Definitely Stranger, it's also in English so you won't have to worry about the lyrics. He's a huge MJ fan so you'll find quite a bit of MJ's influence in his pop songs and Quincy Jones and Bruno Mars. His music videos are short movies in themselves and I think you'd get a kick out of his Be With Me music video.

It's not crazy when Dimash is the best singer in the world and this century right now. No male or female can match his voice. Not even Mariah Carey can match his voice. Not even close. And he's singing in French in this song SOS. Actually he sings in 16 or 17 languages after his last concert in Malaysia. Been to different singing schools and academy singing schools for 24 years. His mother is a opera singer. Dimash is living in LA now to work on his PhD in music and composition. A professor in singing 🎶 Dimash is independent like Ren, if you have reacted to him. But Dimashes father is also a singer and a producer.

Dimash is an independent artist. This is a big reason, imho, why he is virtually unknown in the USA. I discovered him this March myself (by chance). I was very upset he had a concert in the NYC in 2019, but I missed it because I didn’t know about him then, and I live nearby. 😢 You will love his “Stranger” and “Across Endless Dimensions”, both in English and written for him.

Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. There is a young girl from Kazakhstan where Dimash is from that her blind audition for The voice Kids Ukraine 2017 has over 84 million views. She sings 'Stone Cold' by Demi Lovato. Here's the link below. The whole audition is 10:30 long mainly because they ask her to sing a second song as an encore. As far as I know this is the first tie any of these shows has asked for a second totally different song. She sings a Ukraininan song to them in Ukrainian. Did i mention she was just 10 years old? You can't put Dimash in a genre, he sings across all of them, usually mixing 2 or 3 within one song and has sung in more than 12 languages. He's one of the most highly educated artists on the planet, with a bachelors degree in vocals, a masters degree in composition and is soon to complete his PhD. As for why you haven't heard of him in the US? In general, how many artists from Asia are famous in the US? Especially one from Kazakhstan like Dimash? Although he's currently living in Los Angeles and working with Walter Afanasieff who has written hits for both Celine Dion and Mariah Carey so hopefully he will break into the west shortly.

@@counterreaction omg, he has loads! If you're looking for something he's written himself, I'd start with War and Peace 2021. It's in Mandarin but the 2021 digital show performance has English subtitles. He's got a lot of music that is written solely for him though. In the past few years he's been crazy busy with concerts and appearances in various shows but this year he settled in LA for a while and focused on writing music. I'd highly recommend Omir which is the first song he wrote both music and lyrics for, it's in his native Kazakh but subtitles are available. There are others but I don't want to overload you for now.

You are not far off. This is from a French Canadian rock opera called Starmania done in the 70's or 80's. This song is done by one of the major characters who is going through a major depression. Welcome to Dimash who many consider the best Male vocalist of these times. In almost all of his songs, he truly knows how to transmit emotion, and that captures and mesmerizes the audience.

Dimash is truly a monster no cap!!!.i really admired him. i think no one come close to his vocal range.the only person i think can catch up a little is Jed Madela, but dimash is alien!!!

6 ft. 3 in. of galaxy class vocalist/musician/writer/composer/actor/model, from Kazakhstan, born May 1994. He was very sad in the particular performance [done on the Digital Shows during pandemic], because he'd sung this song for a performance of Olympic ice skater friend of his, who had been murdered. Golden eagle is the national bird of Kazakhstan, so many bird symbols/golden wings, etc. show up in his videos.

I’ve wTched Dimash every day since discovering him on KZread on a Chinese show called I Am Singer, singing S O S age 22. I’ve travelled overseas to hear him in his three and a half hour concerts. I am 78 and from the U.K. incidentally, on the Chinese show, it got 600 million hits on the Chinese you tube called Wellbo, I believe. So we don’t know how many hits worldwide he gets. I would recommend Stranger from New Wave 2021 which is. very theatrical like a Game of Throne vibe and is in English.

So, welcome to your new possible addiction. 😮 The weird part is that Dimash never stops surprising and teaching us on how to be a great human thru his music. He's extremely conscientious and full of love. We are all Dears welcoming you to the club that recognizes who the GOAT really is in the world of singing. Dears have to have Dimash's songs replayed over and over because of their affects on us. Stranger and Olympico and Sinful Passion would be great second choices. His total greatness is just overwhelming. Dimash makes just perfect decisions in life as well as his performances. Dimash even sings Ave Maria without anything but a vowel and no words. Yes, Dimash was just learning English in 2017, but he still killed that song and I barely even notice the mispronounced parts because his voice and his energy is so enthralling. It's in French " SOS d'un terrien en détresse". Dimash Is increíble, 'my favorite singer!

SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. This particular version comes from the Dimash Digital Show put on during the pandemic after all in-person concerts were cancelled and he had to cut his Arnau Tour short. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

Dimash sings in all genres from Opera to Rap and with everything he is the best performer as well as the best singer in the world. Category: DIMASH.....no one like him. This was a 3 hour digital live show during Covid, hence the sweat. Dimash gives his all, and he will surprise you at every performance (all genres).

Dimash loves to sing with fire in the background--you'll see it in several of his performances. When I first saw Dimash and SOS, i felt sort of ridiculous for playing it five times..who does that? He was in a singing competition in China and he blew everybody’s minds away. Overnight he had 60 million views to his performance And overnight, he needed security guards because he was mobbed at his hotel the next morning. That SOS is to me the purest version that he has rendered of this song. Every note is perfectly placed, and even the last note was like a flowering or something more to come. I think you’ll like all of it. Enjoy your ride. And by the way, you are correct, you can’t really put Dimash in any kind of category because he supersedes pop singers - for sure he is two planets ahead of them, and he really can compete with the best opera singers of them all.He certainly has a wider vocal range than any of them. 🎉❤

Dimash's ability to perform in different styles and vocal ranges is unique in the world. For something in a different setting and a totally different vocal range I would suggest Ti Amo Cosi in which he sings with an opera singer and a pop singer, both top in their genres, Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian. He is excellent and the production and setting is crazy. Listening to him sing so well in his lower register in that video would never give you a clue to his upper registers ability. 9.4 million views

With regard to "never give you a clue to his upper registers," that is, unless you realize it is Dimash not Aida who hits the D6 at the end of the song. Even one reviewer who is an opera singer thought it was Aida and also mistook the note for a D5.

Thank you for such a wonderful reaction video. I think you would like any performance Dimash does, but his masterpiece is "Story of One Sky". It not only shows his musical talent, but also his acting skills. It also holds a very important message for humanity. As an Ambassador for peace, Dimash's music video version should be watched first and then his stage presentation of the song in order to get full appreciation for this incredible work of art. Dimash won’t sign a contract with the West because he wants to be in control to sing in all genres from Opera to Rock to Pop to Folk to Rap. He is very famous and regularly sells out solo concerts to 40,000 people all over the world. He is very big in China and Russia. SOS 😮is a French song from a 70’s Rock Opera. Dimash is from Kazakhstan (formerly Soviet Union) Dimash IS an amazing composer in his own right and a multi-instrumentalist. He also has the best composers in the world writing songs for him, so he has many original songs. He has 2 degrees in Classical and Contemporary vocals, a Masters in Composition (for which he received a perfect score) and he is currently completing his Doctorate in Musicology. Dimash sings in 13 languages and sings a lot in English. He has recently been working on a project with 16 times grammy award winner David Foster in Los Angeles - we are not sure what it is yet!

@@counterreaction The Story of One Sky is worth waiting a bit for as it's Dimash's magnum opus. He spent 3 years making it and wrote both the music, the MV screenplay and acts the main role, it's not for the faint hearted as it's got a very strong anti war message. Dimash doesn't mess around when he wants people to wake up and smell the coffee.

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. Continuation of the story : Michel Berger (the composer) specially wrote these notes for Daniel Balavoine (the only French pop singer of the time with this vocal ability). Now it's common but in the 1970-1980s it was unheard of in France. Unfortunately Daniel Balavoine was only able to sing this song once live on TV, he died very shortly afterwards in the crash of a Paris-Dakar helicopter, which is why we can only find a single video of him singing SOS from an earthling in distress (the real name of the song).@@counterreaction

Yes it is in French. Dimash has been on stage performing since 3yrs old. Range is 6 - 7 octaves, he composes, writes does covers, this is a cover, he was due to sing it as a duet with his friend Denis, but Denis died b4 that cud happen. So this is an important connection for him. He is also into film making. Most talented , generous, humble young man. Who sees himself as ordinary, but blessed to hve his abilities. For which he is v grateful and has worked very hard for, and still does. Holds a Masters Degree in composition, several degrees in various genres. He sings all genres. Sooo much more to learn of him. Having already established himself in Kazakhstan, (his homeland) Belarus Russia and other surrounding countries, he has earned many many awards, hence the Chinese proffessional singers competition, invited him to take part. He came 2nd because foreigners were not allowed to win. That rule was changed the following year. It was the Chinese that spread the word across the world of his incredible talent. Hence we are privileged to be able to hear him. It would have happened anyway, but sooner rather than later is great from my point of view. Welcome to the world of Dimash. Top male vocalist on the planet.🤘❤️‍🔥🤘 Dimash is independant and very musically obsessed. He is really not spending alot of time chasing the numbers but is working on becoming more popular in the West. I have been a fan since December 2018. He is huge in China and I believe has 9 million subscribers on his social media there, separately. Also Dimash has so many versions of SOS and everyone has their favorites so you would need to add them all up to get an "accurate views" for this song. This is my favorite, due to the Rock vibe.. Many will suggest Stranger and yes, it is phenominal but be cautious of copyright on all the New Wave performances.(Stranger, Fly Away, and Ave Maria) I recommend you go for Omir (Life)/2023 -original in Kazak. All the videos on Dimash's channel have subtitles in about 27 languages. As you love Hip hop, try Screaming/2021 or Idol Hits and Be With Me -the music video is incredible.
