  • @roystoyscomics1361

The biggest difference between Toby's Spider-Man and the comic book version is his webshooters. In the comics Peter Parker created his own mechanical webshooters and created his own web fluid in cartridges he kept on his suit. The organic webshooters are actually from Spider-Man 2099 a futuristic version. Miguel O' Hara got caught in a Gene splicer with a spider combining their DNA. Sort of like the movie The Fly. Bruce Campbell plays the wrestling ring announcer. Bruce worked with Sam Raimi in many of his horror films. Bruce makes additional appearances in the other Raimi Spider-Man films. Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) appears as the goth chick with the ring in her nose. Also worked with Raimi. 😂 Aunt May in this movie is comic book accurate. Same for Uncle Ben. They were an older couple raising a teenager.

Besides the Spider-Man trilogy, he is best known for directing the original 3 Evil Dead horror movies. So seeing horror elements in his movies makes sense. Spiderman from the comics is only like 14-15 years old. The majority of the stories he is still in high school. They rushed that timeline in the Tobey and Andrew films. And don't get me started with the godawful idea of organic webshooters. Peter Parker was a genius so he designed the shooters himself. And to add to the gravity he can actually run out of web fluid. My personal favorite is Tom Holland. You have to get to him before you know. Holland's Spidey is closer to the comics than the other 2.
