I think your subscribers, myself included, appreciate the fact you showed a video without anything biting while on the boat and pier. Sometimes us fisherman get discouraged while fishing and think it's just us.

Hey Stephen, I really enjoy your videos! I'm a Georgia native and have mainly bass fished but recently have started saltwater fishing. Could you go into some detail about how you choose locations to fish in the boat? I've found that there are usually tons of options as far as nearshore reefs, structure, dropoffs etc. and I get paralyzed by the options and have a hard time choosing where to go! it's good to see that I'm not the only one who gets skunked sometimes!!

I really love my Sonar. If you run over a spot and don't mark any life (fish , bait, hard bottom, etc.) leave it and find another ! There's thousands of reefs out there that offer some good fishing! Also, downsize tackle/leader/hook size if you're marking fish but not getting bit! Good luck, thank you!

Hey Bama! Another great vid no doubt. I love that you show that fishing ain’t always catching😂. Anyways I just wanted to let you know if you already didn’t, I’m pretty sure they dropped some artificial reefs near the end of the pier. I’ve not fished it yet so I’m not sure if there any good but I just figured I’d spread the word. Keep up the great vids!

Can’t win em all. But I didnt see anybody else catch fish on the new pier that day either.

Haha. I live 10 mins down the road from him and he won't go out. Met his mom and bro and they're pretty nice people. I pass by his house while heading out in wolf bay and seen him outside one time, but was in a hurry and didn't have time to stop.

Another great video! Is there a benefit to using a bait caster versus a spinning reel and vice versa? I see you go back and forth often. Your videos are very relaxing and very teaching.

Thanks, I like using my bait casters for artificial lures and kayak fishing. I like using my spinning for bait, pier fishing, and offshore. Baitcasters need more meticulous maintenance in saltwater, and practice casting. I love using bait casters for the torque, individuality, and control.

Fishing a pier is so tough for me, especially intercostal ones.

I do! I've had em for years, dunked em, got sand on em, and they keep going. Are they necessary for fishing? No. Are they nice to have and will they last ? Yes.

I always check under rocks that are located on muddy saltwater shores. Boat ramp docks at night in the "urban" OB/GS area can be great as well, but you have to be fast ! Good luck!

Headed down there next week where's a good shop to pick up bait fiddler crabs and such. Also their particular spot better for cast netting? Also it's probably too late by mail but how can I pick up your Pompano rigs? We are staying down in Orange Beach for a father-son trip

Man those Red Snapper look like they are definitely need to be heavily regulated and limited..... There is just so few of them out there.....

Only catching red snappers doesn’t sound like a bad problem to have until you realize they’re out of season

im a fishing guide in south texas and i see alot of days like this closer to the winter months. cant always catch them. even the most veteran guides have bad days.

Are there regulations on how close you can get to those gas platforms? Or can you get as close to them as you'd like?

I don't understand why Red Snapper is so highly regulated? I was on a fishing boat out of Destin FL last summer and everyone on the boat must of pulled over 75 Reds. You can't tell me that they are endangered.

Where is the store located, my husband and I will be in foley area march 19-24th and wanted to know if it’s a long distance, because we would love to visit the shop and fish some of the places you fish. Maybe even meet ya if we’re lucky. Thanks

Typically Late March - April depending on weather, water clarity, bait, and water temp! April is a really good normally

The snapper season is a joke , only open a couple of weekends in summer in Florida. If the state cared about growing the population they would build more reefs
