So fun! As a 45 year Musky fisherman, you lost that first big one when he cut to the left but you did not swing your rod back to the right at the same time to put pressure on the lure back into his mouth. We've all done it! Great fishing!

See so many lost on the from right to left turn otmr vice versa. I keep them coming in same direction around the boat if necessary before flipping them.

Hi guys, love the channel, if you want to land more pike, use hooks that are wickedly sharp, thinner wire and ,especially them sharp, and when you set the hook, set hard twice.! I grew up in canada catching monster pike and these tips helped me to land way more!.

What a great video! Man oh man I felt your pain losing that big Pike. Been there done that Pike fishing in the Adirondacks area of New York State. That's what fishing should be, you and your buddy having laughs, the pain of losing fish but still back at it the next day!

Awesome persistence

Long long long long long long time fishermen here with a tip... Try putting double split rings on your treble hooks... It lets the hook twist more so they have no leverage to throw the hook... I am sure if you will give it a try it will work... Or simply by the lures that have a swivel where the hook connects to the bait 😜

I love how everyone seems to think you need a really detailed swim bait when in reality it's the shading and vibration along with size that gets them and not the perfectly sanded edge, or even action.

Really nice video guys! dedication was real! But please dont use your net again when the fish is stil full of energy. As you can see it gets tangled up in the net and hurts and cuts the pike. I don't know if that wound was because of it but please watch out. I understand the desperation to catch the fish and the fear to lose it was a lot in this moment, but the health of the pike is the most important

I really like the videos guys keep ik up. Try to keeping your rodtip more pointing the sky mate. If the fish goes to the left then you have to be pulling to the right and vice versa. You are pulling in the same direction as the fish goes. You can see it in the video. Good luck!
