Every reaction video I watched on this song has said "and I pretend to pray? what does that mean?" Its quite simple. It is cold outside , they have no money so they go to a church to "pretend to pray" so they can get warm. Hippies . Love and peace man. Money didnt matter....until it did. Love ur reaction videos. Corinne McKay according to pretty much every source I’ve seen it’s ‘pretend’. Wikipedia says ‘Michelle Phillips wrote the lyrics, "Well, I got down on my knees, and I pretend to pray," but Cass Elliot had been singing "I began to pray" until corrected by Phillips when they were touring. She sang "began" on the original recording.’ The source for that claim being this kzread.info/dash/bejne/no6Kw9tqgrzHqqw.html video.

Now days, like a rolling stone, more people are leaving and talking about leaving than ever before. Times they are a changing. .Group. 5th Dimension Song: Aquarius It captures the time.

I love your videos! It's so funny to watch 21 one year olds discovering these songs. Plus it's also really cool to see how you appreciate so many different styles. Very smart.

Cass Elliot was a guest on Scooby Doo in the later years. She approached life with a sense of humor and joked about herself often, but she died too young and had a voice that is missed today.

This was released in 1965. React to "This is Dedicated to the One I love". Mamas and Papas were HUGE in the mid to late 60's.

I don't think it was meant as an insult. they do look like they're wearing clothes from Scooby Doo. It's not a comment about their personal looks or bodies.

It's so wholesome and makes me so happy seeing y'all being open to different times and cultures, and vibing with these oldies and classic rock and not just shrugging off your shoulder. Good music is good music, no matter the genre. Love it

Keep goin' lads. Great to see you enjoying music from different eras. Music doesn't belong to anyone; it's for us all to enjoy. And good stuff is good stuff, no matter who sings it or plays it.
