Fishing in Mazatlan Sinaloa Mexico

Hello everyone, I am bringing you a video from Maztlan Sinaloa Mexico. I recorded this video in June of 2022 while I was on a family vacation in an awesome hotel called, Playa Mazatlan. I have never fished the Ocean before and didn't really know what to expect. I was eager to give it a try. I was surprised to see how active the fish were, how fast they moved through the water. I plan to come back soon and give it another try. I should be better prepared for the next time. I hope you guys enjoy this video.

Ahh mazatlan.. I liked fishing there so much I decided to stay for the last decade.. You have to use the live cuchitos (sand fleas), and live or dead shrimp. The trick is to get away from all the tourist hotels bc people get annoying real fast. They walk right in front of your line, swim where your fishing, want pictures with the fish, even ask if if they can use your fishing pole..... It gets old real fast... but its worth it as Mazatlan has the best tasting Red Snappers on earth, mojarras, corvinas, Burros (grunts) are amazing too and BIG....all from the beach ... great video

I appreciate your tips. I will definitely try to get away from the hotel I was staying at and go where there are less people. Thanks again.

You absolutely should. I would recommend smaller lures as well. Good luck

What lure where you using, I am going to that exact place tomorrow and I am bringing my fishing rod.

That's awesome enjoy it. My family really likes that place. I used an all metal fishing lure. But if I could do it again I would take a rooster tail. The guy I was talking to in the video was using a popper as well. I would stick to smaller lures for more success! Good luck

Do I need a fishing license to fish from shore there?

Thank you for commenting. No I believe you don't need a license to fish in that area. I did ask the locals and they told me that no.
