Nice to see one of my favorite spots on your channel. It reopened about 8 years ago if I remember correctly. If you're willing to make the drive you should head down to the Indian River inlet about half an hour from cape henlopen.
Fished that Pier many times, never disappointed. Always caught fish. Lots of spot. Had some great fish fries after a trip to the Cape H pier.
Those pigfish make excellent flounder bait. I caught my pb (18.5 inches) using one as bait down here in South Carolina

When you were packing up, the first rod you placed in the rack needed to either have the drag loosened or place the hook somewhere else-no need to keep the rod tip in that bent position.

I've got a camping trip booked near there next summer. I'm going to ride my bike across the ferry with my gear and fish that same pier. The camping spot is like a 15 ride away.

Depends on the target species. I fish anywhere from a 2500 to 8000
