All seven of them are releasing solo projects right now. So far, J-Hope released an album (Jack In The Box) in July 2022, and headlined Lollapalooza July 31, 2022. Then JIN, the oldest, released a solo single (The Astronaut) a collaboration with Coldplay, then performed it with Coldplay in Argentina, before he had to enlist in the military. All South Korean men have to enlist in mandatory military service by age 28. BTS were granted a deferment until age 30, due to a cultural merit award they recieved. JIN turned 30 in December, and reported for Duty on December 13, 2022. He will be released on June 12, 2024. All the other guys will be enlisting as soon as their solo projects are done, and their promotions are over. So RM released his album (INDIGO) in December, 2022. And he's been doing promotions for his album. JIMIN (The blond on the end with the hight and pretty vocals) just did a collaboration song with another Korean Artsit named Taeyang, and the song is called VIBE (it's definitely a VIBE). JIMIN should be relasing his album this month. Then SUGA turns 30 in March, so I expect he will drop his album soon. He may get an alternative service due to a shoulder injury, but he's been preparing to enlist. That leaves V and Jungkook, both vocalists. two of the youngest (V is 27, and Jungkook is 25). Jungkook has said that he will be relaesing his album after SUGA. And V has been very secretive about his album release. but I expect it to have some Jazz and RnB, because he loves those genre's, and he plays the saxophone and the trumpet. He has eclectic taste in music, like Etta James, and Bing Crosby. All the guys are highly skilled and talented, and have been successful with their solo projects as well as their Group Work. Jungkook's last song release was Dreamers, a collaboration with FIFA World Cup. It's a beautiful and powerful song. So much talent. I want to link you a bunch of songs, but I don't want to overwhelm you, so if you could just let me know what you want, a Group medley, a hip hop track, some of their solo work. Let me know, and I can link it for you with good subtitles. Thank you for the reaction. I look forward to more BTS reactions.

BTS debuted in 2013, and really emerged in the US around 2016, 2017. They have nominated for 5 Grammys. Because you are a musician, I think the more you learn, the more you will love their passion for their artistry. They write and produce a lot of their music, and write about real topics. You were correct in how many genres they touch. They have Jazz (House of Cards), EDM/rap (Mic Drop), Hip Hop (UGH), pop (ON Kinetic Manifesto), R&B (Serendipity, Louder than Bombs, Singularity), and others songs like Ego, Dis-ease, Fake Love, DNA, Life Goes On… truly you are in for treat. The guy’s voice that you liked that started the second song is Jimin. Some of his solo stuff is Serendipity, Lie, Filter, and Promise. He is my bias, and is truly an incredible performer. I’d also suggest you watch an intro to BTS video. They really came from nothing and faced a lot of adversity, to now become the biggest group from S. Korea, and really made Kpop mainstream in the US. They are actual living legends with kind souls that deserve nothing but good in this world.

Hi hi hi!!! Thanks for the reaction!💜💜 You just dipped your toe, welcome on this journey!! This group has layers and you'll probably slowly understand more and more why they deserve everything coming their way. Even if you end up not liking certain songs down the road, I'd always encourage anyone knowing more about their story, their character and work ethic, so inspiring. They've been around for 10 years so quite a lot to catch up on but it's worth it and here is the link to the Taylor guide people recommend: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqmKwduClNvAgLw.html BTS was originally supposed to be a hip hop group (the 3 rappers are the 3 first members), so even though they branch out a lot in styles and bend genres, you're definitely getting thought-provoking verses and just quality lyricsm because their roots is hip hop! But you'll get more back story in the guide, maybe hear snippets of songs you'd like to tap more into, and understand how each member plays his part (their dynamic is quite unique, all 7 truly bring something to the table). An other good musical introduction to the world of BTS is their BTS Festa Room live 2021, brushing their catalog chronologically in a medley so you get see a bit of their evolution and the diversity/ versatility of their discography!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIaczMaSo7Hdcc4.html Keep it 100%, ask all the questions you want, we'll happily answer and keep your mind open just as you did! Blessings 💜

They are very humble and love their fans called ARMY who range in age from teens to seniors in their 80's and 90's. If you liked this one you will love their PROOF LIVE 2022, they sang three songs and it was really amazing, and there is a song that they sang there called Born Singer, is an adaptation of a song which is Born Sinner by J. Cole, they did the song when they first started their career and the lyrics are really profound, singing it after 10 years was probably really meaningful for them.

I see many in the comments suggest the guide to know the members, but i would advice you to look up the BTS FESTA 2021 performance and look at some of their music videos first. Some suggestions for music videos: Fake Love, Black Swan, ON: kinetic manifesto. Theres a LOT to look into, theres 4 vocalists and 3 rappers and each member has solo projects as well, so it sure can be overwhelming with the amount of content lol. :)

welcome to the bts rabbit hole. bts is a very versatile group and their music has many different genres. currently they are the #1 group on the planet, with over 350+ songs. their performances are on another level along with their mvs. there are documentaries on the group to help you out. this was done during covid so they could not perform with their band, at concerts their band plays in the back of the stage. watch more videos i think you will be surprised, i am glad you enjoyed them. it will be hard to say where to start with bts because there is a massive amount of content from documentaries to dance practices, concerts, award show performances, mvs, to the behind the scenes preparing for an event. you can start with the mv 'bulletproof and just continue to today's works, enjoy.

Thank you so much for checking them out and being open minded!! This will most likely be a long comment sorry. First off let's talk about this performance: Member Names from Left to Right: Jhope (red mic), Suga (black mic), Jungkook (purple mic), V (green mic), Jin (pink mic), RM (white/gray mic), Jimin (orange mic) Songs: -Dynamite: A song released during the pandemic to help lift up spirits. Even though it doesn't have the deepest lyrics it was released at a time the world needed it (in my opinion). -Save Me: is a heartfelt song about how someone’s love can go a long way in saving a person from the depths of darkness. It connects to many songs but the main ones I see are I'm Fine and Fake Love and it get even deeper and interpreted a little differently when you understand the other song. -Spring Day: RM and Suga wrote it thinking about friends/family that they lost, grew apart with, etc. The song itself is about longing, loss, and yearning for the past. It also kind of has a hidden message in their music video connecting the lyrics to the tragedy that happened called the Sewol Ferry Tragedy where hundreds of kids died. It is hidden, because they could have been blacklisted. I recommend Italian ARMY explanation video after watching music video if interest. Fun Fact: Spring Day has never left Korean music charts since its release in 2017 and every Spring or Winter (I can't remember which season) it rises up the charts again, so it is called the Queen because of this. Now about BTS!!! BTS has three rappers (RM, Suga, Jhope) and four vocalists (Jungkook, V, Jimin, Jin) BTS stand for Bangtan Sonyeondan which roughly translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. "It has a profound meaning...‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents." The fandom is called ARMY. They all write, compose, and/or produce their own music. Alongside their in-house producers. Their English songs though aren’t written by them (except the rap in Butter), but they were made to help uplift people during covid. They write about a lot of important topics (which isn’t the most common is kpop or became a trend, so others started doing it, at least more often) which are mental health, bullying, regret, follow your dreams, social problems, self-love, etc. (Their lyrics are one of the main reasons why they are popular) They came from a small company that almost went bankrupt, slept in one room at one point with one another (with other trainees going in and out...I think around 11 trainees), etc. They have received tons of hate since the beginning and honestly only had the people in the company, each other, their families, and ARMY. BTS are close like family. They not only teach through their music but through who they are and through their actions (on and off camera). They have been taught and learned with each other how to communicate and learn how to fight and solve fights. They have mentioned that when they get a melody they try and pick who fits the part best for the feeling of the song. They said that some members will get more lines in some song than others, but we try and focus more on the song itself. We do try and be fair, but they know it is hard with seven members, but at the same time be true to the song. They also do a lot of different genres or mix of genres from hip pop to pop to Latin pop to RnB to Ballards to a little rock to EDM, etc. What genre of music do you like, and I can suggestion song you might like? They are some of the most funny, hardworking, humble, talented, sweet, kind, etc young men. If interested in getting to know them, I recommend these videos: -Guide to Bangtan 7 by Taylor Nakamoto (get to know a little of each person's background, a little of their personality, and their relationship with one another) -BTS vs Kpop: a video essay by bby gang -Nobodies to Legends 2019 (a little out of date but still good) Live Performance (turn on cc): -BTS Room Live (medley of songs from different albums) -Proof Live (three songs and they speak a little in the middle) -ARMYPEDIA (they perform three older songs) -Butter scammy performance on BangtanTV channel -Mic Drop + Run BTS + Run at Busan Concert -BTS Medley live (kzread.info/dash/bejne/kX6dp7eGfqyrfLw.html) -RunBTS live at Busan Concert Song Recommendation but songs released from 2022 up now: -Stay Alive by Jungkook (produced by Suga of BTS) -That That by PSY (ft. and produced by Suga of BTS) -Samsung ringtone remake by Suga in 2022 (but he also did it in 2021 also) -Rush Hour by Crush ft. Jhope -Sexy Nukim by Balming Tiger ft. RM -Vibe by Taeyang ft. Jimin -With You OST by Jimin and Ha Sung Woon -Jack In the Box solo album by Jhope (ten songs. Title Tracks: More and Arson) -Indigo solo album by RM (ten songs. Title Tracks: Sill Life and Wildflower) -For Youth -Yet To Come -Run BTS song (don't confuse it with their song called 'Run' or their variety show called 'Run BTS') -Dreamers by Jungkook ft. Fahad (world cup song) -Left and Right by Charlie Puth ft. Jungkook -Bad Decisions by Benny Blanco, BTS (vocal line), and Snoop Dog -Our Island OST soundtrack for BTS game (produced by Suga)

Hello. I’m sure by now you’ve been welcomed warmly and thanked profusely for your awesome reaction. I’d like to add my own welcome and thanks. This is a great performance that showcased some of their sounds. I’m sure there’s already a list prepared for you. MIC DROP is usually the next song recommended if you started off with Dynamite. Just so you are immediately caught up to the other sound they are known for. I think I’m going to stick around and watch your journey into the rabbit hole. :) Excited to see more from you.

You're correct! They are fantastic! Subscribing to watch your journey. Their musical talents drew me in & made me a fan, but their personalities, integrity, work ethic, & story made me an A.R.M.Y. I am 53 years old, have been listening to & learning about them for about 2 years, & I am so thankful. The positive impact they've had on my life is beyond what I would have ever imagined possible. They heal hearts. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Awesome reaction! Love seeing new reactors being open minded and blown away. BTS are amazing in switching from Korean to English and still the lyrics hit hard! You should check out their rap line🎤 Pure lyricism. Their vocal line 💎 Their live performances are 🔥 Their choreography ~ lit! They also have dance practices. They cover hella lot of genres. They debuted in 2013 and own a discography of over 300 songs. Check out the Festa Live 2021 which is pretty much a ‘vibe’ showcasing snippets of just a few songs, so you can have a fair idea of just how talented they are. You can also check out MV : Black Swan, Fire, Mic Drop, ON Kinectic Manifesto Come Prima and DNA (just to name a few) Look forward 😮to your BTS journey. I’m here for it 👏 👏

Thank you, really enjoyed your reaction. What makes BTS even more impressive is knowing that each of the seven members help write and produce their own music ( especially RM, Suga and J-Hope). Also, their lyrics are incredible. It helps, I think, to watch explanation videos for their songs because a lot can get lost due to cultural nuances that we non-Koreans wouldn’t necessarily understand. I find DKDKTV and Bookish Theories channels on KZread do a great job helping with explanations. Can’t wait to follow your journey!

Spring Day was written in honor of the Sewol Ferry Disaster where school children drowned when the ferry sank because the President wouldn't allow rescue efforts and allowed the crew to leave and not evacuate the children. It is a VERY special song to ARMY. It has never left the Melon Chart (one of the biggest Korean charts). It was very delicately written because the situation was very taboo to speak out about. I'd recommend watching the documentary, but prepare to cry. BUT, it is also a hopeful song that expresses at the end of every winter there is a Spring Day. The cherry blossoms will bloom. So during the pandemic it had great meaning and I suspect that's why they included it. 💜💜💜

Also having 7 members totally makes sense if you're performing songs with choreo as they do with like 80% of their songs in a concert. 😊 Wouldn't it be kind of weirdly empty with just 4 people dancing away on the stage? 😅
