Fishing Drone for Beach Fishing - Is It Worth It? How -To & Drone Fishing Tutorial
Ойын-сауық
Drone fishing and beach fishing make a great pair. Or do they? Beach fishing with a drone could end in CHAOS. Either way drone fishing is becoming very popular lately. We are testing out the DJI Phantom for drone fishing at a local beach in Jacksonville, Florida. We are using dropping out Senko Skipper Squidy Bits to hungry fish and seeing what we catch!

Is that a drone or my bird? lol It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's Super Senko Skipper Drone .... love it :)
Good on your guys for making this. Good video and thank for showing the technical difficulties, a real life demo of what can happen. Drone fishing is really catching on here in Australia. Big hi from Australia from our side of the pond!
I love that you went through all the work and risk of losing a drone to catch more bait fish! LOL 🤣

Love drone fishing videos. Love em a lot. Please give us more!!!! Nothing beats the video view when you release the bait and see all of the other fish around it....
Great video, I enjoyed the video. It will be cool when you start getting drone footage. I love being able to see what is in the water.
Prolly don’t need prop guards at the beach. They’re typically to protect from hitting a wall or tree
i feel like i've seen this video b4 was it taken down and reuploaded with some extras?
Great video. Ever thought about using a bait release [Garner or Fli Fli Airdrop] for more precision and accuracy?
Awesome video guys. This looks like too much fun. I've been looking at getting a SwellPro to fly from my kayak. It's nerve racking flying my Mavic Pro over the water.
13:08 he said "is that a drone or MY BIRD?" 😂
If you didn't test the release procedure over the beach, you are full on badass. No way I would have sent it out that far without having tried to drop it first. Nice video!!

I'm using a servo under mine, on channel 8, flip and release. Using on fresh water to lay bait on lily pads in places hard to cast. Using a 330 size drone out of boat. Fun for all.

You should do a video, on a really good recommended fishing drone (like the $200 one mentioned) perhaps get in touch with some drone companies, do a video on the flight tests and so on, and than maybe hold some kind of contest here for us...could even promote your baits. Ticket into the contest would be to purchase one bag lol
Nice video guys. Word of advice - with long surf rods like those you should use a 'bucket' (waist mounted rod holder) so that you can effectively utilize the flex of the rod, especially when you catch a huge fish.
@ooogabooga1837

Yes they should do that
@bushmanphotos

nah we use drones with 16ft rods to catch sharks off the beach and just dig the butt into the sand as we fight or use it in the holder... a bucket would kill your back hauling in from 500 metres out all day long. Bucket is mostly useful only at the end of the fight when you might have to follow the fish down the beach but we still don't bother.
lol!! your friends one job is to close the bale when the line starts to run out...cant even pay attention for the 2 minutes that required...lol!!
nice just have to have the right target fish. Thats a lot of work to bring in a blue fish. Also kite boarders and para sailers. You will be a good steward for this.
nice video mate, oh Louie is so funny I love his character. well done another epic video guys.

How much further were you able to get your bait out with the drone?
"is that my bird" 😂
don't you think running out the line along shore line before you take it out is safer to prevent line jam ?
13:04 is that a drone or my bird 😂😂👌
I don’t see the need to go that high if the goal is to get the line out as far as possible. It seams like your loosing distance by going so high. I think to improve battery time it would be best to fly 20 feet and go out as fast as possible then close the drum with 20 yards left it should then release as soon as it locks and return home all in under 2 minutes. It can be a one man operation

@@lezking980 correct but not such an issue with braid and wind is more of a problem usually and flying high just makes it worse. We find out to about 400metres line drag isn't a problem.

Pure genius bro.. Pure F-ing GENIUS!!
THANK YOU SOO MUCH for this video!!!!!!!!!!! I have a dji spark wanted to go fish for it but coulnd't think out the dropsystem bit you nailed it for me Thanks !!!!🤜🤛 grts from belgium
Great vid bra.. I got the same drone and I'm moving back to Maui in April.. Can't wait to go fishing...
How many baits were you able to drop out before battery got to low? Give me a rough idea I can do it with my pro 2.
Wonder if its strong enough to take out a bunker chunk or even a whole bunker
I saw you at Slatwater expo here in Providence this past weekend.
You guys are having way too much fun! Thanks for the video!!

Senko Skipper oh yeah, we are back. It was the most amazing vacation I’ve ever experienced. Just bought a Hobie Pro Angler 14’ kayak. Caught a nice bass within an hour of picking it up. Know any hot spots down On the bay?
It’s better to leave the bail closed, but the drag really loose. Because if the bail accidentally closes your drone goes down, if the line is leaving the spool really fast and tangles on one the the guides your drone goes for a swim (happened to me). Look into getting a Gannet Bait Release system, definitely worth it. And in case you drone goes down (let’s hope it never happens) and you recover it, remove the battery immediately, open the drone, rinse with fresh water then alcohol and leave covered with rise for 5 days.
@bushmanphotos

we always leave bail open... if you're worried just leave the drag loose so if it does "accidentally" flip it makes no difference. The less drag on the line the better when the drone flies out especially with max payload shark baits.
I hope to fish with you someday, you've taught me so much as a beginning fisherman. Going to fish Santo Domingo, DR next month with my Haitian fiance. We are both so excited!
The line😂😂😂 Had me cracking up
Do you have to worry about the bait not sinking and just floating?

U got me excited man 😁
Fantastic Fishing 👍👍
I used a drone myself. But I a wire leader & a similar clip. But I'm only running it 4ft from the drone. 10ft with a nylon seems to have a bungee sling shot effect. Not reason I'm using a wire leader. Good vid. Good catch.
Awesome one as always bruh , Erin and DJI

Hey skipper but drone fishing is done pretty often and especially in my country of South Africa. We use drones to drop big 1-2kg baits for massive sharks. Its seems silly to go through all that work of sending your bait out so far to catch small bluefish.

You've also just spent 1000 dollars for a drone you've used to catch bluefish.

agreed... we target sharks too... our only issue is getting hold of drones that can carry 1kg plus baits. Phantoms top out at 400g payload.

Is this in Florida? Any idea what's the rule in Florida about using drone to drop and release bait? I've look and online some say no, some say yes.
You dont need prop protection at the beach, you just adding extra weight, you could use heavier sinker instead.
3:08. That's some funny stuff: "I'll take it out a mile. Uh, I'll take it out however much line I have....". Shows reel having less than 200 yds of line.

I have a question, why do you set your rods pointing toward the water? I see you do that in most of your videos. I am always afraid a fish will jerk the rod into the water and always post the rod straight up. I have been meaning to ask you this question. Love your videos. You have me Jonesing for vacation so I can hit the surf.
@ronjensen8190

If you have your drag set just tight enough that the wind and waves wont pull it, then when a fish hits and swims off with the line you wont lose your pole. Sometimes having the rod tip angled downward will keep the wind from pulling your line.
How much weight was on those baits. How many ounces sinkers
