Louisiana pelican?
Been watching your channel for a while. I'd hung up my rods for over 20 years after getting skunked numerous times bc of a lack of knowledge. Happy to report, I broke out the old kit & I used some of your rigs and tips on a recent trip: We averaged 1 fish per every 15 minutes!! My boys were thrilled, and caught the fishing "bug," really appreciate you and your channel for helping me get back out there and share a great sport with my boys. Hat tip from Texas!

I'd put Ricky up against any other waterfowl or shorebird we have here hahaha!
Old Florida dude here. I fished A LOT growing up and currently don't have access to salt water fishing at this point, so I fish vicariously through your videos. You fish in very similar ways to the way I liked to fish back in the day, though we only had mono and wire leader, no braid. So I'm working up to going fishing again one of these days and learning the new gear and how to be a much better fisherman than I used to be. All the best to you and yours and thank you for the videos - I'm always waiting for the next one!
Steven thank you for the information and tips. My family and I very much enjoy all of your videos. God bless you and may your channel continue to grow.
Great video as usual!!! Thanks.
Awesome content
Steve, that was so funny with the pelican. He wanted you to pay his fee for fishing on his tuff.
Love the channel 💯💯
Hope you and your mother are having fun on the beach 🏖 fishing 🎣 here

Ricky chose violence today 🤣
Love all your videos. Gives me a taste of what I'm unable to do. Love the Catch/Cooks best but this was a fun one too. Thank you, from Ontario, Canada.
You're making Ricky a famous.I like how smart Ricky is by returning the bait to you and probably hoping to get a fish.
I have to say that was quite entertaining seeing him trying to bite ya. I watched that part over a few times laughing 😂. I've not been bit by one...yet...but I'm sure it's coming soon haha.
I love the shore fishing videos. Probably never get to take a boat out but I might be able to get to the water sometime.
My husband and I watch your videos daily. He loves fishing and you have taught him so much. We are in Alabama 3-4 times a year and he is really trying to learn how to fish from the shore. Thank you for your heart for teaching and for the Lord .
You're my favorite fishing KZreadr!!
That was excellent action! Great video.... that bird was funny!
You’re killing it brother love your videos keep it up and keep them lines tight 🤙🏼
That dang pelican! Lol you’ve got bird followers these days too Bama 😂
Appreciate the shoutout 😂😂 God Bless you man!
About Ricky, you give him a fish, you feed him once. Teach him to fish, you feed him for life!😉😉😉
Loved this video and your laugh. Yep, don't feed the birds, they will not leave and eventually attack. Sea Gulls are no different! Keep makin these great videos, I keep learning more each time.
You and Ricky keep up the great content ‼️‼️
Ricky just wants to see what you were making for dinner. I can relate. Always good content.
Love how Ricky's demeanor changes when the rod tip bends!
That Ricky guy just ain’t gonna let you be!! Great show, your commentary and interactions with Ricky and your Mom had us rolling with laughter!! Keep up the great work!!!
Wow, the bird gave me the fish, continue fishing with my beloved wife, I hope you always have a happy day, my brother 16:49 👍🙏🙏

I love Ricky the pelican. 🎣
Love them Snappers, red ones are my favorite but that mangrove would do just fine on the pan.
We enjoy watching your videos. We love going to Gulf Shores camping and fishing. That was so funny watching you and Ricky 😂 thanks for sharing
Good job bama man. Looks like lots of fun
Merry Christmas dude!
This was an awesome video! I watch all your videos but often forget to comment. That pelican sure gave you a run for your money lol very entertaining! Seemed like you were having a bit of fun with him. And as always I enjoy seeing you fishing with your mom. I’m a mom of two sons around your age and I enjoy spending time with them too. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

😂😂😂😂I love Ricky
The pelican wouldn’t leave you alone lol
Nice video we get to deal with Pelicans over here as well. They like to sit on the barge with us as we are working. Gatlin and chief have a tendency to run them off
I used to know a pelican that was sort of an informal 'pet' of a charter boat at the Boca Hotel. He was pretty tame and the captain could hold him like a football and it would make noises like it liked it. 'Charlie. nipped me on the back of the leg once when I got between him and the fish cleaning table.
What’s up Steven? Merry Christmas! Also my brother was in the army and learned how to salt water fish from your videos when he got out this past year. So thanks alot I’ve had alot of fun going fishing and stuff with him and it woulda been gay if we couldn’t even catch fish lol. Also you ever think about doing like fishing collabs with other KZreadrs like Ace or Fowlers makery and mischief maybe Luke from out doors boys. idk how realistic or if you’d even care for it but it’d be cool videos to watch to me
I've been watching you for a while now and I get excited every time I see that there is a new video. My question today is, I have noticed throughout your videos as you transition to new gear and set ups. What do you do with all the other set ups? I am not really new to fishing but I have a cart full of the gear on amazon that I just can't afford. What do you recommend that would be a bit more affordable on a single household income of an LEO? I don't want gear that will only last one season, but I am also on a really tight budget. I do also want to thank you for your service and also for your acknowledgement of the good Lord up above in all your videos.
The Steven and Ricky show 🤣
So funny, old Ricky. Have a bone to pick Steven, the sizes of the long sleeve tshirt and hoodie start at Large. As a woman it would be gigantic. Really love the merch, especially the long sleeve tshirt but need to be more female friendly with the sizing.
Ricky reminds me of a young Sam. Lol 👍🏻🤙🏻
Those possums with wings will steal all your bait and grab a stringer with fish on it. Bless you for taking your dear mother out fishing Thanks for the video
My grandson caught his first fish right there! Toadfish
You started out fishing across the road from the sewage treatment plant, that's where those culverts come from,I lived not far from there for a few years before moving over to East fairway drive off Ft Morgan road. I'll be down there for christmas
Sunday upload!! 🎉
I use acme spoons inland, catch a bunch of bass and crappie with them. Maybe on one of your next trips could you use some. I'd like to see what you can catch with them in the salt water. :)
Wow’ great brother , I like too🎉
Many years ago I was in PCola at my dad's cousins house, and they lived a couple of blocks away from the bay. I was bored so I found a poll and walked the 2 blocks. When I got there a man was leaving and told me he didn't get a bite the whole time he was here. He noticed I didn't have any bait, so he gave me when he had left. I put a shrimp on and casted out as far as I could. The biggest fish I had ever seen jumped out of the water and took the bait. I set the hook so hard it pulled it halfway to the shore, I'm reeling and reeling to get the slack up and get it in. It was an 8lb spec. I went straight back to the house, and everyone was amazed. Needless to say, we ate fish that night and had enough to have it for breakfast for me. I would say that's when I get hooked on fishing, but at the time I was about 10 years old going fishing without bait. 😁
Hey Mom ! 😁

You are really helpful and I want to do charter fishing businesses in Destin fl and you’ve been really good inspiration ps thank you for ur service
So you’re using a 2 watt hook? I never knew they were electric! No wonder I never catch anything!😎😎😎. As always, thanks, Stephen and God Bless.
Don't let that Pelcan push you around. I just chase them off. No I do not hurt them, but will chase them when necessary. At the fish cleaning area, if they annoy me to much, then I squirt them with the hose. Stand up to that bully, don't be a "snow flake"........LOL. ❤ Love your video, still want to go fishing with you.
Another good vid, love seeing what you guys can catch over there. I've been out fishing a few times recently but have seen barely anything bite worth eating. Tight lines as always!

@@BamaSaltwater Very true, that's pretty much how fishing is, you go out and just hope you catch something, no guarantees! Still always enjoyable though.
Awesome videos! I would be annoyed at the pelican lol
Looks fun. Don't know if you on east side of Mobile Bay, or down at Orange Beach area..Got to bring grandkids fishing again next summer.
lol crazy bird
That got funnier every time you started laughing
Feed me Seymore!!! 😅
Lol you have way more patience with those birds, I always just shoo them off when we come down.

I love the birds, especially the rescues. It's their home first. Usually I'll hang around and then move to avoid em haha. This one is a local menace these days lol
Thise birds can be relentless. Dad had a 19 inch speck laying on the bank n walked away from it. Fred flew in from the otherside of the ICW snatched it up flew back across n proceeded to gulp it down. Made me laugh but dad was pissed😂😂

That pelican was hilarious....he got your goat pretty good, but I'm glad you gave him something to eat....lol
Steven, love the videos. Interested in your time in the Army. You wore I think a Cav hat in one of your videos. What unit? I was 11B transitioned to 11M. 21 years for me.
Imagine going fishing to relax, and having to deal with a pelican like it's your toddler.
Dammit Ricky!
I'm coming down to Orange Beach this Friday and I am going to go trolling in some 500 ft of water with some Nomad DTX Minnow lures. Really want to land a wahoo but have heard that the fish are moving to warmer water. Any advice? Would love to see another offshore video doing somewhat what I am doing. Would also LOVE to see another Oil Rig and Tuna video but I know it is a risk going out that far. Again, somewhat know what I am doing but also don't. Take care
Looks like you got a new dependent 😂
Man you're gonna need a restraining order for Ricky 😂

Hey Steven I am planning a fishing trip in orange beach in January, can you give me any areas to concentrate on ? What’s your favorite fishing in January? Thanks!!
What's the going rate on shrimp down there...are they by the dozen or pound?
