Five Minute Histories: The Admiral Fell Inn

Fell’s Point used to get pretty rowdy! For over 50 years, the Anchorage Hotel provided safe boarding for visiting seamen. Today that hotel is the Admiral Fell Inn. We hope you enjoy our new Five Minute Histories video and see you next week.
This is our series called "Five Minute Histories." Twice a week, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and website.

My dad moved to Fells Point in the late '70's and I lived with him that one year ('81-'82) I worked at Center Stage. It was a great village to wonder around in during that time. Thanks for this history of an iconic building and service that it served!

You are correct. It was a great time walking around Fells Point/ Charm City in the 80’s.

For reference, their appears to be about 1200 active liquor licenses in Baltimore.
