@@lisa.hennessey19 Lisa, the comments are unbelievable and I actually feel some sympathy for her because this has had to startle her. If you scroll down a little you will see my original comment. It was in the same theme as all the rest but I tried to be "nice" to her and suggest she needed to do more homework before coming to such unworthy conclusions about Angelina. But, what is even more so striking about this whole thing is where is Lauren's comeback to all our comments? Apology? Explanation? Admit we are right? She is wrong? Etc., etc., etc., Nothing. 35+ thousand subscribers? Something is very wrong here and it doesn't add up. Anyway, she won't have to worry about us. We won't be back anytime soon.

Welcome to Angelina's world. Actually, the filter is not that extensive on her voice. She sounds like this naturally in many of her songs. Buckle up if you are going to take this ride down the rabbit hole of over 120 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 14 which is her current age. She has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance. Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement. Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 14, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cirus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. Here is a good sampling of my favorites of hers that cover a variety of genres and ranges. I have included some of her live rehearsal sessions which actually blow away other performers produced releases This is just a short list and other fans of Angelina will have the same length list with different songs. I have rarely heard one of her performances that I have thought was not up to par. There are three of her original songs in this list that you will love as well. @@itschmitt the term "filter" is used in audio editing, photo editing and video editing to refer to the process where you apply some kind of transformation(s) to the "untouched" audio/image/video to modify it in some predictable way. Reverb makes audio sound more "echoey". A Gaussian blur filter gives a still or video an even blur. In this world, the term "filter" has never referred to simply "filtering" things out". :)

Lauren, I'm very happy that you finally heard Angelina's new song, thanks for the wonderful reaction, This is her first original single released for Republic Records, which she signed with in August ❤️ This is a very sweet and very intense song dedicated with love to the grandfather and to the people who have lost someone, but it is also full of hope, with beautiful lyrics, especially for a 14 year old girl, and her voice ... so incredibly from "Angelina". Her and Grandma Mery, it's a beautiful story of an inspired family.❤️ ❤️ You can hear this song hundreds of times, I'm on the right track to do it and I'm touched every time ... and I love Grandma's drawings, they are so "correct" for Angelina's voice and story. Angelina's slow progress up the steps towards the moon is an infinite sweetness, it's a beautiful portrait of her 🤗 The lyrics are hers, they are so "made in Angelina", they contain her sensitivity, her family, her affections and her love and make your soul cry thinking about someone you have lost. Angelina is not only what you saw in this beautiful performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals written between 11 and 12 years old, if they seem enough You can react at her first 4 public performances of Norway's Got Talent in 2014 (so about two years before this of this video), those performances made during a few months are the her first public appearances, but you can already see what her was capable of and how her skills had improved in that limited period of time. This song is dedicated to Angelina's second grandpa who passed away last year, and all who have lost loved ones. On her Patreon page on Nov 16, 2020, Angelina wrote, “I created this song for everyone that has lost someone special, for me, this was to my grandpa that passed away last year in November.” Her other grandpa passed away in March 2018, and she dedicated “Always On My Mind” to him then. In the American Songwriter interview Angelina revealed how she felt while recording this song. “When I was in the booth, while I was singing, my tears were running,” she says. “To be honest, it was like a feeling of relief that all my feelings were written down and I felt relieved.” That speaks volumes about Angelina’s ability to transfer her emotions to her audience, who in turn will feel the same. What a beautiful gift to anyone who has grieved for the loss of a loved one. Most of us have not had to endure the loss of so many relatives, associates and friends that Angelina has at such a young age. Angelina is truly a gift to us all. Thanks for your reaction. (Link to interview: americansongwriter.com/million-miles-Angelina-Jordan-song-interview/) This song was recorded before she signed with Republic according to Angelina. One of the producers played the song for Republic founder and CEO Monte Lipman, and that’s when he said he wanted to sign Angelina. Stargate, the producer duo (Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen) has produced or written for Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Wiz Khalifa, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Rita Ora, Normani, Mis-Teeq, Celine Dion, Blue, Janet Jackson, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Pink, Sia, Whitney Houston, Nas, Chris Brown, Khalid, Charli XCX, Trey Songz and others. They have been nominated for 17 Grammy’s and won 4. Quite a famous list of artists and recognition, which now includes the future legend Angelina Jordan. BTW, Angelina sounds just like this in many live performances. No filter.

Lauren I subscribed and was one of the ones requesting you react to my favorite musical artist. Thank you so much for your reaction. Angelina became a star at age 7 after her audition for Norway's Got Talent which she won at age 8. Now at 14 this was her first single which she wrote, after signing with Republic Records. The most incredible thing about Angelina is how her voice connects with the listener and evokes tremendous emotion. As talented as she is, Angelina is an even better person. She always performs barefoot and here is the story why. First, I want to suggest you react to her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

Welcome to Angelina. I don’t say this lightly or with any exaggeration. She is the best singer I have ever heard, and I’ve been an active music fan since the 1950’s. Her voice is unique-breathy, slight rasp, incredibly flexible and with just a beautiful tone. She interprets lyrics better than anyone I’ve ever heard. She doesn’t really perform-she personalizes every song and lives the lyrics. Telling you is almost useless. You just need to listen. As others have suggested, try Bohemian Rhapsody for Angelina earlier this year. Or watch her, with just an acoustic guitar, cover Adele’s A Million Years Ago. It’s from a few years ago, and it’s stunningly personal and beautiful.

Great first reaction to Angelina! The other comments here will give you excellent information about her. I know your primary purpose is to give your professional observations (which is the way it should be and you do it very well) but, let me just say, the more reactions you do to her, the more you will see your subscriptions, likes and views go through the roof! Angelina’s fans are very, VERY loyal!! FYI - the song is in f-minor and it does resolve to the tonic at the end with the vocal and instrumental in unison on "F", just not with a chord.

Angelina could give you singing lessons, no dis respect to what ever level you are at as a voice teacher but Angelina is just that good, she was singing part of a Whitney Huston Song at a mere 18 months old. Continue watching her many covers and you will see how wrong you are thinking she needs or uses filters she is what she is , just at another level from other singers and self proclaimed experts. She was born a professional singer , she can sing any genre to perfection ,but she is the "New Barefoot Queen" in Jazz that is where her soul seems to abide , Great reaction with a few exceptions for the filter comments. She is a rare special God sent gift to the world!!! , Angelina is at level of vocal artistry seldom if ever seen for a young singer , besides her other talents , She is Norway's youngest published author at around 9 to 10 years old, she plays , piano, violin, flute, and guitar . Angelina does her musical arrangements and has been often observed directing professional musicians playing for her as to what she wants in a song. she is always in command when she performs in a very humble respectful manner to band members. Angelina is like no other I heave ever witnessed in her many abilities for one so young .she touches one right down to their heart and soul when she sings. :To bring you up to date on her background: (Angelina a short history ); Angelina has been singing since she was 1.5 years old (18 months started singing a Whitney Huston song , video on you tube of this here is the linkkzread.info/dash/bejne/iH6eqZhxdMnYXZs.html at 1:55 on this video is her at 1.5 years old ) later she was taken by jazz and started singing jazz classics as her grandmother introduced her to jazz tunes. Her singing is her life and her passion . her mother tried to get her to sing nursery songs and she just flat out refused to involve her self in that nonsense. She is her own driving force no one dictates to her what she does in her singing or preparations, it is all her 110%. the following are her own songs . Won Norway's got talent at 7 to 8 years old has over 125 videos on line plus three of her own compositions (not including the one she just released from Republic Records) and two that were written for her to sing , the first 3 she wrote and arranged herself, the last two were written for her to sing 1, Shield ,, kzread.info/dash/bejne/noWot8SPe8WWptY.html 2. Oslo,, kzread.info/dash/bejne/aISnuNdtmbHTiJM.html ( A song dedicated to her home town Oslo , Norway) 3. What Is Life,, .kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKpk1Jlwe7GdgqQ.html 4. Above the water,, kzread.info/dash/bejne/hXdnqJKbe67RY7g.html 5. Song for A ("A" standing for Angelina) ,, kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKNnz8qxgLCTpaQ.html Angelina had over 500 million views of her singing videos before her performance on AGT The Champions now her views are in the billions . Angelina was well known all over the world except in America up until her AGT Champions , mini concert. She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan he met girl around her own age around 6 years old whom had no shoes and had scars on her feet, she weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings. Angelina at six years old took her shoes off and gave them to this poor girl, and Angelina has performed on stage in honor of the pledge she made to her not to sing on stage with shoes on form then on . Angelina has honored that pledge for last 8 years . Angelina takes on a different voice for each song she covers to give homage to the song, and never tries to show off her vocal abilities but always gives each song its due respect. Angelina has a 5 octave range and her low note ability is just mind blowing for a pre-teen or now at just a mere 14 years as of Jan. 10 ,2020. Angelina can sing any genre and excel at it many times better than the original artist.

Try one of her live performances like SHIELD and you will hear her voice. All 3 of her AGT performances were live. So go ahead and listen to Bohemian Rhapsody, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, or Someone You Loved. If you listen to a lot of her you will find she can sing in a lot of different styles, etcetera and she has more voice control than most. Most of her videos are live, so pick one. Many are done in her home. They are all pretty great. WHEN WE WERE YOUNG is another one done in front of a live (outdoor) audience. BEWARE OF THE ANGELINA RABBIT HOLE!!!! Listen to much of her and you will fall straight into it like a lot of already have. I

@@kenj1621 yes, Ken, of course I did. Multiple times. It IS intense as far as reverb goes. I assume that’s what Lauren was referring to, though its certain other more subtle filters would also have been applied. It is routine. That’s what people like Stargate get paid the big bucks for - to make excellent recordings sounds spectacular. Most of the standard filters applied to an audio recording (compression, de-ess, EQ etc) are not meant to be noticed. So compared to standard reverb and other standard filters, the reverb absolutely WAS intense because it’s very noticeable. That said, compared to extreme auto tune or some other overdone effect, no, it’s not intense. For the record, despite being more intense than normal, I think the reverb is extremely effective in this song given the mood and narrative. Lauren may feel the same way after hearing the whole song, or may not. But it’s an artistic choice, it’s not an attempt to enhance Angela’s voice artificially. When you say “she needs a filter about as much as Mariah Carey does” the obvious implication of that for me is that you are responding to something that you think the reactor said. And for the record, Mariah Carey DOES need filters just like any other singer, in order to balance the sound, even out the audio levels, modulate sounds that would otherwise sound distorted or too prominent etc.... in other words, to make her audio recordings sound good. That same thing that happened here happened to Katrinka. And Happy Weirdos. And then there is the abuse Sam revealed to us. All within the past few days. Leo was accused initially of being a liar. Maunalee gives honest reactions and gets abuse all the time. Angelina is under no obligation to be “perfect”. I believe her humanity and willingness to expose her vulnerability are a big part of what make her a spectacular singer. Note: I’m not saying we can’t be critical of a reactor. I’m saying maybe let’s not let that be our default reflexive response and let’s make sure we understand the subject we are basing our criticism on.

I think the postproduction on this song is minor. Angelina's level of professionalism and exceptional qualities ensure that the sound heard is that desired and produced directly by her. Wow, great reaction and welcome to the world of Angelina! It’s great having another actual vocal coach doing reactions to Angelina. I have an off-the board suggested next reaction video: Cry Me a River. It’s a live performance with a jazz band on a small outdoor stage, part of a festival. To me it’s one of the more pure examples of her vocals stripped down with a beautiful vibrato and vocals that kind of float on the breeze effortlessly, but very little in the way of runs, ornaments, belted notes etc. It’s definitely among my top 3ish songs by Angelina. She is sort of channeling Julie London in this one as opposed to the Amy Winehouse quality to her voice that is present (to me, at least) in parts of Million Miles. Billie holiday is Angelina’s biggest musical influence and I think Amy Winehouse is up there too. Other excellent options for where to go next would be her Golden Buzzer winning AGT Champions performance of Bohemian Rhapsody that earned a congratulatory tweet from the surviving members of Queen, or her nine years old version of I Put a Spell on You or a stunning home recording of Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful. The latter two are not live, though. Or It’s a Man’s World, if you want to see the power in her vocals. (This version has no video, but is live, is performed with an insanely good jazz band, and is by far the best audio recording: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n5mJsMGmhNPSYaw.html ). There is an easy to find version of that song live outdoors with a military orchestra (they also do a very good job with the song). The only issue is the quality of the audio. And I really like that jazz band! I chose these performances because they are for the most part relatively recent (ie. she’s over 10 years old, lol). I have a list of 20 songs, each with links and short descriptions explaining why I think each one is significant. If you’re interested just reply and let me know and I will share it. :)

OMG Lauren, you have so much catching up to do. FYI, You are the expert BUT I think you are going to discover that the way she sounds in this song is the way she sounds a lot of the time including LIVE. Angelina has been studying music and singing since she was 18 months old. She does her own musical arrangements and has done well over 100 songs. At 6 she was with her grandmother when she saw a young girl trying to earn money in the streets who complimented Angelina's favorite pair of shoes and the other girl had no shoes of her own. Angelina took her shoes off and gave them to the girl & vowed (AT 6 YEARS OLD) to always perform barefoot until every child in the world has shoes. She won Norway's Got Talent at 7. She recorded I Who Have Nothing when she was 6 and asked if she did good and was told she did real good for it being her first time. At 9 She recorded I Put A Spell On You (please react to the black & white version of that song) It even shows her using a pen to show the music director the musical changes & it shows him look at them & smile. By the way, she also makes her own clothes. When she was on America's Got Talent Champions just before she turned 14 this year the outfit she wore for her first song Bohemian Rhapsody was her grandmother's (WHO IS MARY ZAMANI THAT YOU MENTIONED DID THE ART FOR THIS SONG) art work transferred to fabric that Angelina used to make it. This song is about her grandfather that died in 2018 and she also dedicated her singing Always On My Mind to him shortly after he died and she had to cut that song short because she finally broke down crying and couldn't finish. This is the first song after signing with the record company & I am fairly certain it is her 4th original song. Remember to always have tissues ready when you react to Angelina just like with Dimash. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓 And I hope you have a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🦃😋😊😃

She won Norwegian talents at the age of 8, and is predicted to become the next superstar! She is also known for being able to adjust the voice to which genre she sings. She has approx. 130 covers on KZread + 5 originals. Angelina Jordan - Date of birth: January 10, 2006 (age 14 years), Born and raised in Oslo, Norway; this world-renowned singer has earned fantastic reviews for the amazing breadth, depth and maturity of her vocal talent that simply belies her young age. Something you might have noticed is that Angelina always performs barefoot! When Angelina was 6 years old, she met a homeless girl around her age when she was traveling in the Middle East. The girl did not have any shoes, and Angelina says her feet were scarred. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes. Angelina then “vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world’s children had them.” She keeps that promise to this day, as she says that little girl “is always in my heart.” - Angelina said she asked the little girl what her dream was, and the girl responded that she wanted to be a doctor. Angelina told her to “never give up.” In return, the girl told Angelina she would pray for her, and asked her to “remember me.” She might as well sing in a bad cellphone microphone, without a microphone, or to collaborate with professional musicians. She does not need any autotune or digital aids to sing. It is real song in an otherwise polished world. She just sings because it's her passion. Angelina’s videos have received over "over 600 Million views on youtube & over 2 Billion views on Facebook." Amazingly, her passion for music began at just one-and- a-half years of age. At the age of seven, Angelina auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent performing Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She won the competition with the show drawing record TV audiences. Not surprisingly, throughout her rising career, Angelina has featured in prominent media outlets including TIME, CNN, BBC, and People while also performing on the U.S. network TV shows Little Big Shots and The View. In 2016, Avicii chose Angelina for the some vocals on his worldwide Volvo commercial campaign, a brilliant cover of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. As well as singing before Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, charitable causes to which Angelina has given her talent include the Rainforest Alliance at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and Ein Herz für Kinder in Berlin where she helped raise over 21 Million Euros for children and families in need. Everyone in the music industry knows who she is, but the family and herself want her to grow up as normal as possible. Among other things, they said no to Disney! This multi-talented singing prodigy has also written a successful children’s book in her native Norway making Angelina the youngest published author in the country’s history. Today she is 14 years old and has over 126 covers and 3 originals on KZread. She has already managed to collaborate with the biggest in the music industry, and is considered to be a future megarstar. The family and herself want to take it easy in the musical development because of her young age. NOTE! Angelina is independent and owns the rights herself. Angelina Jordan INC.Angelina wants total ownership over her creativity, without compromise. She / family said no to Disney, among other things. She attends some major foundrising concerts. Rumor has it that she is coming up with her own album this year. Why didn't Angelina win AGT champions? It's because she refused to sign with "Fremantle" when it came to ownership of the version of the performance of the songs. They told her she wasn't gonna win if she didn't. Well. She didn't win. musicnorway.no/news/industry-talk-michael-astar/ Another interesting point in the interview is that Angelina Jordan's appearance in "America's Got Talent" hung in the balance for a long time because the program is bound by long-term contracts which in the worst case can force a participant into a special management and record company. For manager Michael Astar, this was completely out of the question.- Then it took a while and they contacted me again to ask if she would sing on their show. Then I persuaded them to give me a contract where Angelina was completely released from any agreement if she performs, he says to Music Norway. Angelina Jordan has now signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Astar says the commitment has been important when choosing a team. You can read about it here: musicnorway.no/news/industry-talk-michael-astar/ The entire acclaimed music industry knows who she is, and she was invited to sing for Quincy Jones during his 85th birthday at O2 Arena London kzread.info/dash/bejne/gYGf2dGqhbG0m6g.html - (Google translate)

I'm so glad you finally checked out Angelina! I left my first request for her on your channel over a year ago, so I have been waiting for this! I do wish you would check out something live from her, as you will see that there are no filters necessary for Angelina. There are many examples of her singing into a phone cam and still sounding studio perfect. I know you will be getting lots of requests, but I highly recommend "I put a spell on you" (at 9 years old), "Million Years Ago" (at 12)... there's really too many incredible ones to even select a few, but if you go to her "cover channel" and pick literally anything, you are going to be impressed... guaranteed ;) And as always for anyone new to Angelina, here is a little bio so that you can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul....... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 14 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Over the years since NGT, they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 130 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written four of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo", and "Million Miles" (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a beautiful world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music. Update: On Aug 26, 2020 Angelina's Manager/Uncle announced in an interview that they have decided on Republic Records as the best fit for Angelina and she is now signed with them as their "highest priority new artist". On Nov 6 she has released her first single under Republic... "Million Miles"! She has done so much already, but at 14 she is just getting started!!!

@@xpost9381 Well... to be fair.... I didn't say that there were no "filters" on this, I said she doesn't need filters. ...but "filters" can mean a lot of things in the audio world. I think some took the word filter to mean "autotuning" or something like that, but if we are using the term more broadly to include effects like reverb, then yes, of course a studio produced track is going to have some stuff done in post.... that's why it sounds like a studio recording and not a home recording. But the main point to all of this..... Angelina not only doesn't need any work done on it, but anything other than the pure natural sound that comes from her is actually going to reduce the quality. This is why we enjoy her intimate home recordings so much. It's a more pure Angelina, and you can hear all the little subtle details that sometimes come out in the wash at the studio.

@@RustyShacklefordChannel Haha...yes, true you said that. A diplomat said: ...what I say can mean everything and nothing. I am not so familiar with the English terminology on these audio-stuff ....neither in my own language for that matter (I'm more into electronics and physics and such)... but I would call the added an echo effect (not a filter) which has nothing with altering/aiding her voice to do ... like I understood it from the video " an intense filter over her voice". I am probably one of the few here that has been at concerts with Angelina multible times.... and I would definitely say that it is her real voice without any changes/filters. Whatever... it is entertaining to see these reactors get confused since the yard stick/measurement they have does not fit for Angelina. She is simply off the scale..... It's like that for us in science also. It has happened that measurements or observations has wrongly been rejected as unlikely and not understood. Later it has shown that they after all were correct but did not fit in with the way we "knew" the world. So we blamed the nature as flawed instead of our own knowledge which is the broken or flawed....

I have followed Angelina for 7 years now. She has the most loyal fan base in the world. And sometimes they can be a little over protective of her. I who have work for some big names like Lynard Skynard Charlie Daniel's Fabulous Thunder Bird's.,Grand Funk Rail Road just to name a few. So I know a little about sound studio's and I'm sure you do to. Studio's can do some amazing things with voices they can add take away tweek this tweek that. And I'm sure there are some tweaking here. But not on her voice they may add some reverb or delay like at the end. The way they can overlap a number of things and I'm sure they did some here. But please react to more and see what everyone is saying There videos of her with just a mic that will put seasond singers to shame .for but there is list of songs you can go by in your comments but my opinion I think your next song should be Lana Del Rae Born to Die at age 12 Great Reaction Stay Safe kzread.info/dash/bejne/doKJj6qcfNi1j6w.html

She is not mistaken. Please listen to what she said again. She wasn’t saying that Angelina’s voice was being enhanced by a filter. She was saying the exact opposite - that aspects of her voice could be masked by it. And there absolutely is a filter in there. Neither her vocals nor the instrumentals sounded that echoey when they were recorded. It was added in post production.

You are just at the beginning of a great journey: please go back to the time, when Angelina was seven (7!!) years old, when she won Norway Got Talent. There are tons of mindblowing songs. And you will see, that there are no filters. Angelina can sing ANY songs. And she can make her own "print" of voice-colour (what for some people may sound as a "filter"). Her voice is unique - also the ability to "form" the colour of each tone. And she gives all her soul so that you are touched at once. When she sings nothing else matters: it´s only she and me and the story she is telling to me. And Angelina is just starting ... ;-)

Thanks for your reaction to Angelina! It might best to say this is one of her many voices. Yes, it is filtered somewhat but she has many vocal flavors she can and does inhabit. Whether singing a cappella, with a single acoustic instrument, or with a 80 piece military band she is equally at home. Fortunately for you the AJ journey is long but very fulfilling. Please react to more of her vast portfolio of work (120+ covers plus a handful of originals already at just 14yo!) and witness her unique capabilities and style. It is the rare singer that can, as AJ has done, go from Queen to Sinatra to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Miley Cyrus (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. Please listen to her AGT-The Champions unique rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" or her Norway's Got Talent performances at age 7-8 (Gloomy Sunday, I'm a Fool to Want You, Bang Bang, and Summertime) or the many masterpieces in between. You will be astounded over and over. God has blessed us with a miracle in her, come join in and let us enjoy her together!

The video was illustrated by her grandmother world renowned poet and artist Mery Zamani aka Mosarz who instilled in Angelina her love of Jazz and her humanitarianism ( Mery has been doing art exhibits all over the world with the proceeds going to different charities for many years) . Although English is not her first language she’s also speaks Farsi and I suspect Japanese (her mother and uncle both grew up and went to school in Japan and Mery married a Japanese man while obtaining a psychology degree in Japan) . Angelina plays piano, flute, violin and guitar. Currently has amassed over 1 billion views on KZread and 2 1/2 billion views on Facebook. You have a new subscriber but BEWARE! This is a long comment. I hope you have the patience to read to the end. Thank you for discovering and reacting my favourite singer. My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on KZread and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. If you go to kzread.info/dron/hM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig.html you will find many rehearsals where, not only do you get to see her rehearsing but being the "ordinary" girl she is (if indeed one is able to apply that adjective to her). Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio, either with background music or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world. Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to ensure that, when she sings the song, it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions So, here a few recordings for you to consider. age 6 - First visit to a Recording Studio:I who have nothing: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJ6FvK17oLnHldY.html age 7 - Norway's Got Talent - First Audition: Gloomy Sunday: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aqVrr9OddtLPkqw.html age 7 - Norway’s Got Talent - Judges' Cut-Off:I’m a fool to want you kzread.info/dash/bejne/foyf0K6TdNK4hrQ.html age 8 - Norway's Got Talent - Semi Final: Bang Bang: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYd5sZWCfbnac6w.html age 8 - Norway's Got Talent - Final: Summertime: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zmhn0qSMoNubcpc.html age 8 - Concert in Sweden - "I'll be there":kzread.info/dash/bejne/iH592diQlNK1Y9I.html age 8 - Charity Concert: At last: kzread.info/dash/bejne/amVtxLNyeZC6Xco.html age 11 - It’s Now or Never - kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqCdk8ium5vggbQ.html age 10 - Norwegian TV Production: Every time we say goodbye: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fYaHq5qBnbeueqQ.html One thing which several of the new reactors - and those who have returned to her have decided, is to follow her career from the start. Rosie, listen carefully to what she said. Virtually any song that undergoes a post production is going to have filters of some kind applied. This one has what seems to be a some kind of reverb filter and it’s pretty intense. It’s not just applied to her voice, it’s (seemingly) applied to the whole track. It gives the feeling of emptiness and space that supports the narrative in the song. I think it’s there for a reason, and I personally like it. But the reactor’s point is correct that the filter may change or mask certain features of Angelina’s voice.

Hi Lauren, great reaction! Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Everything was spot on, including the 'filters' comment. I had the same initial reaction to this song as you did and by the time the word 'do' came along at the end of that verse, I was shaking my head in disbelief that someone would do that to her voice; but I suppose it's the new thing to do in the studio. Kinda like Cher with the auto-tune cranked to 11. Another song she recorded is Above The Water which uses an abundance of parallel compression on her vocal as an effect. This wasn't the first time for that kind of vocal treatment. For a real treat, check out this performance of 'What a Difference a Day Makes" and see for yourself the level of skill this girl had at 8 years old. kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIeayaWCd8edm5c.html Hope to see more Angelina reviews soon! Great analysis! This is an absolutely beautiful, deeply felt and well written song, but not ideal to start off with, since it is studio recorded and you don’t get to see her sing. That said, apart from reverb and perhaps slight compression, I don’t hear much «filtering» going on here - except what is done naturally by Angelina, whose queenships apparently include versatility, soul, the jazz domain and barefootedness! Also, from videos made during studio recordings, it appears that her performances are often captured live in studio, so well rehearsed that they can be done in one take. That’s pretty extraordinary nowadays! As live performances go, «Bohemian Rhapsody» from AGT is an absolute must to see where she is at most recently. But after that, please go back to this prodigy’s mindblowing performances of the jazz standards when she was between seven and ten years old. She truly beggars belief...
