"I don't know" was actually their debut MV from 2011, it was reuploaded in 2015 on 1theK's channel (probably distribution purposes) probably why the viewcount was low plus it's hard to gauge older group's popular song or popularity based on viewcount because streaming to up the viewcount wasn't really a thing until like 2016. Plus APink's debut wasn't huge either, they didn't exactly pop off until a few comeback later with "NoNoNo" I believe. Also they did have 7 members at debut (idk if you noticed) one of them left not long after. As a group Apink is definitely well loved in Korea. They carried a brighter more innocent concept for years and I think that's why Korea loved them so much. They kind of came out with that concept pretty early on, 2011 when sexy girl groups was the popular concept. Over the years, they kept that sense of innocence in their image. I think it's only the past few years they started adding in a bit more mature vibes. Like you said, it's kind of like what Gfriend are doing now, they started with an innocent bright concept and eventually added a bit of a mature elegant look. Anyways, they're one of the longest lasting female girl groups in Kpop, and one of the few that are from that far back and still pretty active today, I think they squeeze in about 1 comeback a year now. I believe all members have also done acting and they're all great on variety shows as guests and hosts. Also funfact, APink still holds the record for the most music show wins on a single song for a girl group with 17 wins with "LUV". In terms of generation, they're like late 2nd gen/early 3rd gen. 2010-2012 is like the weird bubble of overlap time between the generations so depending on who you talk to, some say 2nd gen ended in 2010 while others suggest it went one until around 2012. Anyways I think good APink songs to watch are: "NoNoNo", "Mr Chu", and "LUV" those 3 while they're not connected, they're like a package.

Finally someone said it....a lot of the fans saying/arguing Apink is the 3 generation kpop group but True kpop fans know that 2011 - early 2012 debut groups is very confusing so we just state them as 2.5 generation groups...and thanks for the info

Apink is one of the true legendary Kpop girl groups. Each member is fascinating and impressive in her own right. If you like the group, you will find it worth your time to get to know each of the members.

thank u for reacting to apink ❤ this is my all time favorite group!!! they did a show called 'apink news' before their debut and group name was offically set to introduce and show the members' personalities. 'i don't know' was actually their debut song on April 19 2011 but it was re-uploaded and the views were low cause of that and that streaming wasn't really a big thing back then. the debut was also overlooked at the time cause of some drama or scandal going on between some celebrities if i remember correctly. the girls even mentioned that they didn't really get recognized until 'it girl' came out. their fandom, pink panda, is actually still pretty strong but since a majority of the fanbase is Korean and Japanese, a lot of the channels and sites are Korean so they're harder to find if ur not fluent. when apink was more active, they were constantly hosting and being casted in variety shows and fans were always requesting more reality shows because most of the members have very expressive, extroverted personalities. they really blew up in 2013 with 'nonono' (think you may have heard this or seen a cover of this) and their song 'LUV' holds the most wins for a girl group song. they were basically what red velvet are in Korea now, consistently being among the top selling groups during the mid 2010s and branching out into Japan and the rest of Asia (but not as huge in the west as blackpink or girls generation). i think i remember girls generation even saying apink was the most fitting for the image of being the next nations girl group cause they has a similar innocent concept when everyone else was going for sexier or more girl crush themes. right before this tho, one of the members left the group (cube said she went to university to focus on her education but her dad said she was kicked out). since they were part of cube during this time, they're also super close w btob, their are compilations of their friendship and the groups are shipped as btopink. bomi and ilhoon hosted the starting segment of weekly idol w doni and coni for about 100 episodes during this period too. the mid 2010s was also the time they broke away from cube and established their own company 'plan a' now known as 'play m', the company of victon and weeekly. 3 of the members have made solo debuts now (eunji in 2015 or 2016 don't remember exactly, hayoung in 2019, and namjoo who just recently debuted this year). since they're a super veteran group now, they only do group comebacks once every 10-15 months now ever since they re-signed their contracts after their first 7 years. most of them have KZread channels tho and they're in a lot of different fields respectively. chorong is on a radio talk show (she's kind of a homebody so she doesn't really promote herself on anything but she's always on set to cheer for her members whenever they're on anything), bomi is currently on a drama that's airing (called 'please don't date him' i think), eunji is a music radio host (basically like what NCT radio is where a group will come on and they'll promote and joke around), naeun models for different brands and acts (she's probably the most popular member now and she was the muse for psy's 'new face', namjoo was just doing her promotions for a song written w G I-dle's soyeon (and she's also the CEO(?) of her own food company), and hayoung did an OST for a drama recently along with being on a couple interview shows (she's best friends w joy and yerin from rv and gfriend from their high school days so they'll have some videos together sometimes too). if u want to check out their personal channels: bomi: 뽐뽐뽐 (vlogs and eating) eunji: 정은지 EUNJI (song covers and live streams) namjoo: 남주세끼 (eating) hayoung: 오하빵 ohhabbang (soccer content and gaming) as for songs, i think nonono and dumhdurum would be good to listen to (song that got them mainstream exposure and their newest song) and i hope u can do the wave (my personal favorite, their 2016 fan song (most of the fan songs are written by chorong))

They are very well respected in the kr industry and each member are very well known(because some of them are actresses, radio djs, host, etc.) but korean shows often disrespect them like what happened during KBS song festival 2019, where they cut off their performance, a senior group got less time of performing than younger groups, Apink even spoke about it, KBS apologize after

Apink was pretty consistent with their cute/innocent concepts until they released "I'm So Sick" in 2018. Their company, PlayM, debuted their first new girl group since Apink this year with Weeekly.

APink is a group that debuted in 2011 with a cute concept and did not depart from it until almost 2018, since 2018 they have moved away from a cute concept to a sexy one. Song " I dont know" their debut song in 2011. Please next reaction their song " My My- 2011, No No No- 2013 and Mr. Chu- 2014( cute concept) Facts: This Apink brought a cute concept to K - pop. Other groups began to take an example from them. Especially Gfriend. Gfriend is a copy of Apink from the debut. This is a fact

Thank you, it's kinda annoying to hear people say "apink did the same as gfriend and other 3rd gen groups" when Apink were litterally the ones that made the innocent/cute concept so big.

Apink, i think is 3rd Gen, bc Hayoung, the maknae is clasmate and friend of RV Joy and Yerin of Gfriend, they go often to do voluntary work They were under Cube, but Cube create a subsidiary (A-cube) to manage the group, they are really close to BtoB Eunji (the one you like her voice) is a close friend of Key Songs i recomend are Only one, LUV and Mr Chu

Apink is the 2.5 generation.....and yes Hayoung is friend with yerin and joy but don't forget that Hayoung debut in year 2011 when she is just 15 years old (international age)/16 (Korean age)...while yerin debut in 2015 and joy in 2014...so the two friend is the 3rd generation group
