I can't think of any other entertainer that can make batreps as enjoyable as you do. Your enthusiasm is so contagious. I also love the little sound effects, really brings the action to life.

I love that you're adding some small role play elements. Excellent episode as always!

Only starting the battle phase but I had to comment. These big monsters look epic and scary! No way anyone survive if hit by theses teeth and claws! My mind is blown by the quality and dedication you put in. Even if you are beating yourself up because of potential missed rules or w/e, it doesn't matter to us. Your work is bloody amazing.

@lockedlake I mostly just share on miniatures painting discord servers I have an Instagram, but never lost to it and honestly can't even remember my account name. I should probably dust it off. My current project is a promotional commission for the Dungeons and Dreadnaughts 3d model company's upcoming Kickstarter and previews of my work are on their discord.

Awesome as always. Just wanted to say a thank you for this series. It got me so pumped about 5 parsecs I took the plunge and bought the book now I am just painting up my crew. Can’t wait for the conclusion of the story!

I have this neat little journal/planner thing called a Rocket Book. It's got these wet erasable pages that you write on with the Pilot FriXion pens. The pens are erasable on regular paper too, but you have to wait for the ink to dry. Anyway, I use it anytime I'm playing a game that tracks all kinds of instances, effects and threads like with 5 Parsecs. I used to use sticky notes but found that I flew through a pad pretty quickly. I'm telling you, Rocket Books are better than a digital pad because the physical presence alone reminds you there are features and effects to apply in the game. For some reason, and maybe because digital devices are so ubiquitous anymore, we seem to forget to check our Notes on them while we play.

I feel like the rolled reward at the end should have been the item in the loot cache that you gave up in the last turn. I think the universe was trying to give you permission to take that item

Very cool.... really loving this series. Great work here, Trevor. :) I'm glad I waited to watch these episodes, so I could watch them back-to-back, instead of waiting a few weeks between each episode...... I do personally prefer the more narrative-focused nature of your other MM&D series, but this is still so great and I love that you still add narrative elements to this as well. Awesome :)

We're almost to the end!

I'm planning a season five now that's just... somehow Ricin ends up on the same planet as Edbert, Arne, and Simon and they all meet up and go on an adventure first in the "outback" of the ironlands, and then sailing the sea. I'll even hope for Carlos to make a return if I get Capt Nikola. Then they can all go to space and we'll have a space... hunter guy or whatever Arne is, space barbarian, and space tracker. It'll be awesome. Maybe there will even be another Kraken?

I got that result while fighting Krorg and gave one of my guys a primitive melee weapon and modeled him with a claw weapon.

We've come a long way and 5PfH is almost over already, what a journey! Also, you unintentionally (or maybe intentionally?) Show case Mythic's versatility for building narrative on a game. Maybe it's too late for this suggestions but how about some sticky notes to reminds yourself when you got a new perks / ruling / disadvantage? I was thinking I am a bit rude in my past comments on past videos (sorry about that) but I think that sticky notes, or even better white board situated near the camera out of lens view will help. I always have a sticky notes on a wall whenever I record my play because sometimes I forgot even the main character name from the top of my head (I am mid-30s btw) and those 1-3 seconds to remember details break the flow of my delivery, so sticky notes for important details it is!

I am very tempted to dive into this game, but the need for all those minis and terrain features etc. always turns me away. Would be so much easier if there was a way to build your environments on simple grid paper.

You can do that. No terrain required. Also, in one of the supplements there’s rules for playing without even a tabletop or minis :)

I'm several months late and also might be remembering wrong, but didn't you still supposed to have 5 credits worth of fuel?
