And why would he cost the face the chance to win a match by ending it when he again has no idea who did it! He doesn't even know if it's one of the two or someone that was interfering. The ref could only call what he sees.

Plus she was far away from Christian so not only did he have to turn really fast to face her, he had to overreact to get her attention and essentially be like "look at me", despite the fact she should be closer to him in order to sell that she is going to attack him and automatically be on Edge's side so sell the sudden turn. Just a clusterfuck all around 😂😂😂

The fact we’re seeing them both in a ring to begin with was something no one thought they’d see live again. To me, at least, it’s just nostalgic that they’re still able to do what they do. As much as she couldn't stand Christian Cage's influence over her son, Cage didn't hurt her son; Adam did, and right in front of her like she didn't matter. In her mind, it's bad enough that her son's father is no longer around. She's not going to allow anyone to convince him that his mother doesn't matter. No parent would.

Christian could’ve dragged the ref to do that count but the guy just magically woke up at the right time.

Christian and Adam are both absolute ring generals, Christian had the wherewithal to even hold the title left handed when he was going to clock Adam, little details like that, playing up the injury to his hand, the left handed punches, the shaking his hand in pain, Adam biting the right hand, every little detail was nice.

I was worried about what Adam had left in ring, and the Killswitch match didn't make me more confident. This match did though! Really good job by both!

Two all time greats showing how it's done, a great match and proof you don't need to spam 50 finishers. Christian with the neck stomp was, old school, heel badassery. Awesome job guys.

Wow, what a match! Christian Cage and Adam Copeland tore the house down with their amazing performance. They have so much chemistry and history together and they used it to create a masterpiece. Cage is a phenomenal TNT champion and Copeland is a phenomenal challenger. AEW is the place to be for wrestling fans!

It's amazing to see Christian getting a great singles run after all these years I knew he had it in him. Sad Vince never believed in him and made him a joke with edge. He was a side kick no more and he showed edge he is not his goofy sidekick anymore beautiful match

What a Main Event 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Glad they did the smart thing and put Christian over for their first match! If Adam had gone over it would have snuffed out Christian's flame too early. This match made Christian look really strong so their rivalry (and eventual reunion) will remain epic.

I love seeing these two veterans going at it!

I could not get into these 2 feuding in 2001 but this is on another level. This is what I call a winding back the clock match

What a stupid ending

This should have been a match for one of their ppvs instead of giving it away for free on tv. They could have built this more on their weekly show culminating at their next ppv.

Christian Cage is one of the best story tellers in the business! I now get it when moxley talked about match psychology and Cage was the best when it came to it!

Loved this match, this was just pure quality. Great grappling, great story telling, this is what pro wrestling is all about. Everything made sense, knowing how to counter each other's signatures and finishers, their history and knowledge making them evenly matched. It was really perfect.

The 2 legends proved their best in this match

Man that was fun to watch. I legit wasn’t sure Cage would retain.

Really great match, but I was expecting as much I feel like the ending was a bit...whatever....but everything before that was incredible, especially that intense beginning where it felt like Adam was just trying to DESTROY Christian.
