I have a couple question am 5 3 do you think I can fit on one of those and is it a 2 or 4 stroke and am know how to ride big bikes it’s just I rode a 250 never a 450 or 426

It's a 4 stroke. And honestly i dont know because these 426 are really strong machines. They pull hard. Probably should go with a 250 2 stroke to begin with they are little more easy to ride and not so explosive power.

@@anglegrinderlover994 I've had two 250 2 strokes. And it was mediocre. Sure the power is snappy. But thats it. Thats why you fanboys think they are more powerful. Because of that snappy throttle response. But they are really not that fast anymore. You are stuck in the past. Hell, even the honda cr500 has 57hp. And guess what? 450 4 strokes today has 57hp. I mean you have to wake up. Then i got my 426 4 stroke. Much better. Revs even higher (11000 rmp), more torque and pulls longer on the gears.

@@anglegrinderlover994 I've been riding for 34 years, grew up racing 2strokes prior to getting my first 4 stroke, a 2000 Yz426F like what is in this video, only 9 years ago, and I have a 300 2 stroke. 2 strokes can have very linear power if they are tuned to be that way (powervalve adjustment and typically adding flywheel weight), the snap that you get when you get into the powerband is why people brag about the 2 stroke power because they go from mild to wild really quickly in a certain RPM range (the powerband) because of the 2 stroke design with the piston acting as a compressor as well as the drive to the crank which means for optimal power out of it you have to get the piston and crank moving quickly to realize that power; you have to overcome the inertia but once you do youa re in business. A 4 stroke doesn't operate that way and with the YZ 400f (first modern 4 stroke and then the YZ426f, the bore is larger than prior 4 strokes with a shorter stroke so they can rev faster along with actual ignition mapping to be able to advance the timing etc. to get performance out of the machine, it completely changes the game as they have power at lower RPM than a 2 stroke, much more overall horsepower than a 2 stroke. These first generations had lots of untamed power as the ignition mapping basically called for maximum power at all RPM ranges and they will suck down as much fuel as your right hand tells it to!! lol. These bikes without having their mapping smoothed out, almost feel like they have a power band like a 2 stroke. Comparing my 426 to my dad's CR500 we both agreed that the CR500 felt like it was gonna rip your arms off a bit more when it came on the power but the 426 had more usable power across the RPM range. The newer 4 strokes especially now that fuel injection is common, have really had the power smoothed out on them so they seem like they have less horsepower as they don't try to rip your arms off; it's less violent to ride so more forgiving and seems much more mellow. If you've only been riding for a year, I would suggest throwing a leg over a 125 and 250 2 stroke and take a spin and you'll instantly understand the difference; the 2 stroke will make a much better rider out of you.

I’m 5’9 & just picked up a 426 to rebuild and I’m pretty comfortable on it, 5’5 might be a little to short unless you really know how to control your bike but give it time you’ll grow some more. 125 would probably be good to start with for a few years 🤙🏼

I think you would be able to! With enough skill and practice on some of the bigger bikes, height shouldn’t be a problem. I used to ride my dads 426. I remember having to run and jump on it to be able to ride it. I now have a cr250 and have grown to 5’10 as a 14 year old.
