It’s funny . Just because they made money and moved from Romford to a country mansion, the press tore them to shreds. It was almost as if the press thought that they should not be allowed all of this success. Fact is they sold millions of singles and albums and were very talented. Denise’s voice was amazing and their tunes were catchy .

Yes they got ridiculed They where humble and friendly and got treated awful from certain angles the press where going out there way to put them down Shame they didnt deserve the digs they got from the shitty sides of what can come from fame And they where unlucky in this are getting bullied for jealousy and they where enjoying fame in a humble manor Some get cocky with fame they don't get rideculed Five star did and wasnt cocky just enjoying fame like everyone else would

Not only that, their dad owned the biggest and most successful independent record in the U.K for a few years. That's why they made so much money as most of the hits were not written by them. and when you are told that you have to much for a black family, the knifes were always gonna be out to get them. They were so mis managed,it was impossible for Buster to take them to the next level and run a successful independent label at the same time,he should of let them have new management in 1986 and sign with Epic records then, not in 1990 and the other offers which he turned down ,Wham gig,Disney and other offers too.lots of people wanted to help which would of stopped the decline for the group.

@@jamesdavidkmoss They got ridiculed because the British don't like ostentatious displays of wealth, or not at this time, buying big expensive mansions and supercars didn't endear people to them, they should have kept it under wraps.

This must be 10th August 1988 if it's Lorraine's 21st birthday. Except that was a Wednesday so if it was a Saturday show it must have been 6th August 1988.

It's all very innocent though. I can't believe how inoffensive and naive they all are despite having lots of money.

It’s still rubble and no care home has been built as I live locally to it, such a shame as it was a lovely house

I drove past it yesterday and got a pic. Why was it demolished and why has nothing been built on the ploy? It looks a state. Such a waste and quite sad.

It was on the A30 in Sunningdale just before you get to Waitrose, it was pulled down and still the land has not been built on and is just a wilderness now. Such a shame as it was a lovely house.
