My favorite song by The Police! It still sounds sweet and fresh like it did in ‘81.
Stewart Copeland on drums is ridiculously good.
The Police are one of those rabbit hole bands.. so incredible
Stewart Copeland on drums, one of the most underrated drummers out there. The bassist is Gordon Sumner (Sting) and the guitar is being handled by Andy Summers. Check out Don't Stand So Close to Me and Canary In A Coal Mine.

He’s really not underrated 😅 People KNOW how phenomenally good he is. The younger generations know of him because he’s usually listed as their favourite drummer’s favourite drummer etc.

Stu is underrated to people that have never held the sticks. To those of us that have (and do)...? The man is the Albert Einstein of drummers. Why that comparison?! Because he figured out the math of (Right Hand ×8)+(Bass drum×4)/(snare×1)×(hihat×16) = FUCKING GENIUS!!!! 😎😎😎😎 Stu was the guy that taught us "Its not that hard. One hand... you're getting paid the same to play." 😎

I feel like The Police were huge in the early 80s but are overall underrated as artists (band). Big police fan here (I'm a millennial), but hardly anybody knows who they are today. A Police movie or TV series would be 👍 good!
"Wrapped Around Your Finger" is another gr8 Police song..
This was always such a feel good song. Love Stings voice!!
🥁Stewart Copeland is on every reputable Top 10 list of Greatest Drummers of All Time. Stewart is a master of technical proficiency yet plays with very unique artistic creativity. I love how he uses double bass & his high hat skill is crazy. Definitely one of the most versatile, talented, & influential drummers in rock. Countless drummers name Stewart as their greatest influence including the late Taylor Hawkins. I recommend "Murder By Numbers" & "Synchronicity II" to really hear his style.

Stewart was such a banger, every bit as much as Peart was. Joe Daniels was the same with Local H.

Jennifer Remember his drumming on NO TIME THIS TIME from REGATTA DEBLANC ? WOW !!
I love The Police...Stewart Copeland is an exceptional drummer.
Stewart Copeland is one of the greatest drummers. Heavy Jamaican and west indies influence. My favorite song of theirs is "Spirits in the Material World."
Your big smile while listening to this says it all 😄 Great tune!!
A bit of background on this song.... Stewart isn't joking, from what I've always read, about the "war" between Stewart, Andy, & Sting on this song. Stewart said: "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" was a long war, a battle, and we ended up right at the beginning. The problem was, Sting had a demo of the song that was a hit (he recorded it in '76). You could put it on the radio just as it was, and it would have been a huge hit. It had all the elements. But we wanted to 'Police-ify' it because we're a band. And it was all done on keyboards, but of course, we're a guitar band. Sting did it on a drum box, and I'm not a drum box. "We tried it as reggae, we tried it slower, we tried it as punk, we tried it every which way, to the extent that it veered away from the original demo and didn't sound like a hit anymore. Finally, it was like, 'Screw it. Just run the thing down. Sting, you flag me through the changes, and let's just do it.' That was the first thing in the day. That take you hear on the record are the drums overdubbed to Sting's demo, with Sting standing over me waving me through it." I can literally picture this between these three! 🤦🏼♀️

Copeland is a monster. Figures Sting had to get Vinnie Colaiuta (probably a top 3 in the world of drummers) to fill his shoes.
Their creativity as a group was off the charts!
Definitely a favorite Police song! "Its a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up getting wet" such a great line! Glad you enjoyed them, they are a great time!♥️✌
Seeing you appreciate my generations music warms my heart.
My favorite band ever. Stewart Copeland is one of THE TOP skilled drummers of all time. LOVE him!!! I love them all. All 3 are brilliantly talented musically. ❤
FUN FACT: Sting used the lyrics - "It's a big enough umbrella But it's always me that ends up getting wet" in three songs. Twice in this one - the first verse & fade out, "O My God", & "Seven Days".
♥ early 80s Police - check out their song Spirits In The Material World
I seen them in concert in 1983. Also on the ticket was Journey(when Steve Perry was lead) & The Fixx was opening act. It was my 2nd concert. I was 12. That was one of the best concerts I've been to.
This was the first Police song I saw as a kid. We got MTV in '83, I was 11 or 12. They played this video all the fucking time. To me, this is the Police more than Roxanne is ... and Synchronicity is its own beast of an album.
The Bed’s Too Big Without You is a great reggae banger by the Police. There’s two versions, one in Mono I think, and both are pretty good. One of my favorite Police songs is the B-side to their first single, called Nothing Achieving. It’s a full-on punk song, recorded in fact when they were a four-piece.
I grew up listening to The Police, but didn't see thrm in concert until their reunion tour decades later. The show was fantastic! I thought it was going to be just ok because my seats were behind the stage, but we were actually so close, we felt like we could reach out and touch the band. And Sting's voice was flawless. One of the best times I ever had at a concert!
Remember riding around in mom's car with my sisters and this came on the radio. It was cold out so the windows were up. We were at a red light singing EE OHHH, EE OHHH, EE OHHH. Look at the car next to us and could see they were singing the same, EE OHHH, EE OHHH, EE OHHH. Good times.
I’m the early days when they did live shows, SO much energy! Good react.
The thing about Stuart Copeland is that he's GONNA tell you that he played that style because he realized that it was easier to play than playing like Neil Peart or Bonham. Stu was (and apparently IS, from what I've seen and read from him) basically a 'rara avis' among drummers. He wants to make things as EASY as he can. Thats why he can go 8 minutes into the opening song of a show by just hitting 4 on the floor with the bass drum and barely using his left hand at all. He sits in a pocket and OWNS that shit, making you wait for a snare hit like its about to bring the Apocalypse. 😎 The man is THE fucking genius of laziness. 🤣🤣💯😎
Oooh I love me some Police. Excellent choice! 🎤
My favorite Police song.
I was lucky to have seen them, at MSG with my sister. We walked out numb.
I love The Police, I grew up to their music because my mother listened to them.
You are hearing “Rhythm Heaven Epic - Remix 6” for the first time.
Thank you for not pausing boss!
Stewart Copeland makes the most wonderful soundtracks. I really feel like I'm inhabiting the worlds he creates while his music plays. Especially felt that with his soundtracks for "Fresh" and "Rapa Nui."
Don’t miss the piano as well!
I got really into the police when I was in a care home in late 70s, still love them.
Nice, great react you can never go wrong with the Police 80's early 90's. But if you can reaction to Police "Synchronicity 2" this was one of my fav
I have all the POlice albums and many of stings solo albums.
Stewart Copeland, my all time fav drummer, and legit goat.
MY FRIEND! So, the ❤️🔥 of the band is Stuart Copeland and his Rythm. So much So that you should check out his film, or the soundtrack at least to THE RYTHMATIST...or something of that spelling. He grew up around African rythm. In London, though, at this time, Island Music was ROOTED in EVERYTHING Love to you and yours
A great oldie.
King of Pain is a great Police song.

@@macsfe9828 oh dear🙂.I suppose if you don't know what steel drums sound like and have never analysed what instruments are being used or how they are getting that sound or never seen the video where the steel drums are on the back of the flatbed truck then maybe just maybe you might not realise there's steel drums in there?😄

Don’t stand so close to me, murder by numbers, walking on the moon, da do do do do
Eeeoohhoo!!
You a drummer?
I think they are influenced by reggae and Ska music.
You're cute.
It’s a shame that today’s auto tuned 21st century muzak can’t hold a candle to the 20th century’s actual musical talent.
OK OK...don't wanna be controversial... but you seem to RELLY jam to that and I wonder if it's cos your lovely wife is not sat next to you? She is always super chilled....just asking and stirring a bit :)
