movie is fucking awesome watching this in the theater was hype especially that boat battle with davy jones at the end and the music was bumping in the theater never thought i would have been so into a so called kids movie ,i call it a kids movie because my son was the reason we even went to see this and we had a great time .. acting was on point every character was great movie is funny and for 2007 the special effects are amazing and still hold up .. dont know if anyone mentioned it but bit of trivia for this movie the pirate that plays jacks father is keith richards from the rolling stones johnny depp has sayd that richards is the inspiration for jack sparrow so he had to get him in the film

@@JimmyMacram Since I remember you enjoying "Death Of Stalin" I highly recommend watching "In The Loop" by the same director, Lord Beckett actor Tom Hollander nails his part in that and the movie is funny AF, some top tier insults in that one that I'm quite sure you would love.

Pirates Of The Caribbean At World’s End is my favorite Evening I thought they where going to end the Pirates of Caribbean movies with the third one but nah

Stranger Tides was a good spin-off, a fun side story. The final one was...it really undid Jacks development, let's say, but did a lot for Barbossa.

The character arc for Barbosa in the 5th movie is fantastic. The 4th one brings on some new elements that I find entertaining. They're truly not as bad as people make them sound.

there were definitely moments in the theater when I both loved the movie and felt disappointed. I left the theater feeling confused and angry at the decisions they made and how that was going to be the last of the Pirates movies. When I heard there was a fourth I didn't bother.

Please watch the underrated 1999 classic "Mystery Men" Geoffrey Rush steals the show and the comedy is right up your alley!!

Please don't let other peoples judgment cloud your own , the last 2 movies are still a lot of fun and they do some interesting things with one of the main characters. So hopefully you'll reconsider watching 4 and 5

I actually love Dead men tell no tales. It's definitely worth watching. It ties up some loose ends and gives great back stories. I won't say more because spoilers.

I like the other two after this

I liked 4 even tho it was a step down from the original trilogy. 5 is a cinematic abomination imo one of my most hated movies ever. 4 to me feels like a watered-down version of the original trilogy, where 5 plays like a bad parody of that trilogy

Hey Jimmy, ty for the great reaction as always. Personally I think Pirates 4 is still a pretty fun movie (carried by Depp as Sparrow and Rush as Barbossa) and a nice sort of epilogue to the Pirates franchise as a whole. People are way too critical of it these days because when it came out it was clearly not on the level of the first three, but I hope you end up checking it out in the future. But pls do hear everyone when it comes to Pirates 5. It is absolutely an awful and terrible movie. Edit: Nearly forgot to add, but just like you I personally was never a huge fan of Will and Elizabeth whole romantic plotline, which is why in terms of enjoyment Pirates 4 is a far better movie for me than 3.

Did you get to watch the end credit scene? I felt it added a nice touch to the story.

I rememeber being disappointed by this one but I was a kid when I saw and at the time I didn't appreciate the plotting. Now I think it's great even though there is a decline. Pirates 4 is still decent (Ian McShane!) but #5 is embarassing. The new writers did not understand what makes Jack a great character and turned him into a clown.

You should react to just friends or forget Paris if you never seen them.

Jack's dad is played by Keith Richards, who is also the inspiration for, Jack Sparrow's characterization and looks. Also, I do agree this is the weakest of the three. You can really feel them leaning on the characters and skimping on the plot.

First 3 movies were so damn good, shame

Pretty much exactly my thoughts, 1>2>3. Though i admit, that it might be the novelty that keeps the first above the others in my mind. They're fun movies and that's about it, no need to go deeper than that imo.
