The "corpses" are titans. You know, because Attack on Titan and everything lol. The song actually does an incredible job fitting the mood of the season it was for. There are 7 AoT openings and they all try to describe the tone and feeling of whatever is going on in the anime. The earlier openings are all a lot softer because Eren (the main character) is trying to find out who he is. By the final season he found out who he is, and he wants to kill everyone. By kill everyone I mean literally everyone. The "rumbling" is a global genocide. Rumbling, rumbling, it's coming. Rumbling, rumbling... BEWARE!

This song is like erens feelings, the last parts got some flavor from previous intros of the anime. If you watch attack on Titan you know what I mean.

Can I recommend to you a band from Japan called NOISEMAKER they're a very experimental and good band.

hey, if you like japanese metal, you should definitely check out yomi yori by Imperial circus dead decadence. (maybe the drums playthough on shuhei kamada's channel, sounds a little better) imo it's the pinacle of japanese metal, with a SHIT TON of switchups and incredible riffs as well as beautiful AND super harsh vocals. definitely worth a watch.

Yomi yori by Imperial Circus Decadence is incredible, although you may not know anything about the band, it catches you in its aggressiveness and honestly it is very difficult to stop listening to it.
