Kelly is an iconic queen!!! I love her so much!

Following the changes in her personal life, Kelly is having a whole re-birth and I'm 100% here for it. I absolutely adore her.

Kelly is going to be among the vocal icons! She makes the song her own. Her band is off the charts, and it makes the experience that much more magical.

I remember when she sang “Natural Woman” on the first season of American Idol, and I was like 😮 this girl can saaaang!!!

She has been on a journey of losing weight and getting healthier. She said that she is prediabetic and has hypothyroidism. She realized that she needed to lose weight and be healthy. She looks incredible! I have always loved her and thought she is beautiful no matter what her weight is. She has so much soul when she sings. This woman can sing ANYTHING! Such an amazing vocalist ❤

She also worked through her divorce, so she shed emotional and physical weight. Her process took a couple years but she just shines now. And her vocals show it as well. Just *chefs kiss *!

It's probably been a little more than 8 months cuz if you track back to the release of the album party she had started to slim down by Vegas she was continually shrinking If you pay attention the outfit gets looser and looser.. She mostly credits it to eating the way the doctor tells her because she has dealt with some autoimmune issues and thyroid issues. And she said there's a world of difference living in LA and living in New York. She said they never went for a walk in LA and now they don't drive anywhere they walk everywhere and people keep trying to say she used gummies or shots or something but no she just did it the right way

Kelly C can sang anything! Her band is named Y'all. My band Y'all. KCNYC is Kelly Clarkson New York City because they moved from Hollywood to NYC.

On the subject of her talk show and what it affords her someone else in the reaction world mentioned the brilliance of having a constant way to keep your instrument fine tuned in fun ways. When you’re touring and what not it’s really difficult and you play a lot of the same music. Afterwards you might have a lot of vocal dead time if you aren’t intentional with it. She gets to have daily vocal practice and expression while also diversifying what she gets to sing so it’s always fresh and fun for her!

Chaka Khan is also an incredible jazz singer. There is plenty of KZread footage of our girl belting out American Songbook standards. Go enjoy, Britt 🎉

Love it when you react to Kelly! She’s amazing! She did a cover of What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish, that was insanely good. Her band is ridiculously good too! Band name is Y’all. Hi Britt! I loved this! I heard someone just the other day say that Kelly can sing. Singing is what you do in your shower every morning. Kelly starts off on the ground floor and takes us up to the penthouse or sometimes the rooftop! Depends on how her day is going! 😜😂

if you haven't, check out Kelly's cover of Save Me by Jelly Roll...it's so good..even Jelly himself said it made him cry when he first heard her sing it ..i'm not even a Kelly fan but she has a spectacular voice.

Kelly always credit her musical director, Jason Halbert, for having her career. They've been together since the Idol days. He knows her strengths and arranges the music to fit it. They always joke that she can sound differently from run-through to taping because of her allergies. So they will prepare the song in a couple keys, just 'in case.' They have a great team that works together so well, all talented in their own right. It's nice to hear the mutual respect they have for each other. Proof that if you're kind, you'll attract kindness.

The band was named Y'all by the audience in a poll. They chose that because she always says "give it up for my band y'all" and they aren't very fond of it lol

Oh and the Katy Perry song I mentioned was "Wide Awake". It's just stunning.

IMO, Kelly only can brag about her vocal abilities (which are undeniable), but her version of ain't nobody, ain't magical any more. ain't nobody does it better that Chaka Khan and Rufus

Kelly has lost almost 80 lbs... plus the 175 lbs she lost by divorcing her ex!!!

Due to the stresses in her personal life, which she handled gracefully in the public, she put on Weight (Which is 100% OK!) but she was diagnosed pre-diabetic last year. So she followed Dr's orders (listen up ppl!! Science!) Through her mental health therapy, changing her eating habits, and getting excersize (I don't know anything about if she was put on Ozempic for the diabetes-it's was 2 months ago since my Dr. Prescribed it for my pre-diabetic condition and i lost close to 20 lbs) so this wasn't a vanity issue. She's a single mom with two young children and an evil ex husband and ex FIL. She did what she needed to do for the sake of her children and her health. And! Now we don't have to see her old stylist put her in clothes with 3 inch thick belts under her boobs. God they put her in some ugly assed clothes which did nothing to make her look good.She has a new stylist since moving to NYC... And what a change. Kelly Stan from day 1!!

She mentioned about her pre-diabetes dx and hx of hypothyroidism. She used a diet plan from book the plant paradox and Mounjaro (gummy), not Ozempic. I think she said she lost 50lbs.

I can't get into any live recordings of any songs. It's meant to be listened to live, and the audio loses so much when recorded. Even when I was a kid, I'd never buy the live albums of any band I liked. Either see them in concert, or buy the studio version.

The thing that I didn't like about live recordings was when they used the live vs studio recordings on 'Greatest Hits' compilations. But, some live recording were great, Almand Bros - Live at Fillmore for Whipping Post, Johnny Winter - Live And . Most of us couldn't make it to the locations where these bands performed. Having said that, I get your point.

Wow. You are missing out. Journey:Live from Houston. Incredible album... Even on vinyl. Digital music formats are not the authentic sound the artists came up with. Live is authentic.

The live albums are good, most of them are doctored up in the studio before release anyway, so they are mostly half live and half studio and end up sounding great anyway.

@@Markyajv In some cases they may be mostly live, but many artists have admitted to going back in the studio and redoing vocals and some of the instrument parts for the live albums.

I think Clarkson is one of the most talented singers alive. This was not a great performance, in my opinion. In her defense, covering Chaka is a big task. This rendition lacked the vibe and soul Chaka brought to it. Art is subjective, and this is a subjective opinion.
