진짜 자랑스러워요. 보석 같은 우리 가수들. 빅마마 1일 1딩고 하고있어요ㅋㅋ 대부분 해외 유튜버 반응이 윗세대 R&B 음악 같은데 이런 여자 그룹이 전무후무하다. 과거 15년 이내에 이런 여자 그룹을 찾을 수가 없다. 토니 브랙스톤, 보니 엠, 휘트니 휴스턴 등의 노래풍이 생각난다. 요즘 세대들의 노래풍이 많이 달라졌는데, 요즘도 이런 감성의 노래가 있었으면 좋겠다. 노래 부르는 걸 즐기고 있는 게 느껴져서 보는 사람이 힐링된다. 노래에 열과 성을 다하는 모습이 감동적이다. 청중에게 감정을 고스란히 전달해 감동시킨다. 20분 이상 저런 노래들을 죽 이어서 부를 수 있는 스태미너가 미쳤다. 전문가들이 볼때 정말 어려운 스킬들도 노래에 잘 녹여낸다. 실수할 것이라는 걱정없이 서로를 믿고 있고 자신의 파트를 완벽하게 소화한다. 나이들면서 목소리가 더 완숙해졌고 목소리에 각자의 quirk가 묻어나지만, 4가지 보이스 컬러가 완전히 다른 데도 하나가 되어서 노래한다. 기술적으로나 스택 쌓는 거나 감정전달이나 모두 완벽하다. 빅마마 리액션 추천해줘서 빅마마를 알게 돼서 고맙고 노래 너무 좋아서 자기 플레이리스트에 넣겠다 함. 여러 해외 유튜버들이 닭살 돋는다고 많이 함ㅎㅎ 해외 유튜버들 놀라는 표정이 찰져서 맛집임ㅋㅋ 유튜버 중에 보컬 코치들도 있는데 자기도 저렇게 부르고 싶다고 질투하기도 하네요ㅎ 이제껏 했던 노래 리뷰 영상들 중에서 최고 중 하나다(one of a kind, best)라고 극찬 많이 합니다. 오늘은 너무 지려가지고 감정적으로 너무 몰입해서 리뷰 더 이상 못하겠고 집에 가고 싶다ㅋㅋ(사람들이 exhausted 진짜 많이 함ㅋㅋ) 하나 같이 이런 반응이고, 그 분야에서 최정상을 찍고 다른 사람들이 소름이 돋을 정도로 잘하는데 자신의 일을 즐기면서 하고 있는 가수가 있다면 자랑스럽지 않을 이유가 없지요.

Best vocals I`ve heard, no pretense, they are the real deal. New fan for life.

I think "Uuhh, me no longer talk good" is an appropriate reaction. I was the same after seeing their "Killing Voice" and honestly, still am. Took me 10 Minutes to write this.

Big Mama are unparalleled vocalist! They always make people speechless the first time they hear them sing!

As mentioned in other comments, the members are now professors in Universities. One of the members (Shin Yeon-Ah, far left) is a professor at Howon University, head of the K-Pop department which debuted a student K-Pop group called Azer with the song Elegante. It's a really good group and song for being a university K-Pop group!

My first time ever hearing from them, but not only does every single voice stand out, and their harmonization sound so smooth, but their fashion is also so up my alley!!! yeah I'm definitely gonna check out more of them! especially their album like a bible. all the songs of it sounded so fricking good!

I really can't say anything better than WOW Ps: if you haven't already listened to "Arirang alone by Sohyang", that's an amazing way to keep listening to goddess like vocals

Break Away가 데뷔곡이었지만, 실제 그 당시 빅마마 맴버들은 각 음악적 포지션별로 나름 프로급들이었지요. 지금은 내공(스킬)이 쌓여 가볍게 즐기면서 부르시지만, 데뷔 당시의 그 멜로디, 음색, 화음 모두가 우리나라에서는 파급적&새로운 장르급이었네요.

제 개인적인 감상이지만 당시 녹음된 음원보다 5월에 갔던 콘서트 라이브가 훨씬 듣기 좋았어요 올해말에도 콘서트 예정 되어 있다고 하는데 무조건 갈껍니다. 돈이 전혀 안아깝고 고막이 호강하는 느낌이었어요. 정말 연륜이 쌓여서 어마어마 하더라고요.

문제는, 그 이후의 곡들도 재미삼아 불러주시는데, 그것이 이 후 킬링보이스 영상촬영본보다 좋다는 것... 조율 좀 ㅠ ㅋㅋㅋ

If you like this sound, then you will love "Forestella", too. They are four male vocalists and have top-tier harmony and techinique. I strongly recommend you their "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Time in a bottle" !! You will loooove it!!

Big Mama was the first girl group under YG Entertainment. YG is the company that Blackpink currently belongs to. Also, all the members of Big Mama are vocal professors at universities. Their singing skills in Korea are top-class, and there is no doubt about them even by global standards.

technically.. they're the 2nd but most ppl forget bc that other group(Swi.T) only had like 2 songs (they disbanded in 2 years due to inactivity) bc YG wanted to get with one of the members so he ruined them bc he didn't want anyone else to want that member (she's his wife btw) regardless.. most ppl like me consider Big Mama as the first so on a technicality your not wrong

@@ELmayberry Swi-T was the 1st girl group of yg technically but very short lived. And Big Mama was not a typical girl group rather a female vocal group. Big Mama concept was quite different that they were backup singers of a pretty girl group in their mv. Big Mama were already skilled singers but not skinny and pretty like typical girl group and yg intended to make that image.

They have lost nothing and maybe even better now ! These Ladies and SoHyang are probably the most passionate and soulful of all in S.Korea! Amazing ! I am suggesting a song from SoHyang! It is her winners song from King of Masked Singer( the original , before it was franchised ) she did not have to wear her costum or mask for this performance! I saw a video on Solarsido where MoonSun was waiting in line talking to some people who didn't know them. One guy said he thought Mamamoo and Big Mama were the same "type" of music. I can definitely see how the guy could make that comparison. For some reason they remind me of Tokyo Groove Jyoshi (all woman Japanese funk band). Sort of the vocal equivalent of them. Particularly when they started doing the faster songs.
