Jerry Reed is special, he's as much funk as he is country. He could sit in with George Clinton and be natural on the mothership, or a bluegrass band on the back side of the holler, or the Gran Ole Opry.

Back in the day we all listened to the same stuff. You had pop stations which played everything from soul , pop, rock and country. It was full of variety. Jerry Reed was awesome!
