This makes my Black Rose heart so happy! This is a very special band for me, and it doesn't matter what mood I'm in, The Rose will always be played at least once every day. I have been in love with this band for some time now and I'm glad to say all three Korean members (Woosung is American) have finished their military services and are currently together writing their next album. Woosung also has two solo albums which are incredible (because of course... he's a part of The Rose lol). I get so excited, yet also scared, when a reactor discovers them for the first time because I'm so dang protective of them (I know I know, that sounds weird). This is a band worthy of anyone's channel so thank you Luke. Thank you so so soooo much for showing these amazing guys some love. Thank you. I swear I'm not writing this while being teary-eyed lol!!! They were finally able to leave their previous company in December 2021 after resolving the lawsuit. They are supposed to release a new album this year called "Heal" but not sure exactly when. The Rose created their own label "Windfall."

Woosung has one of my favourite voices ever! I highly recommend you check out his solo stuff and give California a listen which is a The Rose song but its totally different to She's In The Rain! I'm so glad you enjoyed them so much!

The Rose!!!!! Most underrated group in South Korea. So glad you found them. They deserve all the love in the world.

The Rose is a Korean indie/rock band. Yes, The Rose have had to deal with a lot of awful things from their company and I'm so glad they're finally out of that situation. A few hours before the news of the lawsuit being overturned hit the internet, they released a song called Black Rose (which is our fandom name) which is a thank you to fans for being by their side. I cried the first time I heard it because I could tell they were giving us a message that they would still be with us no matter what happened. However, this song has a very somber tone at the beginning, similar to She's In The Rain, where they ask us to tell them that it'll be okay but then they tell us not to be afraid. If you do react to this, I highly recommend reading english translations of the lyrics. It's a very melancholy song that acknowledges all of their suffering but shows their resolve to continue no matter what. Thankfully The Rose are out of this situation now but I still cry every time I listen to Black Rose. Please please please check out the song! I really like this band, they're so under-rated, both vocalists are so good, Woosung (lead vocals) and Dojoon (main vocals), and the other band members Hajoon (drums) and Jaehyung (bass), very talented, I wish them the best for when they're all back together after military service later this year.

after the lawsuit they ended up getting to keep the name The Rose and one of the members (Woosung) ended up making his own label. The comeback your talking about in the pinned comment was a song they had recorded way before everything happened but they were legally required to release the song. It's their last song under that label/company. They went on hiatus for 2 years because of the legal stuff and then 3 of the members were enlisted in the military. Just a month ago they all finally got released from the military. Woosung did some solo stuff under his own label while they were gone (he's American so he didn't have to enlist) and just 2 weeks ago they performed together live for the first time after everything that happened and have been very active on social media (mainly TikTok). They are now working on a comeback coming later this year that will be under Woosung's label Woolfpack.

She's in the Rain was my introduction to The Rose as well, a few years ago. I was hit about as hard as you've been. I have looked more into them, and it was instant love. I'm Army, and I've become Black Rose and were so happy to have found them. The Rose is extremely underrated. I think what BTS has as a group, The Rose also has it as a band. Incredibly nice and talented musicians living for their art and genuinely caring about their fans. Seeing them getting some love from reaction channels really fills my heart with warmth and hope. Please don't let the world sleep on them just because they are indie. Their work and message hold so much value. Thank you so much for this video.

Discovered WOOSUNG only thru his collab with Yoongi … so I tried to find out more …You are right, I felt about WOOSUNG and The Rose exactly how I felt when I fell down the BTS rabbit hole… I think they share the same “genuine-ness”, the same authenticity as BTS… the result of which is that charisma, that indescribable X factor that makes us all ready to “die” for them for want of a better term 😂 … but yes I am completely smitten… Thank you Yoongi for shedding light on WOOSUNG and The Rose… am now ARMY/BLACK ROSE till kingdom come!💜🥀❤️🌹🖤🍊🥰❤️‍🔥

I cried when I first saw the tracklist announcement and realised YoonGi did a collab with Woosung. Then, he called him a friend on IU's Palette and his Road to D-Day documentary included a full performance of Snooze!!! I get goosebumps hearing Suga's and Sammy's voice together, and the message of the Snooze is so heartfelt and beautiful. I'm so proud of both artists + Mr Sakamoto. Incredibly thankful for YoonGi that he granted that exposure to The Rose. I didn't know this would be possible, but I love BTS and The Rose even more since their collab.

Yes Sakamoto too is one of my music heroes I forgot to mention… the unforgettable theme tune of Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence being one of my all time favorite tracks… and all three musicians in one song (Snooze) well, it’s like we all died and went to heaven right?.. thank you for replying .. I read more about The Rose and found out about their legal issues with their former agencies and I just thought for a fledgling band to question authority/ power in South Korea must take a lot of courage … echoes of the BTS struggles at the start of their career being with Big Hit, the outsider Agency at that time … well of course now Hybe has gone all big business and PLC but hope BTS could still hold on to their artistic/creative control which I think they can as they are big enough even as individual artists to have negotiating power etc.. At any rate whatever happens I will support these guys.. ARMY/ BLACK ROSE to infinity and beyond 😂 💜🌹❤️🥰

The Rose is a really good band. I hope this wont be the last time you check them out. Theyre not just singers but are incredibly talented writers and producers of their music. Do check out their other songs and especially their live performances in KBS. I suggest SORRY, RED, ILY, and the latest one is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. P.S. their front man Woosung is actively doing solo stuff because one out of the three other members is still in military. I went to Woosung's Showcase in June in Seoul and there The Rose had their official comeback as a group. It was so epic and beautiful it made me cry. We waited so long for this moment, their reunion.. :) Now they have many amazing things planned as a band so I hope you can react to their songs again someday! 🖤🌹

I love this song so much, and i knew them because of this song. Goes straight to my mental health issues and it is beautiful . Thank you for reacting to them. I'm so glad you got a chance to listen to The Rose! KZread sent them to me a year or so ago, I was disheartened to find a relatively small body of work, but encouraged to see an intensely supportive fandom. This band is really special, Woosung's voice is so distinctive and they just have a genuine-ness that is really appealing. I had not seen this wonderful sand (?) painting video, it adds so much emotional availability to the song. Freaking legends of a group here. As you learned, they do have a recent comeback, but even that one is a leftover from their previous management company. Military enlistment had the members away for a while, so there was nothing new when they did finally get that contract situation sorted. Woosung, the lead singer with THAT voice, has done solo projects during the members' enlistment, so of course I'd recommend those (Face, Lazy, Dimples, and very recently Phase me, all of which is incredible). As a group, though, they have a lovely MV and discography. Other MVs I'd recommend are Red, Sorry, Baby, Like We Used To, and the one mentioned earlier, Beauty and the Beast (keep tissues handy again for the last two). There's also a cover of ILYSB done live that's so worth it to listen to and see. They have a lovely (if still FAR too small) fan base, Black Rose. Welcome to the amazingness. Glad this one hit as well as it did.

I write this before watching the vidio. It says you´re crying. I can´t listen to this song without crying. It feels too close to home. You can really feel the pain in the song and they do it so well. The level and quality of K-pop is something completely extra. So wonderful that there are kind-hearted people out ther who cares about others. I think that´s the sweetest thing ever.... i absolutely loved this reaction!! thank u so much for your support for them!! a little update on their situation: their lawsuit has been settled! while their lawsuit was ongoing, three of the members enlisted in their mandatory military service (the fourth is american and isn’t required) and just recently, the last member finally finished his service! they are now reunited, and woosung (the american) revealed that they have settled their lawsuit. in 2021 they released the song Beauty and the Beast (which was prerecorded since members were in the military) as their last song under their previous label. they’ve now actually established their own company to manage themselves, and are working on music soon to come!! us black roses (their fandom name) haven’t seen them together in person for around 2 years, so it’s so exciting for us to finally see them all together and happy!! hope u support their music in the future, thanks for the reaction :) the rose’s music always hits you right in the gut. they’re my comfort group personally :) if you’d like to see more, i’d recommend Red (a happier song) or Sorry (more emotional). and i recommend a live stage too, they’re amazing live since they’re a band!

You should watch them singing this live... Woosung grew up here in the States and he's got his solo album. But this band grew into me for almost a year now. I've gone to Woosung's concert and it was great!!! Can't wait to see all of them!

Yes, they are a band and I really love them. Even if you don't react to them, I recommend you watch their live performance, you can "feel" them. You notice that they love music. And Woosung, the vocalist, his expresions... LOL he is kinda quirky, hahaha. The songs RED, Bkack Rose or Sorry are also nice. Ofc, same with Woosung, he has some solo albums/songs. Another band i would want you to listen/watch is NELL, also korean, their lives/concerts are beautiful. You can check "Dream Catcher" in Nell's Room 2017, the visual with all the colors (they use a lot of lights) or my fave, "Counting Pulses" (this song is sad)
