CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED.

That Voice-Sly Stone-Doug Pinnick.. It's such a soulful voice. I would quit playing guitar, if I could sing like that...DAMN!!!!!

I saw these guys live in 1991 and it was easily the greatest show I've ever seen. Primus opened. Small theater, no seats, just a giant mosh pit going off for three hours straight. Fishbone in their prime were like a freight train live, unbelievable energy. Angelo Moore came out and sang a heart-wrenching a capella song at the end, which is simply incredible seeing as he had been absolutely manic for two hours. Life changing stuff, 18 years ago and it seems like yesterday.

Don't judge me. I am ashamed to admit that I was not a fan, more specifically, they were not on my radar. I think because people were really impressed by the bands ability to incorporate so many different sounds and styles that, at the time, I thought were incongruent. I don't know why I'm explaining myself....but I feel like I should say publicly "I'm sorry!! I didn't know!!" Now, I know. 😎

I shot their show at Voodoo 2011 on 4 hours of sleep, totally exhausted, no coffee. Felt awful...After their set, I felt like a million bucks. Best way to pop the peepers open and start the day EVER

So amazing, so uplifting, so influential and so underrated. 30 years on and they still mean so much to me. Thank you!

Saw these guys for the first time, original lineup, Dec. 2021. Every single band member played multiple instruments and harmonized. It was one of the best examples of musical showmanship I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been gigging and booking in San Francisco regularly since 1998. If you can, book Fishbone rt now because no one’s promised tomorrow and they are one of the greatest and most underrated pop/rock bands OF ALL TIME AND STILL GIG!

It makes me SICKER that they are a well-hidden gem. It is very fun to be a fan of underground\misfit\intelligent bands too deep for the mainstream, but these guys are just TOO GOOD for this type of obscurity! Yet, so it remains.....

Saw them a week ago at the Hollywood palladium. I had no idea who they were before they took the stage, but goddamn they made a fan out of me. Their energy was absolutely incredible. I can't wait to listen to their catalog and catch them live again. :)

I got to share the stage with these guys are their Documentary release in North Carolina. The energy of these men was inspirational. I wish I could play with them again.

Everytime I hear this song, it takes me back to crowd surfing at the UMASS Sudent Union back in 1991. After I touched down when this song ended, my buddy was like “You looked so happy, man.” Still am, Ken😎

It took me a bit to remember this song after not hearing it in quite a while. But that just plays into the surprise: that rave-up, orgiastic ending that builds up throughout the song making it all the better. It's a hard task to find a song that starts out great and just keeps getting greater as in this amazing example. It's even harder to find a better song, period.

If there was ever a song and video that captured the pure universal joy of music, this one is it. This is my go to video when I need a spiritual uplift. Hadn’t been here in awhile but sitting indoors recovering from cancer surgery and needed some everyday sunshine!!

FISHBONE the best band in history

I got to see Fishbone live when we were both young-- and the lead singer, Angelo Moore, was so friendly. Coolest rock star I've ever met, ever. And I've met a few. He was just an interesting dude. They were also the tightest band I've ever heard - or maybe tied with a couple jazz bands. You couldn't get any tighter.

Even beyond rock stars, Angelo is one of the nicest people I've met in general. 100% agreed about the band, too. Though they did get some appreciation, Fishbone should have gotten far more recognition.

This is one seriously feel good song.. Much love to Fishbone for this tune. A great high school memory.

It's safe to say this was the most underrated band in history. If Sly and the Family Stone and Funkadelic had a child they would give birth to The Fishbone.

Look at it this way,Remember when we all were kids playing together at recess or just around our neighborhoods,all our silliness came out we didn't care about color,race,religion or any of that we just wanted to play,thats what I feel every time I see Fishbone,I miss those years.

I so admire people who can dance like nobody's watching. These guys know the secrete. Despite all the negativity in this world, these guys refuse to let it crush their spirit. You got to love 'em for that. And in the process are raising the spirit of others.

Im here bec I was there the first time. Sounds even better now. I didn't realize how well they could play. The drummer is ever'thang. And Angelo the great. Takin us to chu-ch!!!

I saw them perform almost three years ago in Jacksonville, and they can still rock it out. Amazing performance. I'm looking forward to seeing them in a month here again.

People need to stop comparing them to RHCP. Both are great bands with everlasting influence and unique sounds. Don't diss another band just because you like one better than the other.

I'll tell you, I've seen them twice over the last two years, the most recent being about two months ago and the energy is still there. They still put on an absolutely amazing show.

Saw these guys 1991 small venue, unbelievable energy. Met up with my girlfriend at a bar then went home. Open my door and there's Angelo hanging with my gf's roommate. Such a nice guy!!!
