There are 4 separate facilities: 1. Red River - orphanage for supes (it's where Marie is at the beginning of the episode, also it's where Stan Edgar adopted Victoria Neuman from, and we saw Teddy Stillwell there in s 3) 2. Elmira adult facility(we haven't seen it, the only info about it is from this ep, that supe orphans get sent there if they're not adopted or accepted into God U, etc.) 3. Sage Grove - that's where Stormfront and Lamplighter were testing compound V on adults 4. Woods

Fun Easter egg, if you go back to the episode where hughie is checking out the orphanage, you'll actually see Marie on the screen when he's looking through it's directory, same actress and all.

Each core character superpower represents a theme that teenagers and young adults wrestle with: - Marie - self harm - Jordan - self identity - Luke/Sam - rage/radicalization - Cate - manipulation The only exception is Andre until you realize his powers have a side effect that is somewhat hereditary.

It is if not obvious, at least very plausible and easy to conclude, lol. Because now that I think about it, Emma isclearly symbolizes body image issues/eating disorders. She literally has to puke herself smaller to fit a body image that someone else fids more desireable.

Gen V was an excellent spin off. It wasn't just a forgetablle story with side character or a cheap bait with known characters diggling on our faces.

Gen V is such a crazy ride and does a great job of showing the humanity of each sup character. There’s some crazy crossovers later in season that tie the shows together nicely. Love both shows!

Just to show how good the writing for this show is they were able to find a unique way of incorporating two major disorders that are prevalent on many college campuses, cutting and bulimia. An interesting way of highlighting these conditions and the trauma associated with them.

This show is amazing, Sure the first episode is the introduction to our new characters and powers, but then the story takes off in episode 2, and it only keeps getting better. The twists and turns will surprise you guys. My favorite character is Jordan, and i love Emma and Marie as well. Andre is cool to.

So glad yall love this show so far. This one might be crazier than the boys 😂😂

Nah, its crazy y'all think the Emma scene was worse than season 3 Ep 1 termite scene. That scene violated my soul and after that the Boys universe can't possibly surprise me anymore.

I mean, not really. And it isn't even true. But if we want to entertain the idea... At what point becomes the food part of your body? Our body breaks it down and takes what it needs from it, distributing it further within us. And do you have to take a shit too?

What I noticed is Jordan’s powers are so Interesting because when she is a girl she has offensive powers and when she is a guy she has defensive powers. When I watched it the first time I thought the same thing you guys did about Kate and Rouge and the gloves. Why is it just her hands? The genius of this show is how so quickly they had me almost immediately invested I these characters. I canot wait to watch these reactions this journey will be amazing!

While I really liked "Gen V" right off the bat, it didn't grab me the way "The Boys" did. *However* --- by the end of the first season, I was ALL IN. It just gets better and better and better.

Marie getting blamed really reminded me of actual collegiate sports where the star player and his friends get caught drunk driving or doing drugs and the star athlete gets to walk away while the nobodies take the fall. A specific example would be the Curtain Call where Triple H slid down the card for years while Shawn Michaels was untouched.

I'm down for this series reaction, this seems really cool and a lot of fun!

Easily one of the best first episodes of any show, the way they hooked us in with Marie's powers immediately was amazing. It shocked my just as much as the intro to the boys!

I really liked the character of Emma. I would love to have known her when I was in college.

Got a few things to say here. First off, I’m happy to see you guys are finally onto this show. Secondly, Clancy Brown’s character isn’t the dean. Thirdly, when we see Patrick Schwarzenegger’s character, which we will (minor spoiler), he doesn’t say his father’s famous line of “I’ll be back.” Also, not sure if you caught it, but the character Maverick is the sun of Translucent (from the first season).

Hell yeah we've been waiting for this. Plus with the whole crew! LETS GO!
