NCT are a group with 27 members, and 6 subunits. All the units have different sounds that come together to represent NCT's signature "Neo" sound. The name NCT stands for Neo Culture Technology and the group is known for their innovative sound and concepts on top of their talent. The units are: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT DoJaeJung (DJJ), and a currently unnamed Japanese unit. You reacted to mostly one unit here: NCT 127. NCT U is ALL 27 members of NCT. Every NCT U song has a different lineup of members that come together in different combinations based on who best fit the song. The two NCT U songs you've heard, "Baggy Jeans" and "The 7th Sense", are the only 2 with a repeating lineup because "Baggy Jeans" was released 7 years after "The 7th Sense" unit debuted NCT to the world in 2016. Every NCT U song you've seen will combine different members from different units. Some songs have 5 members, some have 2, some have 7 or 9. It'll change everytime. The members in these two songs were: Taeyong (127 and leader of all of NCT), Doyoung (127 & DJJ), Ten (WayV), Jaehyun (127 & DJJ), and Mark (127 & Dream). NCT 127 is a 9 member unit known for their experimental and weird sound. They tend to have the most hip hop and electronic influenced sound. They frequently receive criticism for their unconventional sound, but they've embraced it and are very proud and confident when they have a song that's a bit controversial. 127 has grown in numbers over the years and members joined and left NCT. They debuted with 7, grew to 9, then grew to 10 and have dropped back to 9 now. The members in 127 are: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong (leader), Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan. You reacted to the Japanese ver of their song "Limitless" here which is kinda wild because it came out like a year after the og korean version and isn't usually ever the first result to come up when you search it on youtube lol. The japanese song and mv is good, but I much prefer the og song and mv. The performance video of "Limitless" is the one with the most views and its very deserved bc the whole video is awesome. NCT Dream is a 7 member unit known for their brighter more high energy and uplifting sound. They tend to have the most pop influenced sound. The concept of Dream is to connect with and uplift the dreams of the youth. Dream used to be the youngest members of NCT and when they debuted in 2016 alongside 127 all the members were minors. Their sound always reflected their ages and as they matured so has their sound, but they always kept the youthful and fun energy. The members of Dream are: Mark (leader), Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung. WayV is a 6 member Chinese unit known for their darker more theatrical sound. As a Chinese unit, WayV don't have NCT in their name because of weird conflicts between SK and China, but they are unquestioningly a unit of NCT. Their sound often has rock or theatrical, opera like influences. They used to have 7 members so if you check out their earlier songs you'll notice that, but they are 6 now. The members of WayV are: Kun (leader), Ten, Winwin, Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang. NCT DoJaeJung is a 3 member unit known for their r&b sound. This is the most recent unit to debut, having debuted in early 2023. All 3 members of this unit are from 127 and are vocalists who come together in this unit to focus on more groovy, vocally focused music. The members of this unit are reflected in the unit name: DOyoung, JAEhyun, and JUNGwoo. The currently unnamed and undebuted Japanese unit is the latest and LAST NCT unit to come and it's members are already known because of a competition show that just finished airing called NCT Universe LaStart which decided the final lineup. The members just recently performed with the other 20 members during their full group concert NCT Nation, but the sound and name they'll have as a group is unknown for now. The members are Sion, Yushi, Daeyoung, Sakuya, Riku, Jungmin and Ryo! After this unit NCT will now be adding or debuting any more units. Totally understand you not liking "Cherry Bomb" as much, it's not my favorite 127 song either. It's a very iconic song of theirs in the eys of the GP and the fandom though. I don't think it's bad though, I LOVE the choreo and the rap verses and the beat and the vocals, I just think the song is too long and could've been produced in a faster paced way if that makes sense. It's definitely one of Mark's BEST rap verses in their whole discography though like he EATS. It IS important to remember though that NCT is known for pushing boundaries with their music. Their whole concept is creating something different and unique and something that most people aren't anticipating and it doesn't always work for everyone, but it's important to remember that that's what they're trying to do with their music because if you go into an NCT song expecting something else, you will often be disappointed or surprised in a bad way. Always expect the unexpected and prepare yourself to hear something new lol best way to enjoy their music! Of course it may just be that their sound isn't for you which is always fair, but I think a little time and their music can grow on anyone.

And I also wanna let you know that NCTzens (nct fans - pronounced "n citizens") are VERY used to people not vibing with NCT's music so never be afraid to say if you don't like a song, we totally get it and are usually very accepting of criticism as long as it's not mean to the boys or the producers lol which you definitely weren't so no worries!

Artsy and classy. I liked what you said! You know when NCT released these songs, there weren’t a lot of hiphop dance songs in kpop. They have that effect that you don’t like it, but once you get the hang of it, you will never get out of the NCT genre/music. They are so not for everybody, but one day you will realize how genius their music are. Nowadays there are so many noise music, but NCT is the king of it.

Thank you for reacting to this If you're going for a part 2 I would like to recommend you to do the killing voice of NCT first. I think that would be a better intro to NCT

There are different sub units to nct. 3 of these songs were from the NCT 127 unit. You could also explore other units to see which ones you will vibe with more. There is NCT Dream and Wayv. And NCT U which you have done two of their songs so far 7th sense and baggy jeans.

Realized despite my long ass comment I never left a comment with suggestions for more NCT music so here: NCT 127 - "Ay-Yo" and "Simon Says" (and NCT 127 are actually currently gearing up for a comeback on October 6 so it might be nice to check that out when the time comes) NCT Dream - "ISTJ" and "Hello Future" WayV - "Phantom" and "Moonwalk" NCT DoJaeJung - "Perfume" and "Kiss" NCT U - "Universe (Let's Play Ball)" and "90s Love" ALSO NCT do a thing every so often called a year project album where every current active member of NCT get together that year and release an album that all of them have worked on together. The title track and bsides are always NCT U songs and they release one song where every member is on it together. "Baggy Jeans" was the title track for the most recent year project album "NCT 2023 Golden Age" and I recommend checking out the full group song "Golden Age" as well once you've gotten a taste of what every unit has to offer.

If you want an overview of the music they performed nct 127 and nct dream have each done a killing voice which I think you’d enjoy!!!

The dance performance of Cherry Bomb is really good ✨ you may want to watch them. Tbh most NCT songs, especially the title track, aren't for me either. But their b-side tracks are just *chef's kiss* You may want to watch NCT 127 & NCT Dream killing voice to listen to their b-side tracks

As someone who loves these songs so muchhh esp cherry bomb, I still enjoyed this reaction a lot! Even tho some songs were personally not for you, I like how you were still able to appreciate them! Hope you can react to the other units (NCT Dream, Wayv, NCT DJJ) as well since each sub-unit gives off a different style/color in their music!

This is just nct 127 😅 Its not all what nct is. NCT 127 is just one if the sub units of nct that promotes on its own with its own type neo(nct) sound. And as fans we don't really count nct u as a unit because it isnt a fixed unit. NCT U members always change to who fits the concept the best. Any of the members from the other units can be in nct u. The other units of NCT are NCT Dream, WayV and NCT DOJAEJUNG. There is also nct tokyo coming soon (members hv been decided but they hvnt made an official debut yet). The thing that these units have in common is that they all hv an experimental or as we fans call it neo sound, but each unit have a different type or concept. NCT Dream has a fresh and youthful sound to their music. They are also more melodic and uplifting. Probably more your type of music WayV's sound is more rock vibez and leans towards the chinese market so their songs are all in chinese or english. NCT DOJAEJUNG sound is more r&b and very vocal heavy. They debuted this year. If you’re looking for lighter concept boy groups, I recommend NCT Dream, Astro, SF9, GOT7, WEi, TNX, The Boyz, Oneus, and P1Harmony. YES NCT NOW HAVE 27 members they have sub units nct 127, nct dream, way v the Chinese unit and my fav unit , and the last addition NCT Tokio for promotions in Japan , and NCT U is a rotation group is depends for the concept of the song only 2 members or all members , all subunit have concept nct 127 is more mature and more experimental you have to listen 3 times jajaja , nct dream are the young of the group the debut in 2016 whit 14-17 years know they grow up , and you can check the killing voice from nct 127 and nct dream too check the bsides and more of the music.
