@@rtaylor7384 Nah, he's infected. If he wasn't, then how does he know the lyrics to Show Stoppin' Number? He wasn't present when the professor sang it, unlike every other song the hive cycled through. He was there for all of them... except that one. Hence Emma's scream of horror as her last hope (Paul faking it) is proven wrong And the implication that Emma's at the beginning of the show in the opening number is part of a theory that the show itself is the aliens re-enacting how they conquered the world... like a sick little victory lap. She was infected from the start so of course Paul stood no chance, it's just an echo of who they all used to be.

And the last shot from the back of the theater, before they actually get back on stage, was created entirely in editing according to Nick Lang. Stitched together from three or four different ones, with a lot of frame-by-frame cutting out and stuff. It’s wild!

The creepiest part is that the title is in the past tense because the entire musical is the alien telling how it took over the earth- in musical form. It’s why at the end she says “it’s a loop!?” because her character becomes aware that she’s already trapped in a musical even before the alien takes over her.

I'm wondering if all the nightmare times are the nightmares of specific hatchetfield residents. The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals is Paul's nightmare place, but it could also be Emma's, since she's alone at the end and utterly terrified and powerless. Ted's is being stuck in the Bastard's Box/living a time loop over and over, haunted by his mistakes, etc.

@@RonHeartsMe I didn't think there was a lot of toilet humor in that one, except for the ending of course. But I see your point; I'm usually not a fan of potty humor either, but I still think TTO is one of their funnier, light hearted shows that deserves more attention. I hope they also give "Starship" a chance; it's older and though it's not perfect, I think it's also a fun time with some fun characters and songs!

Favourite Song: Let it out or Inevitable, Fun facts and behind the scenes i guess; Bill’s actor wasn’t actually meant to say “Coffee in the sugar” and Charlotte’s actor had to make a line so the script ran smoothly, her line there was improvised. Paul’s actor actually missed the stage entrance whilst going through the audience which is why he said “right! how did i miss that?!” and their whole big was then improvised until they got back into the stage. Also the reason Professor Hidgens was so flamboyant is because the character and actor are both part of the lgbt community, it’s a stereotype that the actor wanted to add to give more depth of himself in the character!

The movie based on the musical (based on the film lol) has a happy ending, but with a hint that things aren't done... Meanwhile, the original musical stage show ends in a similarly bleak manner to this. I think this one is generally better than Black Friday, but Black Friday is still a great show... If you watch tgwdlm digital ticket version and the script, Ted acting even more like an asshole after he got drunk is because Charlotte is dead. Joey once said in live stream that Ted ACTUALLY loved Charlotte at some point, he actually did care for her a bit. That's why he told Charlotte that Sam is a scumbag, at that moment, that's how he showed that he do care for her. In digital ticket version you can see Ted holding a bottle, staring down at Charlotte's dead body for a very long time. Joey also said he intended to make him feel like he did care for Charlotte, that's why he chose to do that. Of course, that doesn't take away the fact that he is an asshole, but it's just a very interesting fact.
