I was thinking how Elvis had, and still has, one of the most unique and incredible staying power ability(some say stigma) in an Industry where things quickly fade if you're not in the limelight. He built his entire persona and image around a style of his own, with swag and confidence that was euphoric and purely magical. His was, and still remains, the finest music of life. When he opened his mouth to sing, and uttered those words, it bled into your entire system and lingered into your Spirit and Soul. That's what made him different. I'm also reminded that throughout his lifetime, and career, until the very end, John Lennon frequently cited Elvis, as "The King" and "his idol". Happy Heavenly Birthday to your Dad, Sammy, he sounds like he was a lovely guy and I'm sure he was very proud of you. I'll be thinking about you. It'll be 29 years this August since my Dad passed away. He always thought about everyone else and put them before himself. I'm not sure what 'Memorial Weekend' is, but I wish you a happy one anyway. It's what we call 'Spring Bank Holiday' here in the UK and we are having some lovely weather at the moment, so I'm going to go out and enjoy it.
