My dad was in the military and was stationed in Turkey for 3 years. He and my mom said the people in Turkey were the friendliest people in the world. My mom cried when it was time for them to leave. Very happy for you Dan and Susie.

It's beautiful in that part of Turkey. That sky is so blue. Family friendly. It is a shock to the system to be in a different place. It's a nice calm place. So glad you and, your family are enjoying it. I see why Suzi loves that area. Looking out at the water, so clear. The Mediterranean is beautiful.

There is no way I could travel and get your personal & unique viewpoint (way of looking at things). The western half of of the USA and the southern half have many cactus and types of cactus. Even in Keyser, West Virginia we have the same Prickly Pear that you have shown us.

So happy you are in Turkey! and in a small family friendly town! It's nice and warm! Not complaining but it's cold in Berkeley California right now. Love the fruit trees orange and pomegranate and the big palms.Your sound and picture are excellent! You are NATURALLY IN SHOCK, who would not be? Everything is so different! Where you are seems very tropical and warm. That plant you just passed is Schefflera arboricola, and I have one.All the trees, plants and flowers are so happy! Suzi loves the town surrounded by mountains, with 2mgb/second, very poor internet. The mountains are the reason for the slow internet, and why the town is so calm and peaceful. Better you don't spend time editing and just upload as is. You can eat the leaves of that prickly pear cactus, it's very good for you. I agree about the vandalism - vandals. Love the sturdy way Sati walks.18:30 that plant is pittosporum. 19:50 on right is sago palm. Sati, thank you for hugging our tree friends-family! The water is so clear and clean! There are sharks??? I'm Canadian, a Veteran of our military who has been in combat (I was an Airborne Sniper) and I tell you this because I see how bad the world has become. I grew up in the 60's & early 70's and we thought the worst was behind us, little did we know! You are so right, a few weeks ago you said " governments want you to be afraid". I'm not angry that you are right, I'm angry that you were forced to leave your homeland to find peace & be happy. Canada has become a dictatorship & I am angry that I also feel I need to leave my homeland but, where is any different? I sincerely hope you & your small family find that peace. I am at the age where I will lose more than I gain & I'm ok with that, just want my remaining years to be peaceful. I lost my beautiful wife 4 years ago, my world came to end that day, I don't want to spend the rest of life miserable fighting for mine & the rights of freedoms of others but perhaps that what was meant for me to do? I also grew up in 60's and 70's in Texas, USA, and I graduated High school in 76. Just after the government pulled our people out of the Vietnam war. It was a sad time in the US, but we hung on and grew from the struggles. All we can do is pull ourselves back up and enjoy the time we have left on this planet! Like this lovely family, enjoying the beauty of the mountains and coast of Turkey. How peaceful and beautiful it is! Nothing brave to go on vacation to Turkey. Every winter Russians outnumber Turkish population in Turkey, very brave bunch of people. Russian tourism is big part of Turkey GDP.

I feel that no matter where we are on the planet, we are all getting used to different. Turkey is beautiful!! I love Istanbul. I felt so comfortable and the city was so Alive. I met so many wonderful gracious people. Was invited to take supper with a few people. I would to go back. Have fun and enjoy it all. I’m so happy you get to see the world!!!

Mountains, flowers, fruits and trees look like parts of Southern California. This looks like a wonderful family town with lots for Sati to do. Mediterranean water looks so beautiful and inviting...don't think you need to worry about sharks. Sati would love to play in the sand I think.
