The coolest thing about it all is that Ado is perfectly applying her diversity in singing and unhingedness to match the meaning of the song. The song is about a girl obsessed with seeking attention and love from everyone around her. At 8:30 when she's screaming she basically says "only look at me (i'm better than all these other girls)" And at 11:06 she's saying "this is happiness" and the scream that follows it to me just perfectly embodies the twisted and pained emotions the girl in the song is going through

I actually was at the Wish tour and heard it live! she delivered an absolutely stunning performance, just like on the recording.

Your final thought about why Ado is so entertaining because she's not singing in all brashness but a mix of everything is so on point. We need a bit of everything to call an artform "perfect".

I love Ado's expressiveness so much as well. Her being on the stage feels so natural despite being faceless. it's such a joy to watch such a passionate performance.

Its insane how good she sounds while moving/performing so much simultaneously. 😍 20-25 Songs on a concert as well. She has to be severely exhausted after each concert. 😭

@@chrisliepe For Su-metal's vocal intensity, "Starlight". Other bangers: Divine Attack, Mirror Mirror, Monochrome, Arkadia. If you don't mind going back to the older songs, The One is incredible. Su-metal's crystal clear voice will pierce your heart for sure.

I don't know if you saw but Ado uploaded a video of her doing live karaoke with her friends, one song she did a cover of was called KICK-BACK. I think it would be a great analysis video since there's very little editing on the vocals so you can really hear her raw emotion and talent outside of a professional environment

I definitely think she has already proven herself capable of doing live performances as perfect as a studio version of a song can be, which is why these live performances where she can twist some parts and go "unhinged" are great.

it's really inspiring to see more and more recognition of Ado's talent and hard work. because it is combination of experimentation hard work and talent as well. I think a lot of people put the talent first and completely ignore other parts but if they take it seriously and try they can get somewhere anyway it's rewarding to start your own experiments.

Artists make you feel what they feel. She feels free when she is singing. She is freeing herself and just IS. She lets her voice, passion, creativity and energy just flow. For the music to take her on a journey using her voice as an outlet. And everyone listening to her thus also feels freed. Her music gives us permission to also freely feel whatever we feel when we listen to her and express it. You see it in her concert. The audience is just going crazy listening from the awe they feel and freely are able to express. It's so amazing. Her concerts probably feel like a whole 10 day holiday or something. You let out everything that congested and come out totally free, light, vibrating with life and full of passion, creativity and awe for life itself.

it's these performances that make me realize once again how amazing Ado is. This was right after Tot Musica, which you already know is a very vocally demanding song, for her voice to be as clean and stable as it is after that is mind blowing!

Same, was at the Dusseldorf concert and that one sounded even better imo. This video threw my right back into the moment of the concert, not that I needed it as hard-imprinted as this performance is in my memory.

The orginal producer/composer of the song (kikuo) actually commented on the live performance saying it was amazing! He also was touring in los Angeles just 4 days before she was Kikuo is my #1 fav vocaloid producer and id love to see her cover more of his songs (and maybe collab)

It's interesting you mentioned from 6:46 is the different ways of sighing into a few notes, and as a member of her fan club who has watched/listened to some of her backstage content, I can tell you she actually does that when doing vocal warmups! She repeats some bits (like one line of a song) in multiple ways, sighing in multiple ways into them, so you really pinpointed something here. Something she often does in vocal warmups are head voice/falsetto rrrrruuu's and small chest voice runs upwards

i listened to this just yesterday! i was talking with my friend and these were my thoughts: i have to say i like the studio version more, but i still do like the live version. from a live performance perspective i think its great though bc shes AMAZING at taking on her role of entertainer and its a whole new experience from the studio ver. while it feels like she used more technique and characters in the studio ver, it feels like she captured the intense nature of the song in the live ver. and it’s also just very fun to hear ado masterful screams. either way this is another stellar performance from ado and another great analysis from you! thanks for always putting out amazing content, rock on!

What's more surprising is that this live video is a video of her in poor condition after visiting 12 countries in front of her during the world tour. When I listened to the live in South Korea, the fourth country of the world tour, her voice condition was much better than this video and she had a lot of scratches.

I mean probably cause we don’t know very much about what her life was and is…. We think^^ But as you said, Gira Gira seems different from her others songs…. Angry and sad, beautiful and powerful….. That’s why I call her « The dark angel » or « The dark Queen » to refer to the « Adomination », the beauty she has and the angriness she could express sometimes.

@@WuYiQing Yes, you’re right, I remember this confession from Ado. The lyrics are definitely about her appearance. But what I’m wondering is what does it mean concretely ? Maybe a judgement about what she looks like ? I know that was the case about her artistic talent…. When she was younger, before becoming a singer. When a young girl hides herself in a closet to make music, that’s maybe a clue for a lonely teenager….. or not. What do I know ? I’m a guy and have no talent in music. Anyway, what I mean is that we don’t know much about what we analyse in her songs really implies in her personality. We suggest, even we are right about Gira Gira (cause it’s confirmed by Ado as you said). But how can I be sure of what I’m saying about her past…. I don’t know …. But I’m wondering with what her songs say for her…. I think this mystery is a part of her reputation too. I hope I can express my thoughts clearly, cause I’m not an English speaker^^
