The entire Devil without a Cause album is a serious gem, you can play the entire thing on repeat! The lil man who was always with him was Joe C; he had celiac disease that stunted his growth and eventually, he passed away from it too. In the video he was fist-fighting Gary Coleman; a famous actor who suffered from a kidney disease that resulted in him not growing any taller than 4' 8". The piano player was Ron Jeremy; a world-famous PStar. Pam Anderson was in Playboy but not any official P movies other than her home made stuff with the likes of Tommy Lee from Motley Crue and even Bret Michaels from Poison at one point. Yes, her most famous role was as CJ on Baywatch, alongside David Hasselhoff, Nicole Eggert, Yasmine Bleeth and Donna D'Errico. Originally, Kid Rock was with the Twisted Brown Trucker band; which featured Eminem from time to time, in his very early stages of his career.

Kid Rock started out with what can probably best be described as perverted rap. He didn't hit it big until he started incorporating rock & country influences into his music. I saw him perform at a small bar at Bowling Green University a few years before he blew up & he was transitioning to the sound that made him big. Try "Bawitdaba" for a lively track... or "Only God Knows Why" - probably his best song - which is slower & shows off his range. He also did an amazing duet with Sheryl Crowe called "Picture" which is more of a country sound.

The story of Bob "Kid Rock" Ritchie is a very long, very interesting one. He was brought up close to Detroit in Romeo Detroit. This was at the height of the KR explosion from his album Devil Without a Cause. I highly recommend diving into his story and his discography for sure. He has literally done music in all areas, rap rock and country. One talented dude and out of the hundreds of show I have seen I have seen him 14 times and it is hands down one of the best live shows you could ever see. Check out his Woodstock 94 show.........just great.

I love hearing young people trying to figure out Kid Rock. As someone who is his age. He was rural American influenced. We grew up with southern rock, classic rock, early Rap and then this was a few years after NWA and 2 Live Crew and more hard core rap came out. Kid mixed all of these different genres into a mesh and still does. To get all of this, you would have to listen to Straight outta Compton, Skynard, CDB, Molly Hatchet, Run DMC and alot more. You listen and will hear tidbits from all over the place from the 70s, 80s, early rap, even a little motown.
