Part of this was also something of a come back back for Olivia: after the cancer diagnosis she, apparently, didn't think she could perform. John invited her to perform in his way of always lifting people up.

This song was a hit for John many years ago, but the duet with Olivia took this to another level. This was just one of the performances from The Main Event concert featuring John, Olivia and Anthony Warlow, a brilliant light opera singer who has performed many musicals such as Phantom. Absolutely brilliant concert. Apparently, John got permission from Jill to do the kiss - it was several concerts, so a bit of kissing!!!! It’s a perfect duet. RIP to dear Olivia.

This song/performance came from the " main event concert" You want more John and Olivia, that will give you a couple of hours worth, this concert also had Anthony Warlow singing init as well. The Chemistry between these two is pure professional skill. They both know extremely well how to convey feelings and emotions into their voices and the music they want to create. It does help that they have known each other for their whole entire careers and are extremely good friends. Both Olivia and Warlow were both fresh into remission for their cancers during this concert that John had set up to get them both back out there and up on the stage and to enjoy themselves once more. All three of them legends in music. This song has always made me think of a much older love between older people who are very happily married, but know they are best freinds with what they both know is their Soul Mate. Both are happily married, but that attraction is always there and both are not interested or too terrified of hurting their loved ones so their secret second love goes heart wrenchingly unrequited with their Soul Mate, all the way to the grave.

Aw you got caught up in the moment too didn't you lol Their chemistry is palpable which is due to this being such a gorgeous love song. They were very close for most of their musical careers and both John and Anthony Warlow (the other Australian singer who was part of this show) were very protective of Olivia as she had been though another bout of chemo, but like the courageous champion she was she shone like a superstar the whole time. Would love to see you react to more from this Main Event concert please. Love from Australia

Please Don’t Ask Me is only John Farnham song that been released twice as a single , firstly in 1980 originally when the song sadly didn’t even made the Australian top 50 but John in 1991 released the live version with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra this recording is so good so crystal clear can’t even tell is a live version this version did much better on Australian charts making the top 20 . Please Don’t Ask Me was written by Little River Band’s founding member Graham Goble 2 years before he asked John to join LRB in 1982 . Please Don’t Ask Me is Graham’s best written song that isn’t a LRB song and he wrote some of most popular hits from LRB , It’s A Long Way There , Reminiscing , Lady , The Night Owls and the John Farnham LRB era The Other Guy , Down On The Border . Olivia’s relationship with John goes back to the late 60’s when both started out the same time in their careers in Melbourne Australia and have remained friends since. John in the late 60’s early 70s should’ve had a similar successful international career as Olivia did like breaking out in the UK before conquering the American charts . But John’s first manager sabotaged John’s chances having career outside Australia record company EMI in the UK just wasn’t interested in John . Unfortunately John & Olivia they never got perform together until this concert tour The Main Event in 1998 they had the opportunity again at 2000 Sydney Olympics opening ceremony sing another ballad Dare To Dream which was televised around the world . In 2015 John & Olivia toured again together on Two Strong Hearts Tour . The following year John & Olivia recorded an Christmas album together . And in February 2020 Olivia flew back home to Australia just to perform with John at the Fire Fight Relief Concert it was the last time both artists performed in public. Olivia’s biggest hits If Not For You I Honestly Love You Hopelessly Devoted To You Magic Xanadu Physical

Obviously the feels are evoked with this amazing song, the're right there. But this song is about the opposite of young love. It's about falling in love with someone who isn't your partner, forbidden love that can't be. They're the best of friends, since they started their careers and the love there is real.

Olivia Newton-John WAS in the movie Grease. She has sold over 100 million records worldwide! Her biggest hit ever was Physical from 1981. Some recommendations for her would be Twist of Fate, A Little More Love, Hopelessly Devoted to You and You're the One that I Want, and Physical. Also know this song you listened to from their concert The Main Event. They did this as a trio with Anthony Warlow. A great song to listen to from that concert is You're the Voice. Also, later in their careers, John and Olivia did another concert called Two Strong Hearts, their duet of that song is great too! Have fun!
