Fish killed after river fills with 'brown effluent'

Dozens of fish have been found dead in the Glenavy River in County Antrim, but the local angling club believes hundreds more may have been killed by pollution.
Anthony McCormack, chair of the Glenavy Conservation and Anglers Club, told BBC News NI the "normally sparkling clear" river turned brown on Wednesday evening.
He said the fish were "struggling to breathe" in the effluent and he fears for the health of the river which stretches to Lough Neagh.
