I live in Seattle and Jerry Cantrell was on a local radio station a few weeks ago and was asked about his favorite part of this ceremony. First thing out of his mouth was " all the bands that paid tribute to us by doing our songs, and FISHBONE doing " Them Bones" was legendary!" The radio hosts agreed that this rendition was their favorite! Way to go guys! FISHBONE is Red Hottttttt.

According to De La Soul, record companies try to get three good albums out of an artist, then do their best to sabotage their future for failure. Add the fact that Fishbone's music is naturally a square peg in a round hole. Bottom line... recording companies look out for themselves and will screw over the artist at any chance.

@@dwaynerichardson5380 There's also another reason and it lies with the black community themselves. Over the last 30 years, Hip Hop has been the dominant music form in the black community and among kids growing up, it's simply NOT DONE to go anywhere near a guitar. Why do you think Little Wayne does that "Guitar Solo" shtick of his? Certainly not because of love for the instrument. People like Tosin Abasi, Robert Randolph and Gary Clarke Jr. are modern day black guitarists but if you went up to a group of black teenagers, and asked them who they are they wouldn't know but ask them about Tyler the Creator and Drake, they would because Hip Hop is all they know. So black rock bands such as 24/7 Spyz, Bad Brains, Fishbone and Living Colour are deliberately overlooked because of that. Edit: I should have Mentioned DuG Pinnick of Kings' X here. He could have been huge if he had been a modern day artist. Because he embodies everything that today's society keeps talking about: - He's a badass musician and singer - He's gay - He's black But nobody knows who he is.

@@trmander This makes me sad. Fishbone is my favorite band of all time and easily the best live act I've ever seen. Others have been good to even great. Reverend Horton Heat is always a great show, Descendents were great... Jimmy Cliff was awe inspiring, Toots and The Maytals were absolutely tremendous, The Urge were incredible (and frankly in their prime in the mid 90's probably the closest equivalent to Fishbone live I've ever seen) and the list goes on and on for days. But no one is better than these guys live in my book and as talented as they are Angelo should have never been living his his damn car.
