Amazing video and reaction 10/10 also this was the 10th song out of 21 Im pretty sure the cage is mostly for privacy reasons against pictures and stuff like, to keep her face hidden, that rather than actual protection, but i could be wrong. She uses it on almost all of her live performances, but she does leave the cage sometimes, like in her performance of show (which i also strongly recommend)

That’s fair. Usually songs like this from my understanding are performed last because of the stress on the vocal cords. But it’s cool to know she’s so good at singing she can go on without any harm to her voice

The cage is always there at her shows. It's an artistic choice, but as far as I know it also has a layer that blurrs photos and videos taken from the audience. Kind of like when you'd photograph a CRT screen from up close and it gets blurry and the colors are all over the place (at least that's what I read somewhere). But people were forbidden to bring anything into the venue anyways and had so seal everything away in elecronically sealed pouches or leave it in lockers before the show because nobody in Europe and the US listens to the rules. At her world tour she didn't leave the cage, she only does it in Japan because it's forbidden to take photos and videos there anyways, regardless of who's on stage. But the people in Japan actually do respect the the wishes of the artists, not like in the rest of the world where everyone only goes to concerts to take videos they can upload on KZread afterwards. If you get busted in Japan for taking a video, you'll be politely reminded to keep your phone/camera to yourself or you'll be kicked out.

How do they regulate that when it’s dark and there’s a lot of people though. Feel like people there could get away with it if they really wanted too. I’m happy there’s a level of respect for the artists and performances though

@@itsokhoh I don't know the details of how the box works, it's just something someone who worked with Utaite before wrote in a Japanese forum. It's probably a permanent thing and maybe it depends on the angle from which you're filming or something like that? The Bluray cameras are always on the same height level as the stage and the audience is a few meters below the stage, so that would be the only thing I could think of as a trigger. But of course, a few idiots were beyond help and tried to film at her world tour anyways, which is why Ado's staff issued a warning through social media that if people don't adhere to the rules, Ado's box/cage would be immediately blacked out/unlit and would stay that way throughout all future shows (so basically an audio only concert) and at the same time introduced the electronically sealed pouches. I'm sure a lot of idiots succeeded in smuggling stuff in anyways, but I hope they were busted and fined/kicked out. I really don't know what's so hard about respecting someone's wishes and to stick to the rules, especially if you claim to be a fan of the artist.
