Don't worry about comparisons with other melodic death metal bands, Soilwork is its complete own kind of music anyways :)

I think it’s great. Natural progression of a great band. Been around long enough to have nothing to prove to anyone anymore. I dig it when bands get to that position. 🤘

Dave Andersson, he knew exactly how much guitar, and when, to add to a song for the song's sake. I love that man, and I wish he hadn't done what he did, because I feel we've been deprived of so much good music as a result. Soilwork are friggin awesome, but also check out Night Flight Orchestra. Best band ever.

My favorite band, such a diverse discography. Now you have to try out their early stuff, A Predator's Portrait or The Chainheart Machine. It will shock you, but in a positive sense I believe :)

This was an instant like for me.

Sounds fantastic , really enjoying this new era of sound that Soilwork is exploring, its definitely going to be great when the album drops tomorrow. Hyped.

Love Övergivenheten, their best album and that’s a lot to say after the massive Living Infinate! It’s incredible how well they’ve evolved as a band. And oh my god they’re amazing live!!! They’re BETTER live and that’s impossible with these tracks.

Bjorn has progressed the band for so many years...what did you expect...Devin Townsend helped shape Bjorn more than the original band.

Little late to the show here, but try listening to Soilwork: "Nous Sommes la Guerre" and compare it to their other song "This godless universe" from the same album, then you see their wide range. Nous is not anything like death metal, but still pure magic. And This godless universe is probably more what you though that they was going to sound like! I just tripped in to your channel when searching for soilwork reactions. And I liked your reaction, and I'll definitely sub. Keep up the good work!

Been listening to soilwork since I was 15. I’m 32. They’re 1A and KSE is my 1B Scar Symmetry and Solution.45 my 1C lol. They have a massive collection of great songs. Our Hollow Our Home is a great band I suggest you check out. Listen to “divisions” by them. Dreams to Nowhere is hands down my favorite song on that album Harvest Spine second and Golgata 3rd. Haven’t enjoyed their past 2 albums not a big blast beats guy but this album has just had me hooked. Also loved the video!

Great band and a great video! You should definitely react to more of their stuff if you like what you've heard here. Although I prefer their earlier sound, especially during A Predator's Portrait era - they have always been putting out great songs. I think they've never put out a bad album, apart from maybe Sworn to a great divide, which was mostly set back by horrible production.

As a long time fan of Soilwork I'm not sure what I think of this. Feels like the "side project" of The Night Flight Orchestra is influencing Soilwork more and more and I for one don't like that. I mean I like Night Flight Orchestra to some extent but I want Soilwork to be Soilwork if you know what I mean. On the other hand bands evolve - and of course must be be allowed to, it's only natural. I still love the album "Natural Born Chaos" by Soilwork - I think it's a true masterpiece, and the following 4-5 albums are really good as well.

You really should react to VITALISM - PAGAN PT 2. It will really blow your mind. It's a huge shame they broke up as a band. Probably the most talented guitar duo in metal.

Soilwork has expanded their discography over the years to add in more rock instead of being straight up melodic death metal. Bjorn is one of the best metal singers to ever exist. Try "Spectrum of Eternity" the opening track from their double album "The Living Infinite". It's an absolute onslaught of balls to the wall metal that every band would sell their soul for. "Enemies of Fidelity" is another track from their 10th album that will make you question blast beats and clean vocals in harmony.
