I got surgery about 3 weeks. Been watching a bunch of your guys videos each day! Has helped me keep my mind off everything and help the days go by! Love your guys videos and content. I have learned a bunch from y’all for detailing and will use that info for myself! Cheers y’all!
I haven’t seen anyone mention it but his initial reaction is something only few understand. The way his face went from smiling excitedly to what seems emotionless. It’s that pure shock of disbelief that it came out as great as it did and then an even greater smile came back. As far as drivetrain, I’d go with a 454 big block or any chevy big block to have that sound just match the classic drag car look that it has
Currently binge watching old videos of the channel. I love this vintage car & I would rebuild it as a daily driver more than a race car... It deserves to be seen on the roads.
Thank you for going ahead and detailing this Camaro, I miss mine! Great job!!!
My grandmother had a 1968 stock Camero. My dad installed a wolf whistle, so she was the lil ol lady from Bakersfield. Thanks for the memories of my gran and dad!!
Amazing transformation once again on a classic drag car. Awesome guys.
Incredible job guys. You guys are miracle workers. That car looked cool before but now it looks fantastic! I know the interior must have been super nasty but you handled it like the pros you are! Well done!
67 SS from the factory had a 327 not trying to put the video down in anyway they are great guess I told my age I had 3 0r 4 in my time thanks guys!!!!
Wow. That transformation was INSANE
Awesome job guys love your content , I'm in love with this thing and to be honest this being something rare to find now , I would like to maintain the originality of this beast , I would love this to have a big block 427 or 454!!
Lots of detailing videos out there. Yours is my favorite.
Wow, that's amazing, it was so dusty I first thought it was a mat finish. Great job guys.
Hey WD detailing your the best car washers in the entire universe
Slicks look like 14-32-15 and id like to see a nice big block in there ....at least 500 cubes or more 👊💪👍😆
Awesome to hear he's taking it back to stock 💥👊
I got an all original survivor that my great grandfather bought brand new that I would love for you guys to get ahold of. It's a 1965 ford fairlane 500. Keep up the good work. I learn something new every video
this has to be one of my favorite videos of yours. Exceptional work!!!!

Nice!! I have a black 67 and enjoyed watching this transformation
I would just fix it and drive it, 68 is my favorite. A good 327 for power/economy. I like it too much to race it🙂
King for the day just by hauling this car around. Very nice!
Awesome job guys! Sweet car!
That was a gorgeous camaro it looked good after you all got done with it. 👍😎
Love the “I need love” song in the background. It’s like the Camaro calling out!
Beautiful work on a beautiful car
383 keeps it streetable with good power
A real car... 🏆🏆😍😍
Came out amazing ....i love it !!!
Great job, elbow grease makes a world of difference! I’d put in a chevy small block 383, stroked with hydraulic rollers. Pair it with a supercharger. Bam, pushing 600 hp easy without fuel injection.
Awesome video guys!!!! I always watch before I go out and clean my classic cars to get tips and inspiration!!!!👍👍👍👍👍

Incredible job
I would leave it old school if it were me. It's a piece of history and should remain period correct
Fantastic job that wasn't easy I had a steering wheel that was like that with not ever having a rap or cover on it what it was is a like protection like a Polly coating great job love your videos sorry so long
Awesome work WD!
Russ has the best laugh…😎
I don't like classic cars, looking like this scheisse) make this legend look like a legend!)
Brent. I have a 1981 Camaro Z28 and a 69 Camaro RS/SS with a 396 4 speed. And a disc brake conversion from Wildwood. But I love the sound of a 572 Big Block N/A with a big cam and with long tube headers, an off road X Pipe and straight thru Borla Mufflers.
Wowww, Camaro is pure gold brother, now it’s turning out cleaning.
This video made my day big respected you guys for preserving American muscle my childhood friend had this exact car we used to ride around in it as teenagers I look back on it now that car was awesome just like this one my best friend passed away years ago this car brought back all the great times me and him had in that car thank you guys so much and when you have a chance always bring back American muscle cars bring them back to life it's an amazing transformation God bless America and God bless you guys keep up the good work I'm a big fan 🙏👍💪😂🇺🇲
fyi the steering wheel was covered with a mix of pitch and sap so when the car lunched at the light the driver could keep his hand on it and still shift the gears . iv been watching your shows and the work you do is awsome ill be watching all your new and old content and looking forward to lots more thanks
Nooo please don't LS swap that. That things a time capsule. She needs a good ole mouse motor built up for it. I'm loving that "Grump Lump" style old school hood scoop on it.
Amazing work!
Thanks Russ you have some cool cars 👍
Yooo! Rus is back with another awesome car! Nice to see that Camaro looking like new. Worth the hard work!

He has so many cool cars!
Gorgeous car!!
Just wow thats all i have to say wow
That steering wheel issue is what's known as "sticky dash". I'm shocked the whole dashboard wasn't the same way. I'm doing a 2005 VW Beetle as a flip. The ENTIRE interior was very thick sticky residue from all the plastic and vinyl gassing out from neglect and hot sun. After several different cleaners and hours (days) of scrubbing I finally found that isopropyl alcohol (watered down a little) and steam with a brush attachment made the residue just fall right off. You'll need a few brush attachments because they load up pretty quick. Let one soak in hot water to clean while the other is in use. Great job guys!

@@WDDetailing It took a while for me to figure this one out. I was mostly done the interior before I tried something else. But next time...lol!
Id build a high compression, tunnel rammed, small block backed by a 5 speed and a bunch of gear in the rear end. The car already has that period drag car look, Id keep it going that route. Thats the vibe IM going with my 65 Comet, powered by a 14 to 1 compression 289
That man has a quite a few cars.

Great work guys!! Btw.. I love your choices in music during your vids!
Like to start by saying, great channel! I've really enjoyed watching these as I wind down for the night. I'm sure it's been said in other videos, but what's the best cleaner to use for interior and leather seats? Lastly, what psi would you recommend for a foam cannon? Thank you and keep up the great work!
Same, Centerlines I had on my 1970 Chevelle...396 😉😊
That looks like 3-4 drag cars my dad used to own in the 70's & early 80's. Definitely keep it old school looking like it is
Awesome🔥🔥🔥👍🏾
amazing job, incredible car
When you start buffing that old paint and it turns that beautiful Shiney black again it's remarkable.
Time for the track. sweet drag racer from the time.
I love the music. I used to have a a detail shop but I was in a real bad car accident. I was hit by a drunk driver. I can not do anything eny no more .you guys do ausum work, and I wanted to say thank you for your channel 🙏 😊
I'd just like to take it back to when it came off the assembly line 👍
"Had a heart attack mid hump" 😂
Awesome Detailing as always. I just hope he capitalizes on the op and keeps it running. These cars need to be driven and appreciated By the way what is RJ s workout routine. Other than the detailing workouts!!!
Yes. Please put this beautiful machine back on the road

Awesome Job Guys I love the 1967 Camaro because we're the same age😁
Nice job guys I hope he puts it back on the street
Classic
Def a nice roller project .squeezing a 12v in there should be a cake walk
I'm building one,I'm goin with a 539 ci with a American power.train 6 speed made to do protouring 780 hp double overdrive with Hodgkin's suspension frame extenders..... Nice car good luck 🤞👍 open up.the check book! But well worth it!!! Alot of family history!!!!!!!! Love it!!!!
Amazing!!
GOOD JOB
Bet that thing will be a monster when it gets up and running
I'm heading to the car wash now haha great work on a great car👍
Depends on the plans. If it's just for a fun weekend on the track id put 400 SB stroked to a 434. But if it's for some serious racing either a 481X or 502. With a pro-charger for power adder.
Merci
My dad, a plastics engineer explained what the sticky stuff on the steering wheel is: Plastisols. Plastisols are the setter of a Vinyl plastic. The Plastisol is semi volatile meaning that it slowly migrates to the surface of the plastic causing the plastic to shrink and have a sticky surface. The way to stop the migration and shrinking is: You can’t. The best way to clean the wheel is: GENTLY wash the wheel!!! DO NOT gouge or damage the plastic! I have restored many old steering-wheels and the most common damage I see is from overly aggressive scrubbing. 1) Dish soap and warm water is very effective most of the time and in a lot of cases is all that is necessary. Clean using an old toothbrush and some rags that you are willing to throw away. Remember the three keys to cleaning are: Time, Agitation, and Contact. 2) If the soap and water didn’t work use high concentration isopropyl alcohol like 91% or so. Use the same method of cleaning as before. Optional: is you have a steamer it really helps to accelerate the cleaning process. Finally you need to put a surface protection coating on the wheel (NOT a wheel cover!) Silicon Oil is what I have used for years it is very effective and lasts for about two to three years. I hope this helps with anyone els who is restoring an old steering-wheel. Wish you the best and remember never give up on your old car and they will never let you down.
I don't get much time between visiting my mum in hospital with termnal cancer sorting her place out and keeping an eye on my place to also don't se friends or have transport any more as mine was stolen well visiting my mum so vedieo like this make me smile a little and make me still like a part of the car community
Commend you for saving the steering wheel. Suff leaches out of the rubber like a pcb. I threw some away in the past because i couldn't clean it off.
Nice looking billy cart!
That’s good stuff. Keep up the good work You should build a playlist of old videos. And advertise that to new subscribers.
The LS motor is strong and can take a lot of power! So that is shAt I’d use to get the numbers he wants on the quarter mile. Either turbocharged or supercharged! Love the video bud! Your smooth as silk n Russ loves ya!! We do to guys!! Keep on keeping on!!!
67 68 and 69 are my fave Camaros. Twin turbo LS Is a good choice or a built small block Chevy running NOS. Me personally I would build a stout 396 with twin turbos and a 5 speed Lenco transmission. The steering wheel looks like a mid 1980 steering wheel.
Had 32 Camaros since 1979, OCD Obsessive Camaro Disorder for sure. IF THAT IS a 4P coded trim tag what he really should do is restore it since it's first year SS and the dash and firewall floors are not cut up too bad. One of the hottest Camaro Pairs to have is the newest and the oldest. IF NO 4P then resto mod it with an LS 5 speed.
I think that you should put another 396 back in it. But an LS motor would probably be nice too. That sticker that says safety check is something they would put there for drag racing. They would have to be checked out and then they wouldn’t be allowed to race without it. Another great find and looking forward for the restoration.

The paint looked looked like an Earl Scheib $199.00 special . :)
