I own the 2000 yz426f. It's a beast. Snappy machine and it pulls hard. I would say 85% reliable in total, But there could be some problems later on with this year model. - The thing's they made different 2001 and 2002 was giving the bike titanium valves, (40%) lighter valves. I have owned every year of these yz426f bikes and honestly I cant feel the difference. It's one of those ''Sounds good and cool on paper but really doesn't do shit when you ride it''. - Full float disk brakes instead of solid disk brakes. - On the 2000 model they had a straight key lock for the crankshaft (They tend to have some problems with that design), So they changed that for a lock clip instead on the two later models. - The pipe was re-designed in 2001 and same on the 2002 model so you didn't have to take the pipe off to be able to change the oil filter.. Yes the 2000 model you have to do that (Really annoying). Other then that, They are the same. When you ride it (2000, 2001 or 2002) you can't feel the difference.

Have you found it common to have oil to drip from the breather tubes

You need to go do some more research about these few years they started to build this model . Ti valves wasn’t the only Upgrade they did on the engine like the ignition timing , crank lightening , stator weight , re jetting to name a few other than the riding position with the chassis changes . They feel similar because they are the same model , they do not ride the same any year !!

@@TheSkinnyboy1234 I've own every year and I can clearly say you have not. Just a ''Smartass'' who wants to be right. But you're not right kid. They do feel the same and ride the same. Possibly the only few ''noticeable'' difference between these years is the clutch. 2000 has a annoying problem sort of destroying itself so to speak. And they fixed that in the two later models. So people tend to buy the ''2001 clutch mod'' for the 2000. And all of those things you tried to be so smart about turns out it doesn't change pure sh*t when you ride them back to back. It doesn't. I've owned every year of them so you can't argue against that kid. They ''did'' those things yes you are correct about that. BUT they feel the same when you ride them. End of story.
