Watched this a few weeks ago and it finally convinced me to go buy a heap of oil painting supplies for my kids as oldest is super talented and has gotten frustrated trying to follow tutorials a few times using poster paints (I cant even draw sick men). I now have a beautiful wet on wet landscape hanging on the wall drying and she loved using mostly proper gear even though we went budget and substituted on some things. Thanks for struggling through to a proper masterpiece 👍 gave me the push needed.

That’s awesome to hear man painting is tricky you think it’s looks not so good right up until you add the last details and really get a look at the whole thing. I think painting is a great hobby people should pick up ( myself included )
This one was a journey!! For context I shot this build on a 33°C heat (91.4°F ) So I was abit out of it by the end…
Greetings! Shad sent me. I think that being able to achieve an oil painting with acrylic is AMAZING. I humbly suggest a re-titling of the video to something more accurate like "...and I prove good artistry definitely transfers".

Hopefully the next one is at least as good and hopefully this wasn’t just luck haha
This looks really good man, im surprised how well you painted it after you saying "i never really painted on canvas". And of course respect for taking a Bob Ross lesson and making this fun video, any artist at some point in his life must take at least one Bob Ross lesson 😄

Yeah I’ve never really given it a go and honestly I quite enjoyed it Something I want to try again in the future ( maybe with the correct paint )
Really great work. I don't know I ended up here but you killed it!

Well welcome Glad you like it’s 👍🏼
Turned out great!
I prefer yours over Bob's tbh, despite using the wrong paint type, you managed to get a level of colour blend thats very pleasing and looks sharper and clearer than Bob's. It can't really be 'wrong' if it turned out that good. Well done man.

I think I could of got a nicer blend using oil paints but never having used it I have no idea how it drys or mixes something I’ll look into for the next try

@@TYRANTH_ Bob Ross makes the canvas wet before painting. He calls it liquid white, or in this case liquid brown I guess. That's how he blends that good.
Your painting looks like it could be used in a game and I love the contrast between the background and fire. Excellent job keep at man.
I actually like yours better than Bob Ross's! Yours is sharper and clearer; his is more smooth and foggy. The Dark Souls bonfire with the sword is definitely a nice touch, too, lol 😅. Major props. I hate painting. I suffered through it in college (and a bit in primary school) and was traumatized. I don't even like to draw anymore, lol 😬. I just do Photshop/GIMP art now, lol 😅. Well, actually I mostly cosplay, but as far as still art is concerned, I just manipulate existing photos in GIMP 😅.

The smoothness is from the paint he uses. I also find myself less inclined to do art these days from how much it can bore me haha
Bro, that looks awesome! I'd be happy to hang that in my room. Great job!

Your´s looks so much cleaner and i personally like it way more than Bob´s and also the Sword is just the cherry on top. Well done and pleasing to watch the progress, thank you.
First, I love your painting with the Dark Souls twist. Second, I really should not have watched this video. Now I remember that I inherited a box of high-quality oil paint from my mum..you gave me ideas. Thank you for that.
looks really good
I love how Bob Ross has become internationally known.
Bro I watched your full video and that painting you did looks amazing I know it's hard to like our own work because we see our own flaws but damn that was Art

First off, you did an awesome job! I can tell your an artist and you definitely have the eye for it. Your painting turned out fantastically considering the challenges up against you! Couple things I have learned about bob over the years. After he passed his company started putting out bad quality products. the paints bob uses are a light higher pigment (more expensive) so you don't get vibrancy he does. His paints are also thicker; they are also oil paints not acrylic. It is probably THE biggest factor for using his techniques. ie you could get the water technique, you did it right, was the paint. You can use whatever crappy brushes, the biggest deal is the paints-- your spackle knife does the same thing as the knife. you could also use any kind of "flipper" like you would for a grill. the only you need the paint knife for is mountains He uses a "special" kind of paint for the first layer, normally its just gesso. which behaves differently.

Yeah I went out a got some scrapers and acrylic thickener sop next time Hopefully it will be abit more of a smoother project for me.
Tyranth patience is one of the most important things, remember of of bob ross's most important lessons happy little accidents and art is never a perfect recreation art is the unique take of a work of art painted by someone else or in nature its self your work is awesome :D wish i could paint half that well dont worry about perfection so much the imperfections are what make it yours, and also what makes it true art :D also never forget to have fun :)

eyy yours looks even better than bobs :D nice work!
I’d buy it!
Cool.. i watched a lot of Bob Ross... And he made me think i wanted to try... So i did. Just like you. I never painted anything... Pretty much ever. So i was completely new. I bought a black canvas and a white. You bought a nice one.. real nice. Good quality. I couldn't afford one that size, or of that quality.
Just found your channel after watching one of Shad's giant sword videos. This is the first video I've watched, but already loving the content. I actually liked your painting better than the Bob Ross one in the end, because it looked sharper and clearer. Nice work.

Remember Tyranth, there are no mistakes. Just happy accidents.
Don't know if you know but he also does a layer of white before he even paints
The opening, censored image gave me the impression of Mordor.

Hey not a bad idea 👍🏼
It looks really really good... even better than Bob's in this case. Yours feels to have a bit more forward note in the colors while his are a bit more blended. Also, what did you feel that you've learned from this, that you've used ever since?
it's awesome🔥🔥🔥🔥
