Work his way from low notes to super high notes, and all the singing technique from western and eastern, insane vocal technique in between, being composer, vocalist, stage presence, play many instruments , many genres many languages ! Dimashs culture passes down from generation to generation customs of the ones before. This comes from the many family members alive, from his schooling at a very young age thru to the university, from the instruments used even today. It was dimashs idea to put this instrument as well as the artist playing the Kobe to because Dimash sos he is the best. The instrument is ancient from their culture. Dimash has played the piano winning his first piano contest at 5 yrs old. This culture believes I reincarnation which I don’t dispute, but you see how passing stuff down lends to this believe. We all have sheet music of the great pianist back centuries to our hands if we want to study it and play it. Well, Dimash did. We can’t even count the many styles and genres he’s been exposed to and uses. This one piece had so many influences that I can’t begin to understand where they came from. Sharon somebody wrote the words with Igor the music. But dimash and Igor work together. They collabed. Dimashs had enough education and experience at 22 on sos at the China show to have produced the whole thing. He could have but it was probably a colllab. At that time even tho th dears were telling the critics the vocal coaches dimashs ability to have produced the whole thing. W hat did he do after the show? He did his own show touring. Proof that he could do lighting sound production instruments, cameras. Grips. That he could tell these.people what mark on the floor he was going to be at when. I am familiar with more than 200 operas and Singers from all genres for the last 60 years and never even thought of thinking of anyone being the best in the world. Now I think Dimash fits that position easily. I am not comparing Pavarotti or Maria Callas or Frank Sinatra or any other with Dimash because he is so different and seems to cover all genres and so proficiently, with class, charisma, stage presence - he is even very handsome - damn it!! Dimash is phenomenal.

The instrument is kobyz, an ancient Kazakh music instrument. This instrument can produce extremely nature-like sounds. You can hear much more of it in the beginning of "Samaltau" Kazakh folk song performed by Dimash for the online Tokyo Jazz Festival (check out Dimash' youtube account for this song). In that performance when kobyz is playing you can hear the sounds of wind across the steppes, howling of wolves, barking of aul (Kazakh village) dogs, sounds of birds in the night, etc It is an amazing instrument and it is played in this video and in "Samaltau" by one of the best kobyz players.

Great reaction! Like everyone, you think that the last song is your favourite one! Maybe, you are ready to hear him singing in his native tongue and about his own culture. I would recommend Samaltau. It’s about a Kazakh soldier who has to leave his old parents to join the WWI and in his walk throughout the Kazakh steppe, he thinks of them and his own destiny while listening to the sounds of that environment. A totally different song!

Diana Ankudinova is a young (now 20) Russian singer who has the most unique, captivating, chill inducing voice on the planet. I suggest you get videos off her KZread channel to reduce copyright strike issues. She has an amazing backstory, as she was abandoned at a train station at the age of 3 with a broken collarbone, placed in an orphanage, and was so traumatized that she could not speak. They noticed her singing to cartoons, and used singing as a form of voice therapy. I wont go to much into her voice, will let you discover that. She gained a huge following on the internet with her performances of Wicked Game (age 15), Rechenka (14), Human (15), Crow (18), Blizzard (15), but I would start with her performing the Elvis classic (in her own original way) "Can't Help Falling in Love" on a Russian voice competition against some of Russia's most famous singers when she had just turned 18 (hint: She won).
