    Nice work, bank fishing can be challenging, but it produces. I wade and bank too. Can’t afford a kayak yet! 🎣🥊

    kastking has a foldable net on Amazon big enough to land big snook with extendable handle. I just tuck it between my back and back pack. Comes in clutch

    It’s unfortunate how pressured st Pete/ Tampa fishing is right now. I found one good spot and someone posted a tiktok and told everyone where it was and it’s burnt now 😔

    I know man, there’s nowhere good anymore… people wonder why I don’t give spots away and that’s exactly why. Because people blow it up and then there’s no more good fishing for anyone anywhere.

    I am a florida native. Grew up fishing the flats from Bradenton to St. Pete and you’re right, it’s definitely overpopulated and over fished. I have since moved to the mountains but still spend at least 10 days a year on the beach down there. I used to live a few blocks from spot #1 spending many morning and evening fishing that whole area the same way your are. let me tell you, walk across the street this winter after a good cold snap. Fish the east side of the canal from the little bridge to the first curve in the canal and you’ll be shocked. That thing gets loaded with big snook once the water temps drop. That dark mud bottom will hold them their for much of the winter.

    What’s TikTok? Haha they’re all burnt because of over population and cast netting especially! If you fish them certain days fish move in and out with tidal movements so fishing tidal movements help fr!!

    I’m trying to get into salt water fishing , is there a reason why you guys use 10lb braid , is it for more line capacity? Or what’s the reasoning I would assume you would want even heavier than that for salt water

  • @simplefloridafishing

    @simplefloridafishing

    Ай бұрын

    Yes more line capacity which allows for longer casting, as long as your using your drag right you can catch very big fish over 30lbs on 10 and 15lb braid just make sure your always using a leader heavier then your braid so you don’t get frayed off

    You don’t wanna net tarpon, they thrash around and tear themselves up. Way worse than leaving a hook in its mouth.
