Hi dear, I do have second thoughts on this . Electronics are not cheaper here, when compared to the U.S, but are definitely cheap compared to few countries in the EU, but still not the cheapest in the EU. I have experience in retail so trust me on this, luxury isn’t cheap here too - they are cheaper in France and Italy. You can save around $400 on $3000 (on select brands) above price bags - when you buy in France or Italy. The irony is some brands are based out of Switzerland, but are still costlier in Switzerland compared to prices in other countries. For instance, take a shoes brand named ON (it’s not luxury I know), the price of the same shoes is 1.5x - 2x times costlier than in the U.S. having said that even the other luxury items like Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton aren’t cheap either . Chocolates aren’t cheap here too - they are known for luxury chocolates; but definitely aren’t cheap. I have seen the chocolates of same brands cheaper in the US and in Germany and other European countries compared to Switzerland. Water fountains are popular in Switzerland, but if you want to buy bottled water - it costs you 12x to 16x times more in Switzerland compared to the U.S and around 6x costlier compared to few European countries (I live in Zurich currently, earlier in the US)

Chocolates aren't that cheap, but many of them aren't too expensive either. I purchased a bar of Lindt chocolate for 4 chf a few years back. And these are the best in the world.

@@vijaysrini27 Lindt is based out of Switzerland. But the irony is Lindt costs more here than in the U.S (although the difference is just in few cents). When we look at the price as bucks, surely the difference is not noticeable, but if we calculate in terms of percentage, it is noticeable. It’s not that people can’t afford anything in Zurich, it’s a comparison that you can get more of something in other developed countries

Yes, they do. As soon as the cases reduce in India. Our parents have grown old, so it’s risky calling them. In fact, they haven’t got the chance to see their grandchild yet. So it’s really very difficult.
