Fitting Crash Protection || Yamaha MT-10/FZ-10
Before installing more parts on the Yamaha MT-10/FZ-10 I thought it would be a good idea to install some crash protection. This includes frame sliders, fork sliders, rear axle sliders, engine covers and rear chain adjusters which will be reviewed in an upcoming video. This video features full tutorial/install on every part shown as well as my reaction at the end of the video. The brands that are featured consist of GB racing, Evo Tech, and Lightech.
Tools Used:
Torque Wrench (Frame Sliders): amzn.to/3eWHLK2
Torque Wrench (Engine Covers): amzn.to/2Qgxv4O
Torque Wrench (Rear Axle): amzn.to/3mBWdsw

Those Lightech chain/wheel adjusters deserved at least an honorable mention.

In spite of the weight gain of a centerstand, they beat the snot out of spools and paddock stands.

Great video! 👍😎🇦🇺 Thank you. I’m just interested why you would put on rear axle sliders when in particular on the RHS you have an expensive exhaust can to provide the “same protection”. Was it more for aesthetics or just because they are sold in pairs? Plus you have the rear lift spools that also work as sliders? 🤔. Ok, I added my comments above before the end of the video in which you do comment on the above. Thanks again. It’s always a good investment that you hope never gets a single scratch... great job! 😊

Yamaha didn't use any on the original bolts, so probably not as long as you torque them up to spec then you should be golden.
