Jack is actually a musical genius. A gifted performer standing on the edge of reality. Do more Jack White and you'll recognize just how artistic he is.

I love that when they play this in football stadiums, the crowd sings the guitar solo, because the guitar solo is the chorus, which is fun to watch play out. They all think it's just them who doesn't know the words, but there are no words, it's a guitar solo.

Jack has other groups - The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs. They all have amazing songs. There's a great video about Jack's property in Detroit area. He built one of only two spots where you can perform and have it sent directly to vinyl. He's a true pioneer!

I love the way the two of them could cram so much sound into just an electric guitar and drums. It sounds so chaotic, but his sound is extremely controlled. He doesn't just do it with The White Stripes. The Raconteurs have that sound so does his solo band.

the lyric content is typical blues bravado imagery. and hes got switches on his guitar, along with a slide and finger control, and he's got foot switches too. i think he often uses switcges between different amps for clean and distorted. and he puts a lot of technical work into those particular sounds. hes a scientest and an inventer. a supreme performer and upholsterer. and a music history preservationist. his company helped make the vinyl format stay alive by opening another pressung plant which produces a large percentage of the vinyl records out there. quality too. all the other plants had shut down, i think there was one left and it was on its last legs. this man embodies music history. hes electric and a saint

I'm about to say some kinda unkind things about Jack White, so before I do I wanna lay out my personal relationship to him and his music. I grew up being a huge fan. I owned, at one time, every White Stripes album on CD. I hunted down live performances. I rejoiced in the discoveries of moments like Jack's performance with The Strokes, or in Jack's solo work. I still love his music, especially The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs. However as I've grown older and more observant I have noticed a thing about Jack that has bothered me for years. Jack has a real problem with women. He's still a talented artist, and make no mistake, I'm not trying to impede anyone's enjoyment of his music. If anything, I just want people to see this comment and think "It wasn't just me!" I have receipts. We can talk about Jack's personal romantic history, which is uh, interesting. We can talk about his lyricism in tracks like Freedom at 21. We can talk about his sexually segregated bands. Personally, one of my favorite demonstrations of how a musician can be so influential and beloved, and still be kind of a personal wreck. I want there to be more forgiveness for that. You dont have to forgive people for hurting you or others. But we should be able to at least pick our battles about who to cancel. Jack White, afaik, isnt campaigning against women's rights. He's just a bitter wounded dude with incredible musical skill, and that's not the same as Dennis Prager, who has no skill beyond being the worst.

He's controlling the sound with his volume knob. He's using fuzz, probably stacked fuzz pedals. That means more than one of any pedal. When he backs off the guitar's volume, the signal cleans up a bit.
