FISHING the LONGEST PIER in the WORLD for SPECKLED TROUT! (Texas City Dike)

Ойын-сауық

In todays video I took a trip down to a famous fishing hotspot, the Texas City Dike, to try and catch some speckled trout! The Texas city dike is the longest man made fishing pier in the world at over 5 miles long! It’s a great place to catch all sort of fish from the bank, like trout, redfish, and flounder. I used live shrimp and live mullet as bait with popping corks and Carolina rigs and managed to catch a keeper speckled trout to bring home for the catch and cook. Hope y’all enjoy and thanks for watching!

Your videos are very informative and cool. More down to earth than most others because you show the good days and the not so good days. 😂 Thanks.

Nice video. Way to grind it out. I love beer battered fish. They make a packet you can buy but I like your recipe. Plain old flour and cornstarch. Good job. Looked delicious! A little malt vinegar and voila!

I have to remind myself of that all the time! I always try tend to cast out off the rocks first but makes just as much sense to cast right up by the rocks as well.

Lady Fish aren't trash most people don't know how to to clean and cook them. Step 1. Scape off the Scales and Cut down threw the belly and remove guts. Step 2. (This is Optional but for better results follow) keep them on Ice for 3 days in cooler. Step 3. Open up Lady Fish and use a Spoon to scrape out the Meat from the bones and and skin. (The meat is soft and sticky like that of Ground Beef). Step 4. Take Lady Fish meat and put it in to a bowl, mix in chopped or sliced vegetables and seasonings of your choosing. Mix it well. Step 5. Turn the Lady Fish meat mix into patties. (Cover it in breading and fry in oil if you wish to make Lady Fish Croquettes). Step 6. Pan Fry, Grill, or Bake in oven (with cooking oil Olive or other for best results). Alternative dishes are Fish Tacos, Fish Dip, Lady Fish Poppers or Lady Fish Sandwiches.
