    I did a search for KAYAK RIGGING. I've watched at least 10 and not one mentions putting a loose marker bouey in your kayak to fall out and mark where you rolled it. Ever since my first roll, I've always had at least one bouey in every kayak and at the moment I own more than 10 kayaks. I've commented on every video about this hack. Keep em coming! Oh yeah, my PFD is a blow up snorkel vest.

    Getting to see them one after the other was impressive- a stroke of genius. It is amazing what you have done to cover the bases in your kayak. When you see them all together it is very obvious how much work you have done to make your kayak a fishing-catching machine. You forget when they are spread out and limited to two per week. Keep up the excellent work!

    Great ideas Steve. Thanks a lot! I’m definitely going to use the slider “drawer” under the seat, and the buckets in access holes. I already use your Velcro tool rack among a few others and they work great! I’m working on a PVC standup leaning bar, mounted in front flush mounted rod holders for use while flyfishing. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Appreciate the brainstorming ideas! Have a great week! 🎣👍👌✌️🐟

    @@KayakhacksFishing cool video!! Thanks for the reference! Also viewed the side/rear mount camera. Saw on on that one about an inexpensive Action Camera with image stabilization. We have a tandem kayak with Action Cameras mounted in the middle of the kayak aimed foreward and aft. The cameras we have have exposed USB charging ports which I have connected to a DIY battery box, so they can run for hours with no battery changes - really handy. There is a tradeoff between field-of-view and lens distortion because the cameras are so close to us. I haven't had time to redneck engineer a setup which provides the angles your systems have with the ability to externally power the cameras while at the same time protect them from saltwater. Though it's on my to-do list for someday 😎

    @@2reelyakrz481 Good luck with that! Fiddling with field of view is beyond me. I just go with linear to remove distortion!

  • @2reelyakrz481

    @2reelyakrz481

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@KayakhacksFishing I do too because I'd prefer narrower with less distortion to wider angle with fish-eye look. Your solutions place the cameras at a greater distance to the subjects than our setup, so they should take care of the tradeoff problem. The challenge for me is to be able to continuously power the cameras (no changing batteries) without the risk of saltwater getting in them and releasing the magic smoke (which is the special ingredient all electronics have which make them work 🤣)

    Hey I just recently bought the teton angler. I've owned a hobie but someone else needed it more than me. I'm trying to make the best of my situation, so I've been rigging up my kayak for bass, catfish, and trout on a swift river. I am wondering if you know what track mounted cross bars would fit, or DiY options? I've thought about pvc. But I do like the "feel free" bar, but again not sure it will fit. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated

    I have watched your video on the wood working t track. I have a star rival isup. On the right side there are 2 factory installed scotty bases. My thoughts are to use the t track on that side for mounting paddle holder (yack attack rotory holder) Net holder. I think yack attack makes the 3 rod holder set up . Do you recomend the t track, or should I get a hobie h rail kit ? Truth is I have not measured the distance between pads yet, so I am not sure if I can mount the hobie h rail just yet. But I am asking about ease of use between the 2 styles of system Do you have hands on experience with the h rail kit ? Which style handles twisting force from weight better?

    None of the holes are below the waterline :-) In addition, the ones on the top and the side are very small with compression from whatever I attach. Well nuts are a great option to attach things that also creates a good seal. But, again, nothing below the waterline.

Also I got my net on a leash attached to my kayak, and my fish gripper is also on a leash too and paddle. I want to put lights, rear view mirrors, that wheel thingy, camera mount, rod holders, I am gonna put some type of custom made live well tub on the back that's not too big or small but just right for storing fish.
