    Oh wow! Nice Chris! Good stuff! This is so awesome to hear all the behind scenes, I love Kurt Cobain music. I can imagine the frustration with the stage drama takes an emotional toll and exhausting. You always give such great thought provoking interviews. Love your work! Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend. Be safe and have fun!

    Awesome interview (as always), dear Chris! It's very interesting to hear the details of what happened from someone who was right there; obviously, it sounds like it was unintentional with the bouncer accidentally getting hit with Kurt's guitar. But it seems as though the bouncer went nuts afterwards! Love his comment about stage diving! :-) Yes, I'd want to hear the music, too, instead of dealing with all the audience antics! It's great how you always get your guests to speak so freely and comfortably. That's a sign of a wonderful interviewer and journalist! I hope that you and your family are staying safe. Warm greetings, Michelle

    Hey Chris!! So great to hear your podcast, and definitely remember Kurt Cobain!! That's cool you have someone who was first hand there with the Kurt vs Bouncer fight! We can't imagine stage divers at EVERY show and song. That's crazy that Kurt got cheap shotted, and it just sounds like a whole comedy of errors! What a crazy story and fun piece of music history!! Thanks for sharing and lots of love to you and stay safe!!

  • @ChrisContra

    @ChrisContra

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yep, that's crowd surfing. Kurt would do that a lot when they played smaller clubs, usually was no problem, but this time an aggressive and probably drunk bouncer being in the mix led to chaos haha. Thanks a lot for the nice words!

I can understand why he would be frustrated if you are trying to perform. Its not fair for people to pay to see a great show and you get people that tries to ruin it. I would do the same thing as Kurt! Yes they are definitely not afraid of a little scrap! Thank you for sharing this interview xoxo Red button pressed and bell hit!! This blew my mind, I’ve heard about this in 91!! Nirvana actually shaped my teenage years.... so to hear this first hand account is incredibly eye opening. The sound check must have been a nightmare... his vocals are so unique & the stage must have been no good for what they were wanting to achieve that night. Kurt had a way about him... he was a force of energy!!!! No wonder the place was jam packed!!! Man those stage divers, I just don’t know what to say..... it’s part of the vibe yo.... but man, it must have been a nightmare when you wanted to hear the music!!
