Five Star been contouring before contouring become a thing .

Fanfreakintastic! I'm a HUGE fan of Five Star and living in the States meant that we didn't get to see really ANY interviews of them, so THANK YOU for uploading this!! I'm grinning from ear to ear......!

even as a kid in the 80s i loved Deniece best she was always having fun and acting the fool in interviews i phoned the fan club offices her mum put her on the phone and she made sure i got bits of her voice on my tape recorder happy days there mum Deloris was an angel spent ages talking to the fans on the phone when my dad died she sent me records and fan club stuff and a letter that says our love always love five stars mum beautiful woman .

I was just thinking that when I watched another interview I said oh my goodness is it me and that she remind me of Toni Braxton the oldest brother always reminded this is Michael Jackson and to me the youngest brother resembles Eazy-E

I have always been a rock fan but 5 star were my guilty secret back in the day. And all the girls were gorgeous ( probably still are today )

It was pure fate for all those siblings. What a wonderful story. The magic was definitely there and their father Buster Pearson was a Genius to see the potential of these kids. He set them up for life while we were kicking around in the streets getting up to no good. I am still in awe of them even after all these years. They were wholesome, clean and polite with raw talent to churn out hit song after hit song. Just remember how young they were and the level of commitment and maturity they required to meet grueling schedules and the rest of it. Their Parents raised some fine children. You don't see this kind of phenomenon much anymore. The 80's really was the Genesis for the future of music. Just look at how fresh their music still sounds even after nearly 30 plus years !! A true testament to quality. I rate 5 Star in my top 10 of all time favourites.

Exactly 💯💯 they are phenomenal

i always thought Lorraine or their mom did Denise's makeup. Her look in "Stay out of My life" and " Find the Time " in the red and white outfit and Doris makeup in the dark blue outfit in the same video is bangin as hell.

In that type of London accent you dropped the "h" on a lot of words, whereas the new urban type of London accent you always sound the "h".

Unlike the other 4, del didn't wear makeup and foundation.

i doubt they would've paid for production of cds and promotion and tours are expensive. add to this the videos ...

I know JJ debuted one year earlier but she hadn't established her moves then, she adopted that later on. Five Star had the moves nailed in 1985 with All Fall Down, then JJ adopted that in -86. They debuted in 1983, with less success but I saw them already then and they were pretty much the same as in -85. Everyone is inspired. So not claiming it's all unique, MJ even stated his inspiration sources. @@dky_1353
