Very emotional song and one of my favourite songs. Interestingly, it was the most watched segment of her Glastonbury concert when Nick joined her on stage to sing that song. It is the most watched segment of any time of any Glastonbury concert ever. They performed it so well in concert! Amazing song and Kylie is the best performer of all time in my opinion and it's interesting that so many people worldwide including artists like Madonna and Janet Jackson are starting to realise her incredible versatile talent. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Nick Cave is a genius plan and simple, all the bands he's been in have been great.

Its also a play on the loss of the victims identity, in reference to the famous 'Black Dahlia' murder (1947) where the victims name was Elizabeth Short but the world ignored that when she was christened the 'Black Dahlia' hence the lines They call me The Wild Rose But my name was Eliza Day Why they call me it, I do not know For my name was Eliza Day

I agree, definitely one of my favourites. I believe it is based on an Irish folklore. I love the perspectives of both verses. He refers to the last day, whereas Eliza/Kylie interpreted it as the third date. I also love the music video taking inspiration from Shakespeare's Ophelia. Great reaction ❤

I love the story on how they got together to record this. I guess both were too busy to talk face to face, so instead of their people calling each other, kylies mom and Nick's mom would call each other and pass their messages to each other.

Kylie should have WAY MORE views and streams than she does. She’s such a visual artist and has dared to venture off into other musical genres throughout her career, taking risks that a lot of other artists wouldn’t do.

Explore the Murder Ballads album, one of Nick Caves great albums, good music and stories in that album. Suggest the Curse of Milhaven
